You'll want to wear these fresh new, but old finds now and beyond

Sustainability has been a hot topic in the fashion industry as of late, with Lyst even reporting a 75% year over year increase in 2019 for searches mentioning sustainable fashion. With an intense focus on sustainability many consumers are also looking to the resale market.

Business of Fashion’s the State of Fashion 2020 reported an increase in consumer demand for vintage products. The report stated “There is also increasing response to consumer demand for newer business models which tackle overconsumption, such as rental and resale”.

I’m very knowledgeable about bags/prices and most of these are overpriced for their condition.

Julia

Agreed, except maybe the Chanel. But second hand bags have become pretty costly lately.

Aarthi Krishnan

Second hand prices for Chanel have been jacked up. Take a look at Fashionphile. It is becoming unaffordable everywhere and the whole point of used is being lost.

Susan

Glad I bought my bags when I did.
Now I’m going to use & appreciate them.

Jessica

Chanel prices are through the roof. I’ve been trying to get a decent Diana, the ones that used to be $2k are now $4k. Crazy.

FashionableLena

I agree. Most of these bags are WAY overpriced. I’ve seen the Troutter for around $900. The Fendi Chef for less than $200 for leather. Because the Zucca print is the most sought after, they fetch a little more. If you do your research and remain patient, you can get good deals.

However, for the Chanel and Hermès bags, I wouldn’t hold my breath. Unless you are willing to buy one in fair shape and have it spruced up by the design house’s spa services, I’d jump on one.

Lab Consignment

Sharing great finds from other resellers would be nice. These resellers don’t need the press. Reputable shops like LAB who have the same great merchandise, but lack an advertising budget would appreciate the help. Especially during these times. Our pricing is in CAD, which for your American readers gets them so much more bang for their buck. Just sayin’!

You should definitely take the “vintage” label off that Gucci bag. It’s Frida Giannini era & there’s no way it’s more than 10 years old.

valerie

Still too pricey.
