Today is National Handbag Day, a holiday we created in 2013 to celebrate the love of handbags that unites so many of us. This year feels especially meaningful because I’m marking it with something very close to my heart: the announcement of M & V Accessories. After two decades in this industry, I’m creating something of my own.
This has been a true labor of love. I’ve learned so much about the process, which I’ll share more about when we officially launch. I didn’t set out to create something because I thought the world needed more options. We all know that there are endless choices in the world of handbags and accessories.
What I did want was to take everything I’ve learned over the last twenty years and pour it into something that’s entirely mine. From concept to design to production, I’ve been involved in every step.
You might wonder why I chose to start with pouches instead of bags. The answer is simple. I’ve always been as much a pouch person as I am a bag person. Pouches are my quiet essentials.
They keep my life organized, my kids safe with life-saving allergy supplies close by, and my everyday must-haves easy to find. They’re small pieces that carry big meaning. If you find me with a bag, you’ll always find me with a pouch. They go hand in hand in my life.

This feels like the start of something truly special, and it means so much to share it on the very day that started it all for PurseBlog!
This is so exciting!! Are the blue and brown suede?! Gorgeous!
Megs! Yay!!!
Where is this manufactured?
I love how this announcement comes after the “why does every brand want to sell you a handbag”-post
