Back when belt bags began popping up here and there, I don’t think I really believed that they would ever actually be a thing again, but here we are. There’s no denying they are here to stay, at least for a little while, as not only have belt bags been a big part of designers’ Spring 2018 collections, but they’ve continued to pop up among many of our favorite bag brands’ lineups for Pre-Fall 2018 as well. I finally caved and jumped on the belt bag bandwagon, and with so many choices, it’s hard to pick a favorite, but this one just might take the cake. Fendi‘s Spring 2018 collection relied heavily on the use of its logo, and my logo love has continued right into Pre-Fall 2018 with the brand’s newest logo bag: The Fendi Logo Belt Bag.

While this bag is far from plain, I love the simplicity of its shape. Clean, simple lines are what make me truly love this belt bag, while the logo print on the flap of the bag and the gold-toned logo with contrasting red leather make the bag stand out. I really like how the bag is not all-over logo, but rather the embossed leather flap contrasts with the black leather body. The thing about belt bags is that whether you like it or not, you’re making a statement by wearing one, and I love that this one says a lot without actually saying too much at all. I don’t think I would love this bag nearly as much if it was all-over logo. To me, Fendi got it just right.
The downside to belt bags is how tiny they are inside, and this one is no different. However, I do like that the interior of this design has card slots, so you can throw in an ID, credit card, and some cash without taking up much space in the interior of the bag, which has very little room to begin with. I then threw in my phone, Mario Badescu lip balm, a YSL lipstick, and a good ol’ role of Tums (can’t leave home without them—true story!), I did still have a bit of room on top of the bag, but if I were using this for a night out, I could get away with just bringing the above items!
Unlike most other belt bags, this bag can also be worn wallet-on-chain style, with the removable gold chain strap. I cannot emphasize enough how great this feature is—there’s really nothing better than a bag that does double duty, especially in this case! If belt bags do eventually become a thing of the past, this bag is still classic enough that it can be worn for years to come using the chain strap. How great is that? The bag has a flap closure with a magnetic button and inside there are two card slots. Overall dimensions are 3.9″L x 6.9″W x 1.5″D, and you can pre-order your own for $1,290 via Fendi.
the way the stitching is done, makes it seem low quality, and it would not wear great over time.
…I like the cactus?
haha my first thought the cactus is prettier!
lol I like the cactus too. I want it. But I like the bag too.
the tilted F logo is just fugly
It really is. I hope they abandon it sooooon!!!!
And that it is red oy vey
I actually like this! Also the thought that went into it being a belt bag and a wallet on chain is great.
I completely agree! My favorite feature of this bag and so different from many of the other belt bags out there right now. I really want this!
Is there more designs that double like this? Love the idea but hate this particular bag… 🙂
The only one I know of is this one by the Australian brand Mimco:

I do like the design overall but one slight thing that bugs me is that the F gold hardware looks like it was squished downed too tightly. Not sure if its intentional or not.
Looking forward for more bag snaps featuring the cactus and that ornate stuff. Kinda tired with the fur shrug-Scandinavian chair combo.
Showing belt bags (fanny picks) a thousand times still won’t hypnotize me into liking them. LOL!
I LOOVE IT…& I do not love belt bags..but this bag is BEAUTIFUL.
I’ve searched and searched and this bag totally rocks! Apprehensive at first because of the size, but it’s perfect as I wouldn’t want it be to bulky or too big around my waist. I love the versatility of wearing it as a crossbody, belt bag, or even doubling the chain and wearing as a shoulder/handbag, as Kaitlin mentioned, not many brands offer this versatility. Super dainty and the pop of red adds much flavor-Definitely a statement piece, dressed up or down!
