Another fashion week has come and gone (this time, Milan Fashion Week), and all that’s left are the great bags to look forward to and the street style shots of the fashion insiders and celebs who attended. We’ll have more on Milan’s most notable runway bags tomorrow, but right now, we wanted to take a look at the best things we saw outside. Check out our finds below.
Ainett Stephens
Hermès Kelly Bag
Although Ainett is Venezuelan, her modeling career has found the lion’s share of its success in Italy.
Anastasiia Masiutkina
Paula Cademartori Dun Dun Mini Bag
$1,580 via The Corner
If you’re not familiar with Anastasiia, she’s a very modern fashion hybrid: a model/blogger.
Anna Dello Russo
Saint Laurent Emmanuelle Fringe Bucket Bag
$1,990 via MATCHESFASHION.COM
Since Anna is a native Italian, I was hoping to see more of her signature kooky looks during MFW. Sadly, we only found two pictures of her.
Anna Dello Russo
Dsquared2 Feather Bag
I’m sure that the marabou-covered thing ADR is carrying in this photo is a purse, but that’s about all I’m sure of.
Anna Wintour
Reed Krakoff Atlantique Tote
$1,390 via Saks
Anna so rarely carries a bag to fashion shows that this feels like a big endorsement of Reed Krakoff.
Candela Novembre
Bulgari Serpenti Top Handle Bag
Bulgari held a big party to introduce its new accessories to the world during MFW; expect to see a few more of these bags below.
Chiara Ferragni
Fendi 3Baguette and Karlito Bag Bug
$2,550 via Barneys
Of all the celebrity looks I saw while hunting through photos from Fashion Week, I most consistently liked Chiaras, even when they were kind of over-the-top.
Chiara Ferragni
Valentino 1973 Rockstud Rainbow Bag
$1,675 via MATCHESFASHION.COM
This is the stuff dreams are made of, right here.
Christian Dior Lady Dior Mini Tote
Our photo agency didn’t exactly do a flawless job of getting everyone’s name while out shooting street style photos, but a couple of the looks were good enough to feature anyway. If you can identify any of the women who are missing names, please let us know!
Cristina de Pin
Tod’s Signature Clutch
Shop Tod’s via Nordstrom
I very much appreciate when, occasionally, a paparazzi photo looks like it might have been taken by a fashion photographer instead.
Federica Fontana
Dolce & Gabbana Miss Dolce Shoulder Bag
Shop Dolce & Gabbana via MATCHESFASHION.COM
If you’re not familiar with Federica, she’s a TV host and sports announcer.
Fendi Mini Peekaboo Bag
$3,950 via Saks
This is another ID we don’t have–help us out if you can!
Freida Pinto
To me, Freida’s bag looks vintage. Since she was attending the Ferragamo show (and Ferragamo’s vintage bags tend to age well), I’m guessing that’s what it is.
Gigi Hadid
Saint Laurent Sac de Jour
$2,990 via Nordstrom
Although Gigi attended several shows at NYFW instead of modeling in them, in Milan, she was back on duty full-time.
Giorgia Palmas
Saint Laurent Sac de Jour Tote
$3,490 via Net-a-Porter
There’s a lot of blue going on in this look, but somehow it works out.
Helena Bordon
Fendi Micro Peekaboo and Karlito Bag Bug
$1,550 via Nordstrom
Helena’s phone is in her hand, so it’s unclear what, if anything, fits inside this little bag.
Helena Bordon
Moschino Teddy Bear Head Clutch
$525 via Neiman Marcus
This is just as creepy as when Charlotte Olympia did it. Maybe creepier.
Helena Bordon
Olympia Le-Tan Book Clutch
$1,880 via Net-a-Porter
This outfit, on the other hand, does fashion-with-whimsy just right.
Hofit Golan
Salvatore Ferragamo Sofia Bag
$2,242 via MyTheresa
It seems like we catch Hofit, an Israeli TV presenter, with a Sofia at least once per European fashion week.
Karlie Kloss
Balenciaga Suede Papier A4 Tote
Shop via Balenciaga
Karlie’s been carrying this bag everywhere lately, and we can see why–it’s roomy, lightweight and neutral without being bland.
Kendall Jenner
Céline Nano Luggage Tote
Although Kendall’s family loves paparazzi attention, she seems to have done her best to fly under the radar while working in Milan.
Leigh Lezark
DSquared Twin Peaks Mini Tote
$1,880 via LUISAVIAROMA
I’m genuinely curious what percentage of Leigh’s income comes from being a fashion show guest. (A good gig, if you can get it.)
Lil Ching Li
Christian Dior lady Dior Mini Tote
French designers weren’t over-represented on the arms of Milan’s show attendees, but we did see several Diors–a sign of a trend to come, in my opinion.
