We’ve seen tons of color during the Fall 2011 shows that at times it has been hard for me to remember that these collections are intended for cold weather instead of warm. And I’m not complaining; the return of color is absolutely my favorite trend of 2011 as a whole and I couldn’t be happier to wear pink and orange instead of camel. But for those of you who, like me, still appreciate a good bit of black and grey in our closets, Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2011 has some handbags that are more than worth a look.
Ferragamo kept with the company’s recent use of vintage-reminiscent shapes and leather to make a collection full of businesslike shoulder bags and sparkly evening bags that will surely be a hit on the red carpet. My favorite pieces were those that used pattern, like the sharp-edged herringbone day clutch, but if you prefer your bags neutral and textured, beautiful exotics and leather treatments also abounded in glossy black.

Love the hound’s tooth clutch. It is too cute!
Love this collection from Ferragamo; it stays true to the house’s tradition of producing lady-like shapes, while incorporating some fun touches like the houndstooth.
I like the animal print clutches. Other than that, I find the handbags to be dated.
Today ferragamo is a very interesting brand for clothes but byt the point of view of accessories is absolutely out!! Oh no these are so boring!

100 % agreed )
Always fab! Really loving the hound’s tooth (in any bag)
Clutches — except for an evening out, I find them useless. They don’t begin to carry my day-to-day needs and holding on to them while shopping is a PITA.
Love the shape of the first 2 clutches!
I love how Farragamo is so simple and beautiful.
Do you remember when Sesame Street used to split their screen four ways and sing “one of these things is not like other…?” Ferragamo 18

I just did a post on Vintage Ferragamo..

Clutches make the world go round! I love animal prints and I love clutches! I just got a new clutch zebra print and love it! I love all of the ones pictured here too!
Very cute and I like almost every one. But – for my uses almost every one is too small or thin.
love so many of these pieces! elegant and beautiful but also so wearable.
Very nice.
Love the clutches traditionally classy with a hint of flair. Way to go
Fall already? It’s still freezing here. I’ll have to add a new clutch from this collection to get me through the rest of winter.
I really love these purses – they’re very ladylike and proper, but still beautiful and with a hint of sexiness. They look very wearable and seems like it can go with any outfit! Although I’m not partial to houndstooth print in general.
Hear, hear on the return of color being the best trend of the fashion year. I like these too, though. I don’t mind neutral here and there so long as it’s no shade of tan.
I love Prada
, The sideways carrying is quirky cool. I like the little bags, especially the red and orange shades.
I love colourful bags as much as they next girl, but I definitely dig nuetral collections like this as well. When my pink purse is waiting to be resold these bags will still be around and still be useable. I always hesitate before buying black bags because I feel like I have so many of them already, but they’re also the ones that get the most use. Plus, texture and vintage styling get me every time.
Top photo, the bag in the middle? Perfection.
A purse allows a lady to mix practicality and stylishness without the need of possessing to compromise on both one. Occasionally a purse is all that a lady desires to finish her outfit.

Sadly, I don’t love any of the bags, even though I usually love Ferragamo! 🙁
