STAUD has been a go-to for fashionistas for the last couple of years, known for its trendy, yet accessible bags and minimalist designs, the brand burst onto our radar and we haven’t looked away since. Now, STAUD is offering a new service that stylish pet-lovers are going to love. Introducing: Custom, hand-painted bags by STAUD, featuring a portrait of your beloved pet.
The just-launched service is available via STAUD’s website, and customers can choose from two of the brand’s most popular styles— the Shirley bag, or the Bissett bag. Both bags on their own are incredibly reasonable, and even with the hand-painted service, all styles remain under $500, ranging from $310 to $450. For comparisons sake, a plain leather Bissett bag will set you back $350 while the custom-painted option costs $450. Discover the options via STAUD.com.
While designers have long been inspired by their pets (remember the Louis Vuitton x Grace Coddington collection, the Givenchy dog bag or Balenciaga’s line of pet bags?), this custom portrait service is the first of its kind. After submitting a purchase, the buyer must e-mail a full body photo of their pet to the brand’s customer care address. Additionally they should allow for 3-4 weeks time after placing orders to receive their new masterpiece.

Excellent find, I don’t have the budget for this now but it made me smile. If anyone buys one, I’d love to see it!
This idea is not new – Kardashian just showed her painted Birkin 😉 I know someone who can do this Alina-Art.de
Reminds me of Anya Hindmarch back in the old days where you could put a custom photo of your pet on their bags. This is a more updated version. Cute!
If anyone reads this and is considering getting custom pet stuff from staud please don’t. I ordered a custom pet portrait sweater for my sister in law on November 13 for Christmas and finally saw it December 23 and wanted to cry. It looks nothing like her dog, it looks like a bundle of scar tissue with an eye stuck on it. And even though their website said their customer service was open 9-1 today on Christmas Eve they did not pick up their phone all day or respond to my emails so I paid like $300 for this ugly as hell sweater that managed to make a very cute dog look like a bloated and scarred old hockey player.