Lily Donaldson
Joan Smalls
Yves Saint Laurent Muse Bag
Givenchy Floral Antigona Zip Clutch
$375 via Net-a-Porter
It makes me happy that Lily Donaldson, supermodel extraordinaire with access to any bag she wants, is carrying an oldie-but-goodie from the back of her closet.
Linda Tol
Fendi By The Way Bag
$3,900 via Saks
I do love a woman in a smart suit.
Linda Tol
Marni Trunk Shoulder Bag
$1,495 via MATCHESFASHION.COM
This, on the other hand, is a lot of look. Good bag, though.
Mariu De Sica
Roger Vivier Miss Viv Heart Bag
Shop Roger Vivier via LUISAVIAROMA
We included this bag in a Valentine’s Day roundup, but people liked it so much that it’s already sold out.
Nathalie Dompé
Bulgari Seprenti Top Handle Bag
Something tells me we’re going to see even more stars carrying Bulgari bags over the next few months.
Paula Cademartori Dun Dun Mini Bag
$1,580 via TheCorner
Brazilian-born, Italy-based Paula Cademartori is an ever-bigger hit among European fashion insiders.
Salma Hayek
Gucci Suede Shoulder Bag
Shop via Gucci
Gucci is owned by Salma’s husband’s fashion empire, so of course she showed up to support the brand’s new creative director carrying on of his first collection’s runway bags.
Umberta Gnutti Beretta
Vlieger & Vandam Guardian Angel Clutch
$356 via LUISAVIAROMA
Umberta is maybe the only person on the planet who could carry this clutch and make it seem totally appropriate. (Yes, she’s one of those Berettas.)
Veronica Ferraro
Valentino Camouflage Lock Bag
$2,495 via Neiman Marcus
Camouflage’s fashion ubiquity was relatively brief, so I still enjoy seeing it in street style shots. If only all trends were so merciful.
Virginia Galateri
Bulgari Serpenti Clutch
I’m pretty sure that this is the same Serpenti that Bulgari Laura Dern carried to the Oscars last Sunday.
Yvonne Sciò
Bulgari Serpenti Shoulder Bag
Suddenly I want a Bulgari bag; the power of suggestions is very strong.
This is the second time Wintour’s carried an Atlantique. She toted one before while moving into a hotel during Hurricane Sandy. Albeit, her newest iteration (the crocodile) is lightyears more luxurious!
Slide #32 is an italian fashion blogger Veronica Ferraro
Thank you–I added that info to the post!
Anna Dello Russo’s green feather bag its from Dsquared2
Thank you–post has been updated!
I love the texture of the Tod’s clutch. Very unique. Great commentary as always!
The unknown people look a lot very overdressed, like they have been in front of the mirror choosing what to dress for farther longed then a few moments like the experiented fashionists
Unlikely the fashionists I mean
Freida Pinto looks amazing. I love Selma Hayek’s bag. I don’t know who Helena Bordon is, but she looked great in every pic, especially that green/orange combo in #17.
linda tol best dressed….
I reserved a Fendi Micro Peekaboo at Saks and it arrived yesterday. I was impressed with the detail of this micro version, but was unable to fit my iPhone 6 in the bag. Such a shame.
That’s why I always like to look at the measurements of any bag I order!
Oh the Miss Dolce is lovely (#11) although I would prefer silver hardware with the gray…Also always love a Gucci and Selma’s is gorgeous!!
I don’t usually like drool over bags but, I fell in love with:
slide 2: DunDun Mini,
slide 3: ADR’s St Laurent Emmanuelle fringe,
slide 8: Valentino Rockstud Rainbow (show stopper),
slide 9: CD mini – boxy but dainty
slide 16:Helena Borden OMG!!! Gorgeous Fendi Micro pink love, love love! Her whole outfit is TDF!!!!
Constructive criticism:
Silde 5: Dear Anna Wintour: tsk, tsk, tsk…Darling it is 2015! Curled-under bangs weren’t cute in 1978 and they’re still not cute! Bobs are great, but for the good of the planet, it’s time to update that fringe of yours!!!!! On behalf of everyone who wants to consider you still relevant, get the to a salon!!!! xxoo, Everyone!
Love how low maintenance Kendall can be!
I agree! She’s always wearing the same Celine nano like the rest of us! 🙂
am I the only one who doesn’t understand the hype around Chiara? I seriously dont understand how the blonde salad was so successful, I don’t think her personal style is anything to write home about and when she attends shows she always looks like the Walmart version of ADR. She goes over the top with the weird ensembles but never pulls it off. She looked like the gay pride version of big bird in that blue coat.
