For expensive bags but $30,000 is crazy. The whole “it will last a lifetime” doesn’t make it worth it to buy. You could buys of a nice bags that will last a “lifetime” even so it’s a purse,not a kidney why does it matter if it will last a lifetime?
LOL I totally agree. Perhaps I feel this way because I’m not even a fan of the Birkin or anything Hermes really, but a Chanel bag has the same lifetime allure for so much cheaper.

whats truly Sad is the fact that Hermes never intended for this to happen. an Hermes bag would in fact ! last a life time because as Grace Kelly, or in my case… my grand mother, women would have one very fine summer bag. (toile and barenia Kelly1959),a very Smart bag to go out (chanel 2.55!1982) and very easy travel larger Winter like bag a black or Brown 35cm Kelly(1962). and so a bag would last a life time. im happy to say my grandmother 85 this december still wears all three and has not purchased new bags except for a woven knot beach bag that she thinks is something she did not have before and is very useful. SO AGAIN the extreme we have taken Hermes bags to is simply beyond the true intention of the Brand.
