If you’re a fan of the Coach Borough Bag, spring is going to be super exciting for you. Coach’s lookbook showed up in our inbox last week, and not only is it full of striped and patchwork takes on the bag, but the Borough now comes in sizes ranging from weekender to micro-mini. The bag’s handles also get translated to a slightly simpler bag, the Coach Town Tote, for those who found the Borough’s many compartments a bit daunting.
The collection’s color palette is couched heavily in white, navy and tan, which will give anything a bit of a nautical feel, including these bags. It’s nautical in a modern, somewhat streamlined way, though, so the finished product isn’t nearly as kitschy as it could be. I actually really like the look of the white with edge paint (but am not a fan of the inevitable and agonizing color transfer that will swiftly ensue).
When I saw these bags at the preview, I was in love! You would have to plan your outfit properly to make it work and not have color transfer, light bags are so hard
but so worth it
The prices are certainly high for the Borough bags.
Yikes, agreed! The biggest one is $1000 for plain brown. That’s…ambitious.

I believe it’s a Micro size: 19cm (L) x 14cm (H) x 6cm (W) and there’s a Micro Mini as well: 15cm (L) x 11cm (H) x 6cm (W).
I can’t find the white ones on their site.
I’d love to see the Edge Paint in other colors – like that Grey and light blue of the last bag (N/S Town Tote). Now that would be gorgeous and very hard to resist!
Do you know if they are planning on doing international shipping one day?
I’m off to the US in the summer and will definitely check the Borough bag in person. I love the new estethics. Coach in Europe has a different appeal. Tory Burch too.
Yellow is NOT my fashion color, it washes me out because of my skin tone, can’t even carry a yellow purse & look good with it.
I would like to check out a small size (larger than mini and smaller than medium)
I was talking to an SA at Coach on Friday and she said a price increase is coming soon so you may want to pre-order if you see something you like that’s not available yet. I’ve pre-ordered the Retro Boarskin color block in white/mandarin. I love the texture. Also what’s nice about this next release of Borough bags is they will have metal feet which the originals don’t have.
