If you’re an avid reader of PurseBlog then you may remember reading how much I adore the color purple. Purple tugs at my heart in a way that most other colors don’t and I’m personally very excited that bright, bold colors are trending big time this spring. Recently I’ve put color back on my radar, trading the not-so-shocking NYC uniform of all black all the time for pops of color here and there. And while I’ve begun to experiment with varying shades of the rainbow, there’s no other hue I’d rather do than violet.
Now more than ever my favorite color seems to be everywhere but not just any old shade of purple, I’m talking beautiful baby purples and I have to admit, I am loving all things lilac lately. It started with my adoration for Bottega Veneta’s Cassette bag, but my obsession has only grown from there.

As much as I WANT to like this color, it always reminds me of Easter and this very girly vibe lol I was debating between the lavender mini jodie and the grass green in the boutique, and overall I’m really happy I went with the green. Bit if your into girly colors I could see how this would appeal to you.
Ahh both of those colors are SO good. I’m not typically very ‘girly’ but I wear a lot of sneakers so I think that casual aspect tones down the girly vibe of lilac. The Bottega green is just to die for too – I’m also looking to add a Jodie bag to my collection soon. While I love the purple I’m not sure how much I’d actually use it and same with the green.
It’s very easy to add a pop of color into your wardrobe, but the key is you have to really LOVE that color for you to be motivated to use it. It’s always much easier to reach for that black or brown bag, especially in the winter months. The green just spoke to me so I knew that I would want to pull it out here and there, whereas the kiwi that I had months ago, seemed a little off-putting a month in, and the result was me selling it lol
