Things are changing at the House of Fendi, and the brand debuted the first pieces of this new chapter earlier today at its fall 2021 runway show. Paying homage to Fendi’s key House codes and storied history of femininity and savoir-faire, Kim Jones’ ready-to-wear debut at the iconic Italian design House was nothing short of noteworthy. Looking through the Fendi lens with fresh eyes, Jones was inspired by Silvia Venturini Fendi’s daily uniform, breathing an elevated new life to the powerful Fendi woman. Incredibly chic but wearable at the same time, Jones stated “I’m taking the amazing, strong women who I both know and work with, and listening to their needs. There’s a usefulness to the collection, explored in a chic, timeless way.”

As for the bags, Venturini Fendi herself remains at the helm of Fendi accessories, presenting new shapes alongside refreshed iterations of Fendi’s icons. The Fendi hand in hand project continues this season, enlisting craftspeople from Italy’s 20 regions to reinterpret the iconic Baguette. The Peekaboo is seen as well, reimagined and elongated into new proportions with intricate details.
As for the new shapes, the runway graced us with the Fendi Touch Shoulder Bag, the Fendi Way Tote and the debut of Fendi First, a clutch which features a tilted F monogram in the form of a framed structure. Lush leather silhouettes sit alongside shearling, fur and other exotics, and it’s the details that are so captivating within this collection. And while the bags are incredibly easy on the eyes, it would be remiss of me not to mention that the stunning RTW is the perfect canvas for these carryalls. I see quite some oversized clutches.
Mm these are nice. Not sure about the baguette backpack. The F clutch could be a hit.
I think we’ll be seeing a lot of the F clutch for sure! I LOVE it!
Elegance with attitude. The bags are classic with twists and the total looks…beautiful, glamorous. Love to carry several of these.
I like this collection very much – very luxe with some edge and unique without being ridiculous. One a separate note, I’ve come to realize the camel is a universally unflattering color on everyone. It really sucks the life out of people.
I love camel as a color but I keep it away from my face as it is draining.
Really have to disagree
I disagree as well! Camel is a beautiful, complimentary neutral color. “Drains the life?” ?
haaaa that is so true, and I am suffering with it unless I add a Hermes vibrant shawl
For me, I love that I can wear color and carry beige well. I sometimes add a brooch to my handbags or a vivid scarf and feel pretty fancy!
ooooohhh i *really* like the clutch with the big subtle F top/closure
This collection is the perfect example of luxury + innovation + practicality!!
Bravo Fendi ????????
F clutch is going to replace the botega pouch ????
I love all the iterations of the peekaboo ????????
Yes, I think this F clutch is going to be everywhere!
The whole collection just absolutely SLAPS, period. Not a gnarly one in the mix!
There are so many beautiful bags here, I’m excited for the launch of this collection! I’m especially enamored with the Peek a boo, but I’ve never owned one so I don’t know if they are good bags.
Maybe the Purseblog Crew could do an in-depth review for us? Its a pretty classic bag that has been around for so long and is still showing up in collections so I can’t help but think it might be a goodie. But like you i’m not sure how practical or comfortable they are. Would love to know too. 🙂
I own one in red calfskin and it’s stunning! And the leather is beautiful!
Thank you, it sounds beautiful! I appreciate your input! ?
I’m not as enthused as everyone else by this collection. Some of these bags remind me of Coach and Valentino.
I agree! I like the east / west peek-a-boo but unless im getting its at a steep discount I dont see it in my collection.
LOVE the ‘F’-framed clutches!
This color speaks to me on so many levels! And the textures…oh my goodness…love them! Bringing new light to the color beige…pun intended!
I agree
Love all of them, Fendi never fails!
This collection is amazing! Hope to get the shoulder bag soon!
Fendi is a hit here. With Fendi and me it is a hit and miss, this collection is beautiful just like the collection with large totes and mini baguettes hanging off them, I rearranged some totes and baguettes in that style and it is so handy. These clutches are amazing.
I’m in love with this collection! Fendi is doing classic and trend exceptionally!
Beautiful collection.
“…the ones which resemble fur explosions, gravely concern me……
I like classy clutches, however, for reasons of “economy” of scale…(Little Lucy—->?)
That Fendi F Clutch is gorgeous. And the python version has got me google eyed. What a beautiful and classy collection. Nice to see some sanity in a collection instead of all the weird and crazy we have been seeing lately.
Absolutely stunning. Fendi’s leather good are always the perfect mix of fun and luxury-they’ve really mastered catering to people who like to show off their brands and to people who like to keep it minimalistic, and everyone in between. That snakeskin tote with the FF handle is to die for.
Isn’t it though?! Just beautiful!
yeah, okay, I like these bags, very much!!
This one speaks to me; “Buy Me Now”
Kind of getting tired of the Peekaboo. I like their Kan I’s and Kan You’s much better.
In Kim Jones I trust
I totally agree! I love these new iterations of the Peekaboo and the F Clutch is just exquisite-when you watch the Fendi Hand in Hand video(that they released a while back) you just see all the gorgeous craftsmanship and longtime heritage that goes into the bags. I was just commenting on how beautiful the SS’21 collection bags are-but I am absolutely in love with this collection and it’s what I’m most looking forward to investing in for Fall/WInter. Luxury and innovation is a perfect way to sum it up. Just the epitome of luxury, heritage, and taste, and style. Absolutely timeless. Fendi continues to respect the house codes and the heritage(you see the craftsmanship from the different regions of Italy that were featured in the aforementioned video) and you see what makes this bags so beautiful. I also love the color story of this collection
PS I love the Baguette iterations too! <3
