The 25 Best Bags of Milan Fashion Week Spring 2016

Paris Fashion Week has already started, but thankfully, all of the shows with the best bags come later in the schedule, which gives us a little bit of much-needed time to catch our breath before the last week of the seasonal shows. That means it’s time to look back at Milan, which was an embarrassment of riches, handbag-wise.

Some of the biggest handbag-producing luxury brands in the world are Italian, and luckily for us, Fendi, Gucci, Prada and Bottega Veneta all had strong showings from spring. Below, check out the best bags from those names and beyond.

im liking prada, tods, gucci

That Prada bag in a bag design will never convince me. The shape is still so ugly despite the beautiful color and texture combination.

oui

The funniest thing for me, is that header picture once again proves how the Prada Inside bag could be much better. Putting it top-and-bottom with the BV (similar silhouette) shows how much better the Prada could have been, but not.

That traffic cone is the worst thing EVER

Ashley

I guess we don’t understand “fashion” because I agree that is the ugliest traffic cone! I cannot begin to even imagine how to fit a traffic cone purse into an outfit that I would carry that! 🙂 lol

kindled

I am actually pretty charmed by the traffic cone for a runway show.

Dear Amanda I’d like to read more often about Marni, Armani, Versace, Emilio Pucci and other designers in Purse Blog because it’s one of my fav blogs but you write always about the same brands (Prada, Bottega, Gucci, Chanel, Vuitton, Dior, Marc Jacobs). Thank you.

Ashley

Oh and more Tory Burch, Coach brand stuff too, please! 🙂

seres

The whole traffic cone look would be awesome in the new Ghostbusters!

PS. In Europe some Versace SS16 bags and backpacks are alrealy available on Versace e-commerce! http://uk.versace.com/Fashion-Show-SS16-Bags/142700,en_GB,sc.html

Loved the Bottega Veneta bag in slide 2 but otherwise these bags aren’t doing much for me – seems to be a trend of awkward bag shapes and over embellishment.

Emily

Bally is the no 1 for me

Katy ;P

The second Dolce & Gabbana bag is so whimsical!! Looks like something Florence Welch would wear.

Jess

They’re all a bit busy. I don’t mind the fendi with the rope. I tend to go for simple bags. As for the traffic cone. I’d rather grab one off the street.

Vicky

I like many bags here.
