Last fall, ahead of her announcement that she would be stepping down from her post as creative director at Chloé, designer Natacha Ramsay-Levi debuted her final collection for the brand. The collection, titled ‘A Season In Hope’, embraced the designer’s sentiments of a hopeful future following the COVID-19 pandemic. The collection further embraced Ramsay-Levi’s own aesthetic, moving away from Chloé’s iconic shapes and experimenting with new silhouettes. One of the standouts at the show was a lush, leather bag in beautiful bright green with a sculptural gilded motif handle. The Chloé Kiss Bag, one of Ramsay-Levi’s last designs for Chloé, is brand new this spring, and today we’re taking a look at this refreshingly unique silhouette.
The Chloé Kiss line features 3 sizes—the Kiss Small Purse, Kiss Hobo and Kiss Minaudière. What unifies the line is that each shape is streamlined and sleek, defined by curved sculptural hardware. The curved hardware ties back to the entire collection and is a big push for the brand this season, appearing on various accessories, belts and jewelry.
The minaudière is just that, mini, and is a true statement piece, albeit a a very impractical one! It’s crafted of resin and features a delicate crossbody chain as well as a leather lining. There’s not all that much to say about the tiniest member of the Kiss family, other than that it’s quite pretty to look at, and would be a beautiful accessory to carry to a gala if you’re into that sort of thing. Pre-order for $1,250 via Chloé.

As for the two additional shapes, there’s a smaller more structured body as well as a larger and more relaxed hobo bag and both are wearable options in comparison to the minaudière. Both bags bear the intricate Kiss hardware, though on the smaller model it functions as a top handle while on the larger hobo it acts as more of a decorative piece. Both bags are lined in suede calfskin and are crafted from small grain calfskin, but the hobo features details of shiny calfskin as well.
The Kiss Small Purse is meant to be hand carried via the Kiss hardware, but it does also contain hidden loops to connect an adjustable strap for crossbody or shoulder wear. Its more structured body features one internal flat pocket and a hidden magnetic closure on the top to keep your belongings secure. The standout here is the beautiful bright green version, though the bag does also come in neutrals like beige, brown and black. Purchase for $1,490 via Chloé.
Lastly, there’s the hobo, which is the largest in the Kiss family and also the most practical for day to day wear. It features a flap closure that opens to one spacious main compartment with an internal slit pocket. There’s an exaggerated shoulder strap which is adjustable as well. This shape is bit more relaxed, which works well with its larger size. Purchase for $1,750 via Chloé.
Whether the smaller Kiss Purse speaks to you or it’s the larger one for you, this bag is part art, part fashion. It is the final legacy of Ramsay-Levi’s time at Chloé, the end of an era ahead of the start of a new chapter.

A black with Kelly green strap version of the Kiss Hobo was shown on the runway, any idea if it will be available? It was gorgeous!
There was a gorgeous black with Kelly green version of the Kiss hobo shown on the runway, will it be available retail?
I super duper love these!!
These are so cute! I definitely feel like this is what I need to get this spring.
The metal piece reminds me of that of JWAnderson.
It reminds me of Elsa Peretti.
oooooo I like theseeee
Looking at the newest bags from the Chloe show by Mrs.Hearst it seems that the days of Natasha and Claire’s Chloe are over. I’m not too excited about anything I saw so far which is really disappointing. The interesting hardware which was a staple of the house seems to be gone from the newest stuff. :/
I felt the same way when I saw this morning. The bags were hideous and looked like some kids art project.
I agree, they were hideous. However, I wasn’t terribly surprised because one bag she created, Nina, was awful. I didn’t expect much from her, but I also didn’t expect hideous.
Finally! I am so tired of the over designed/loud printed bag trend. It also looks like a more usable version of the GH Nina.
The Kiss small purse is everything! The architectural detail, colors and size is perfection! I wanted the green, but it was sold out, so I bought the dark blue with gold hardware. I’m excited to receive it and hope it looks as beautiful in person.
These are cute, and I have never considered myself a Chloe girl.
