The luxury landscape is shifting, and nowhere is that more evident than in the handbag market. More brands now have the chance to carve out a bigger slice of the pie. Ralph Lauren isn’t exactly a small player in fashion, but when it comes to handbags, the brand hasn’t traditionally carried the same weight as its heavyweight counterparts.
Ralph Lauren Bags Step Into the Spotlight
That’s beginning to change. With recent hits like the Polo ID and The Ralph line making waves, Ralph Lauren and Polo Ralph Lauren’s bag offerings have expanded.
At last season’s show, we saw plenty of these bags on attendees, most clearly dressed by the brand. This season, it’s more of the same: signature bags styled with full head-to-toe Ralph Lauren looks. While the minimalist RL 888 made appearances, I personally don’t love the RL hardware logo.
The Ralph: A Street Style Standout
But The Ralph? That’s a bag I can get behind. The leather is soft, the size is just right for daily life, and it has that effortless wearability, even when carried tucked under the arm (very fashion-forward, though I’ll admit I never actually do that).
As “big bag” prices continue pushing out more of their once-core customers, the door is wide open for brands like Ralph Lauren to enter. And from what we’re seeing on the street, the timing couldn’t be better.
