Social media is such a time suck for me. I actually set limits on my Instagram and TikTok accounts so that I am reminded when I have hit 30 minutes for the day and then need to manually accept allowing more time for myself. It doesn’t neccessairly stop me, but it gives me pause. I can tell you that majority of my scrolling is mindless, as it is for so many of us, but I have also discovered some amazingness thanks to social media.
I have met friends that have turned to real life friends, discovered new brands, found hotels to stay at, have way too many stunning homes suggested to me that I share for when I win the lotto, and I’ve found artists whose work I adore. All of that with a lot of really silly memes interspersed.
One artist I found thanks to social media is Werner Bronkhorst, who shares his work that combines abstract sculptural, multi-dimensional backgrounds with hyper-realistic paintings of miniature people. I am enamored by his work, in love with his work, and can not afford his work. But me, with millions of others, follow along with his distinctive style.
And my whole, long, outdrawn intro is to share that when I saw the latest release from Louis Vuitton, it immediately made me think of Werner Bronkhorst.
Sports Meet SLGs
This small leather goods collection uses bright, fun colors with reinterpreted motifs as part of the men’s Louis Vuitton’s new SLG collection. The motifs are all activity-focused, from tennis to skiing to skateboarding to baseketball and more. Each part of the collection features an item with colored Monogram canvas that is decorated with a sports scene viewed from above. There are card cases and different variations of wallets.
For those of you who love any of these sports or have someone in your life who does, this may be the best collection that melds fun, function, and sports!

The blue basketball wallet is my favorite because I love the sport, and blue is my color!
