If you haven’t checked it out, Chanel’s most recent Fall-Winter 2019/20 Collection features a whole lot of fuzz and fluff. Quite literally, many of the bags are draped in warm and fuzzy textures and fabrics, comparable to what you’d expect on your favorite sweater or coat.
Chanel isn’t the only designer embracing this cool-weather wintery trend. Take a look at a variety of plush bags from Isabel Marant, Mansur Gavriel, and Saint Laurent, using fabrics like wool, sheepskin, and feathers.
Though I think it would be borderline ridiculous to sport something like this in Miami (we’re lucky to get a consecutive week of temperatures in the 60s!), I can see the allure of this style in places like New York or Chicago.
Take a look at the picks below. Would you spend big bucks to get your hands on one?
As impractical as it is…I LOVE that Chanel feather flap bag. Does it come in black!?!?!
Oh! I came here to same the same thing! It’s completely impractical and totally frivolous, but I love it too!
Some of these bags look like old carpet.
Not sure I’m on board with this trend. Money and documents are important but do not need to be kept warm. At those prices I’ll buy myself vintage fur and keep myself warm.
They already look dirty. 🙂
Love the look of fuzzy bags, but I wouldn’t buy one too impractical for daily use. But if i’m shopping i’ll pet them and enjoy the fuzzy feeling they.
Two words: dust magnets
If my weather permit, yes. I really like the shearling classic flap that comes out recently. Too bad I live in tropical and it may look weird. But I seriously really really love it. I may break down and get it though.
