I never understood the rule of not wearing white after Labor Day. I’ve read up on the history (it’s pretty snobby!), but as someone who lives in Miami, the practice isn’t that realistic.
In a similar vein, I’m not sure how you feel about wearing light and bright purses in what feels like a never-ending winter (yes, it’s even been cold in Miami this year!), but I’m alllllll for it. That’s why I’m ready to manifest a new (and hopefully warmer) season by lusting over the latest in spring handbag fashions. More specifically, anything with a pastel hue.
Not surprisingly, I’m really into the Fendi Kan I Leather Chain Shoulder Bag. The light pink color is adorable and the purse itself gives off a timeless and chic vibe. The Strathberry Ostrich Feathers & Leather Nano Tote Bag is a little out of my comfort zone, but I think it would make the perfect addition to a classic white or neutral outfit. Otherwise, I know there’s been a contentious debate in regards to how PurseBloggers feel about the new Chloe collection (namely the large ‘C’ logo that seems to be plastered on almost every bag), but I’d definitely consider purchasing See by Chloé’s icy blue crossbody. (Don’t worry—there’s no ‘C’ in sight.)

Why not go a piece on D&G bags? We’ve seen a continuous stream of overpriced abominations for weeks on PurseBlog. The Sicily Bag is a reasonably priced classic piece. Comes in lots of colors and sizes.

If we go down that path then no brands would be featured. Prada’s blackface campaign didn’t stop them from being mentioned or paying for sponsored posts. Brands are presented. Buyers are free to accept or reject for whatever reason.
Prada’s incident is an isolated one, and while they should not have done what they did, they took the right measures to address the issue and apologize in the right way. They took the right steps in making sure they don’t make a huge mistake like that again.
D&G constantly makes ignorant and racist comments. Almost every few months Stefano Gabbana is seen trolling someone via Instagram DM or making rude and racist comments about people of color, LGBT folks, or overweight people. He never learns and continues his disgusting behavior despite being called out multiple times for the s*** that he keeps spewing out of his mouth.
Few seem to have a problem with buying Chanel or featuring it on PB inspite of “Kaiser Karl” consistently fat shaming or Coco herself being a Nazi sympathizer. (Refer to the recent post after he passed away). If the consensus is PB should pass all brands through a morals filter, rejecting those deemed immoral, so be it. Until then a brand is a brand. No one is telling you to buy D&G.
