On Friday, I navigated the streets of NYC with way more in tow than a typical day. I had a flight to catch after work and was going directly to the airport. So, in typical New York fashion, when you most need a cab, not a single cab is available. After waiting far too long in the morning heat, I decided to make my way to work with my suitcase, carry on and purse in tow. Needless to say, it was an ordeal. The worst part was the fact that my carry-on was better suited to being held in one’s hand, but since I had a ways to go, I forced it onto my shoulder. It was at that point that I swore off of all large bags that don’t boast a lovely shoulder strap.
Naturally, when I came across this gorgeous Miu Miu Bow Leather Tote, I was hoping with every fiber in my being that it had a shoulder strap. To my utter excitement, it does!
There is something about a classically shaped bag that constantly lures me in. This bag boasts gorgeous navy calf leather, offset with gold hardware. The fold-over top offers a nice touch and a different opportunity to show off that really amazing hardware. Miu Miu added just a hint of femininity with bows at the sides of the bag, which I am also a fan of. The bag is fully lined in gray satin and, of course, has plenty of pockets/compartments for storage. It really is a great bag, timeless in nature. With a bag like this on my shoulder, perhaps navigating the city loaded up with too many things wouldn’t be so bad? Buy through NAP for $1650.
Miu Miu’s had this style of bag out for awhile and it was Dooney who in fact copied Miu Miu.

This bag used to be tops on my wish list, but I realized in real life it’s much too heavy to be functional. I guess that’s the price you pay for thick smooshy leather…
You know the vybez I had it in fuschia I loved how luxurious the leather felt and even after Approximately 15 years the leather had held up pretty well. Until my ex boyfriend had a temper stroll and urinated in it and threw it out the window 😪
The only thing I didn’t like was that it only had a small pouch for cards and everything was always jumbled in the bottom.
I had the same problem with my Furla Candy bag: so uncomfortable to carry so i took the shoulder strap of another bag and attached it to it! It worked!!! 🙂

I am so into the shape of this bag and this brand right now, and a little upset to hear that this bag was heavy and too similar to other brands. I am not really into Dooney. I am actually waiting for it to be delivered and really hope it’s a keeper ! This is supposed to be my Summer Bag.
I just got my daughter a Phillip Lim Edie Bow and hope to be swapping the Miu Miu with her bag once in a while. (Totally different bags, I know)
This bag obsession is quite new for me. I was very content with 1990s Coach bags – then honestly, the next ten years was “lost”- then I went to MK. I adore the structured bags and love his colors but got real tired of all the noise from the ones with the metal chain straps!
Chanel seems to be the end-all be-all in my book and I have a goal to own one at some point. But for now I considering a Balenciaga and YSL and maybe even a different Miu Miu. (How is that pronounced by the way? Like mee-you or myu? LOL)
