It’s been a full month since all of the fashion week festivities started, and they’ve finally come to an end. Showing at the very end of the cycle can either be a blessing or a curse; if what you’ve put together is merely mediocre (or worse, if it’s flat-out bad), critics and buyers are more likely to look harshly on it because of our fatigue at four weeks worth of clothes and accessories. If the collection you’re presenting is as good as beautifully fetishistic Louis Vuitton Fall 2011, though, then you get the glorious distinction of closing out the season on a high note and having your clothes by foremost in the minds of editors.
Vuitton is not a handbag company that I normally look to for my own purchases because of my personal preference toward bags without logos, but its fall accessory offerings were easily some of the best of the entire season. The central idea of the handbag collection was a theme and variations starring the brand’s ever-popular Lockit shape, much like the Speedy iterations that we saw from Vuitton for Fall 2010. It’s an idea that worked well then and works well now, with the disciplined lines of the Lockit lending themselves seamlessly to the upscale kink of the Vuitton ready-to-wear. Let’s not talk about the fuzzy bags and pretend those never happened, ok? Everything else was too good of a distraction.

I want to focus on how gorgeous the green bags are, but all I can think about is how much some of those fuzzy bags look like they’ve gone off. Someone left them in the back of the fridge for too long and now they’re growing mould.

These are lovely (the furry ones make me laugh, I hope they are not REAL fur). Even the strapless bags aren’t that bad, though I would never buy one. What a nice collection.

Love them (except for the Chewbacca bags) My favorites are the clutches, even though I don’t use clutches, and the yellow bag. It kinda reminds me of a chic Mary Poppins.

Sooooooo obvious LVMH wants to be Hermes and wants Hermes !!! A hint to the shadow bags????? And then the fantasy colored croc I feel if anyone ever said let’s make the lobby of the mirage in las Vegas into a bag there it is .
Having said that the more monogramed bags very reflective of vuittons origin are well tolerable but…… Honestly, not exactly my favorite collection.
Ooo and one more thing the bags that look as if they were made out of bad shag carpets from the 70s are a shame to this brand that and turning damier into an incomplete argyle again I have to say the truth I hate this collection as much as I hate …….better not say I just do not like it !!
I don’t like this collection. TOo “old stuff” nad osmetimes terrible “Like that fake damier with brown and beige…bleah”! However, I’m sure that there’ll be some stupid celebs who will spend thousands of dollars for these terrible bags ;D

so, vuitton carried off with the ladylike aesthetic that was f/w 2010-11… love the rectangular lockits and the clutches.. i dont think the carpety bags will make it to production (hopefully, if yes, very very limited quantities hehe)… but loving the whole vibe.. marc Jacobs is really my favorite designer ever!

I don’t mind logos. But, I still don’t put Louis Vuitton on my must have list. But, I do own the famous pouchette.
My favorite is the green croc, of course. I also liked numbers 41, 43, and 67.
Some of them look like really bad DIY projects. The fur ones look as though someone took their child’s old teddy bear and fashioned themselves a handbag.

i’m kind of meh about this collection. i do like the white with black contrast, but the shapes and textures all feel a little familiar.
