Check Out My PurseBlog Picks on eBay, Featuring Prada, YSL and Fendi

Shop new in season luxury bags at a discount from some of my favorite brands

I’ve been working with eBay for a few months on a project I’ve been excited about: a page of pieces I’ve picked from a trusted eBay seller at great prices. eBay is the world’s destination for handbags with the largest assortment online, with most of handbag lovers either having purchased or sold on the platform at some point. And while small sellers like you and me are an enormous part of the global eBay community, there’s far more to the platform and its handbag selection than simply finding the one that got away from several seasons ago.

Many people don’t realize that there is a large inventory of new luxury items at a discount on eBay, and that category is exactly what I gathered for our picks page. The pieces are current, in-season, and all are priced lower than traditional retailers. eBay offers an excellent bang for your buck when building your wardrobe, and unlike with department stores or boutiques, you don’t need to wait until sale season rolls around after Thanksgiving. Because of eBay’s structure and Buy It Now options, you always decide exactly what you’re willing to pay.

Each item is new with tags and dust bag and the major other aspect is each item is marked down from retail price. Best part is we aren’t talking about old outdated items, these are current season offerings that are classics from Prada, YSL and Fendi. With nearly 130 bags included, this is a well-rounded group with some pieces that stand out a bit more and others that are your day to day classics. Buyers can always shop with confidence since all eBay items come with an eBay Money Back Guarantee – get the item you ordered or your money back.

You can browse the entire event, and below I am including some of my favorite items that I would add to my cart and buy right now.

I’ve read many articles about stolen goods on eBay. “New with tags” could indicate the item was shoplifted or stolen by the retail employee.

I reached out to the eBay team and they said they haven’t heard of the issue with “new with tags” bags. This seller is a trusted seller with long reputable feedback (I did a lot of researching myself) and strong relationships with the brands it sources from.

good to know. Thank you.

Unfortunately, my experiences with eBay and friends who’ve tried using it, have all been fairly negative. I have tried to sell stuff on there ‘within Australia’ only because international seems to attract dodgy buyers. Then I end up getting an international buyer who has somehow found a loophole and manage to buy it. The whole transaction is obviously cancelled, and eBay has to investigate, and I can’t do anything until it’s resolved. Absolutely painful and wastes my time. And then there are a myriad of issues surrounding authentic goods – obviously 😉 I wish it was a better platform for selling things, but I tend to use other sites or consignment stores instead before using eBay.

I think many people can agree that eBay can be overwhelming, but there are steps you can take as a buyer to find a set up that works for you. In this case, no selling – this is just my picks on some really great bags at discounted prices you can purchase!

The fact re: authentication on eBay can’t be ignored. If you buy a bag and upon receipt discover it’s not authentic Ebay mandates the buyer has to prove it’s not authentic. This means contacting a reputable authenticator service, sending them pixs, etc. and then paying for a letter of authenticity, which is not cheap. Once this is all submitted to Ebay they make the discretionary decision re: whose side they will endorse or support. Gratefully, Ebay has sided with me, but it was a very traumatic experience. Lesson learned. Authenticate prior to purchase.

UGH! Though its painful and takes longer, save up and buy in boutique. No doubt there.

Agreed!…or buy from a reputable resale site that does authentication.

i agree one hundred percent, i actually had a friend who worked in a department store who typed me a letter stating the bag was not authentic and then i had to take it up with PayPal and Ebay (circa 2009). The seller was a crook and had authentic pictures of a real bag but sent me fake product. On another occasion i had purchased a three scarves and the seller told me if i dont write a negative review he would refund all the cost and i could keep the product. After these two horrendous experiences i have sworn off Ebay.

I don’t understand where these bags come from? Are they pre-loved?

Molly

One of the Prada bags I’ve been eying is included! Thanks megs!

So, Megs and Vlad, you are compromising your independence and credibility as “neutral” authorities on purses by endorsing a couple of relatively new sellers on Ebay, one of whom doesn’t accept any returns and both of whom do NOT provide adequate photos for proper authentication. IF TPF members presented the scanty pics & descriptions these two sellers provide, the authenticators would tell them to ask for more PICS and more info. You have sold out! The two ebay members are: la_via, a member only since March 2017 and who sells a wide variety of products (including Puma polo shirts!) and has 135 NEGATIVE fbs, and the_luxury_club, an Ebay seller since only June 2017. Really? No thanks!
