Yesterday was day 5 of New York Fashion Week, and I can honestly say that as the days progress and Vlad has more bag shots to share, I fall in love with handbags all over again. Seeing a bag in a store is one thing, but seeing it come to life on a person ups the ante completely.
Being almost 8 months pregnant, none of my clothes fit, not even my shoes or rings, but my handbags still fit and it’s one of the reasons I love them so much. A great bag makes an outfit, but it also saves you when you just don’t have the right thing to wear as well. And when you do have the right thing to wear, which is the case for the majority of show-goers of fashion week, the end result is beautiful bags and awesome outfits as we saw yesterday. Check out the best bags Vlad spotted during Day 5 below!
Ah ha, you might be right. It has the whip stitching on the shoulder strap and I bet the tassel and piston lock are turned in towards her body. That’s a gorgeous vintage Gucci.
That limited edition Alma in Pic 4 is a BB, not PM. And the bag carried by the gentleman in Pic 6 is a Sac a Depeches by Hermés. Great photos as always! Fashion week at Purse Blog is always a highlight!
Vlad is one hell of a photographer, these photos are so beautiful! That Bottega Python knot clutch ?. Loving most of the outfits as well. Fashion week would be such a lovely people watching experience.
Where can I get the one in the last photo?
Desperately trying to figure that one out – I feel like we saw it in black on day 4 as well….
It looks vintage. However, didn’t Dolce & Gabbana do some basket bags?
Hopefully you’ll be more successful than I was 😀
#17… that green dress with the oversized croc hobo… my dream in life is to one day be that fabulous.
Who makes that spectacular hobo?
Same, all day.
I think that is a Gucci new Jackie bag from previous seasons

Me too!
My favorite day so far!
Yep, the bags just keep getting better and better!
I really think Fashion Week should be a holiday! Vlad you’re pretty gifted with a camera!
Ha, it is a crazy holiday – I’m gonna see if he has any behind the scenes photos of the madness to share so you can get a look at that too!
He is super gifted, so glad we’re here and he can shoot these images!
Fabulous!
The Celine in #22 is indeed lovely, but it is the stunning Hermes Kelly in the background that steals the shot.

Do you think PB can make a corner in the website to archive these posts?
Great to refer back to.
Ya, would be a really good idea!
What’s the name of the Gucci bag in the cover shot? I don’t see it in the story.
It’s the Sylvie. 🙂
A really cool version of it!
You’re so right, Megs! I’m living for street style photos right now. So much inspiration!
Same! So glad you love them as much as we love sharing them!
I look forward to these photos every year! They are beautifully shot.
I am glad you appreciate my craft!
Amazing!!
