While some brands rely on churning out what seems like hundreds of different designs each season, Dior sticks to quality over quantity. Over the past seveal years, Dior has slowly but surely created some of its most sought-after bags, including the Diorama Bag, Be Dior Bag and Dune Bag. On top of that, there are, of course, classics like the Lady Dior, to which we’ve devoted a full bag guide, as well.
But now there’s a new Dior bag on the block, and I’m really excited. The new Dior Diorever Bag is a cutting-edge urban tote, staying true to the Dior aesthetic with its classic beauty and clean lines. Dior is one of few brands with the kind of rich heritage and modern workmanship that consumers can see in every design, and that’s definitely true of the Diorever.
A reversible flap is the focal point of the bag, which lends it a bold character. Though most totes are simply totes, the Diorever brings much more, design-wise, while staying very simple. The crest-shaped clasp makes a statement and is recognizable as a marker of the new-age Dior woman. There are three sizes–mini, medium and large–and each comes with an optional shoulder strap. The mini starts at $2,950, medium at $3,400 and large at $3,900, with prices going up depending on the material.
You can shop this bag at Dior stores worldwide, but first, check out our exclusive photos of all three sizes below.
Slide 3, take all my money! It’s a gorgeous and unique bag. I love Dior!
I really wonder why they don’t make the Dune in non-exotics. I don’t like exotics, but all they have to offer are Python and crocs. I just want a simple calf.
Bags in general are going ape sheet crazy. Bring me back to the classics. That’s where I’ll spend my money. All of these trends….it’s just too much.
If you’re serious about finding a classic bag, check out Frank Clegg. I bought their Small Laurelie tote; it has a simple style and is so functional. It has a generous shoulder drop, and I can cram so much in their without it getting too heavy.
Fab photos, Vlad!
Great bag. What I like: the handles are attached to the bag body, not the flap; there is a flap for security; design is classic. Only think I don’t like is the handle length. I need a tote to go over the shoulder.
It’s like an LV Cluny but with extra hassle. Going to give this one a miss. Love the shape, but it’s one I already have in my collection.
Perhaps this will grow on me over time but this just seems like a really boring bag. I love simplicity but I’m missing “design”. A complete pass for me.
I think the bag is okay but I hate the little magnetic buttons on each side. I wish they had them hidden. It would’ve allowed for a more seamless and streamlined look for the bag.
Bag does nothing for me.
Agreed. It’s so annoying that bags that caus thousands can be so impractical.
No like. I feel like I had a plastic one for my Barbie circa 1972.
I like it…
I love the handle design, but I hate the shield logo thingy. It looks out of place.
The mini size is adorable, and the only one I like.
Yep! having to first of all push in the silver metallic button after which you then have to navigate the flap over the handles, sigh! i even have a headache describing it. imagine trying to do this mid walk – almost impossible plus how silly it would look.
The strap seems very short. This type of bag, with the hassle of pushbuttons and covered handle needs a good secure hang on the body to minimize awkwardness of fishing stuff out of the bag on the go.
If not, it’ll just be soooo awkward and strange.
Or maybe it’s just me. Just like some people are born to wear stilletoes (or born with stilletoes?), some people will be able to navigate this type of purse better than me?
As people in the house-hunting show would say “well, it’s really nice, for someone else, not for me.”
i dont like the two huge magnetic things – cheapens the bag!
Meh. While I like the Barbie® pink one, the rest I can take or leave. I’m not a fan of the large silver Diorever, in particular. The texture of the crinkled silver calfskin (?) brings to mind the aluminum or tin foil that covers the inside of windows in sketchy neighborhoods.
