When it comes to throwback bags, one brand that was (and is!) incredibly beloved for its quality and craftsmanship is Prada. Known for its wide variety of beautiful leathers, silhouettes, and materials, we’ve taken a look at Prada bags from the past before, but because there are so many options, today we’re revisiting the brand’s bags as far back as 15 years ago. While some of these bags may appear dated at first, many of the shapes and materials used speak to the Prada DNA at its core, devoid of overt logos, in-your-face branding, or overly trendy shapes. It would be remiss not to mention that there isn’t a mini (or micro) bag in sight, though.
Today, Prada remains one of the most coveted handbag labels. Take a look below at what else we dug up from deep in the Prada archives. Do you remember these bags?
For me these Prada bags are classic. I badly wanted the Prada fairy bag before back in college. Too bad i didnt have enough money to buy it back then. I still love the print until now. I have a Prada bag similar to Katie Holmes but in tricolor perforated leather. Was thinking about selling it. Its so similar to the LV speedy bandoliere. My mom still has the the Prada ruched style though im not a fan of it.
The Fairy bag…the one that got away. Sienna and Miranda’s bags have a Balenciaga vibe.
I wanted the Fairy bag too! I remember calling so many Prada boutiques to try and find one. The popularity went quickly so I guess for the best I didn’t get one.
Omg Kate Middleton owned other bags than the longchamp before getting married? This is why I’m here 🙂
Yes! She was a big fan of Prada and Tods. 😊
