An interesting design on a well-known bag is sure to get people talking, and that is what I know will happen with this Proenza Schouler PS1. The boys behind the brand released an array of artistic bold prints for Spring 2013, and my favorite rendition is the crowd print. We didn’t cover this bag in our previous roundup, but I’m glad we left it out so I could highlight it in more depth.
I keep zooming in on this bag as if I’m trying to see if I know anyone in this crowd print. It’s not like their faces are blurry – quite the contrary, they’re crisp, clear and identifiable. I don’t know where the image comes from, but I wish I knew the back story and who is in the picture.

This seems like something that would be in an H & M or Target collaboration, not a full price bag.
PS are wonderful. Perhaps you haven’t used one. They are a dream to use, luxourious leather and beautiful colors. If had a bit more money, I would pop for one of these…….or maybe the grafitti one.
This is not the best design they have used on this bag. I have loved these bags from afar for a while but over christmas I went to buy one and was actually quite disapointed with the leather. Maybe it was just the ones they had at the time, but it really put me off. To change my mind they are gonna have to do better then this.
I agree with you – I was a long time fan of their design. When I went to Barneys to purchase one, the leather and the bag seemed quite flimsy. Looks great on others, but I would rather opt for a PS11.
I know, all those gorgeose pictures of the bag being worn by editores and modles at fashion week. The PS11 is interesting though, especially in the bright and neon colours. Hopefully it feels better in person then this one did.

It’s kind of cool to look at, but I wouldn’t buy it.
The crowd print pattern is nearly a replica of a 911 memorial quilt of victims that I have seen before; right down to the half-square triangles. If I’m paying $2,550 for a bag, it better come with $2100 cash in it.
