It feels as though it’s been New York Fashion Week for approximately a month and a half, and even though that’s a bit hyperbolic, the event does spill beyond the traditional bounds of a seven-day week to accommodate more shows than any other. That means, of course, that NYFW also has more than its fair share of notable attendees with head-turning bags hanging from their arms.
As we do every fashion week, we’ve pored over event images to zero in on the best bags, and we’ve compiled them, along with their owners (or, let’s be real–sometimes, they’re borrowers) below. It’s easily our favorite way to send another NYFW into that blue yonder.
Aimee Song
Chloé Faye Bag
$1,790 via Saks
Aimee kept more of a low profile at NYFW than she has in recent seasons, but we’re glad paps caught her with this particular Chloé bag; it’s a beauty.
Bella Hadid
Dior Diorama Bag
Bella didn’t surface until the very end of fashion week, despite the fact that her sister has been galavanting about for the entire thing.
Chriselle Lim
Altuzarra Ghianda Mini Saddle Bag
$1,395 via Barneys
We don’t talk about it quite enough, but Altuzarra’s bags are probably my favorite newcomers to the market in the past two years.
Cindy Crawford
Tom For Minaudiere
Shop Tom Ford via Neiman Marcus
Tom Ford, as a brand, considers itself a citizen of the world and shows its collections whenever and wherever Ford feels like. This season, New York.
Courtney Love
Coach Rogue Bag
$995 via Coach
Among my favorite changes that Stuart Vevers has brought to Coach is his interesting choice in celebs for the brand’s newly high-profile shows. Courtney looks great.
Elsa Hosk
Chanel Patchwork Flap Bag
Elsa is just about as dedicated to Chanel bags as a woman who gets tons of free designer goods can be.
Emily Ratajkowski
Miu Miu Dahlia Shoulder Bag
$1,850 via Saks
The funny thing about this photo is Emily was going to an awards show to which some people wore evening gowns.
Emma Roberts
Coach Dinky Bag
$450 via Coach
Emma is another among the varied celeb lineup that supports Stuart Vevers’s reign at Coach.
Emma Roberts
Coach Turnlock Saddle Bag
Shop via Coach
She supports him at night, too.
Eva Chen
Loewe Hammock Bag
$1,990 via Saks
Eva may be more behind-the-scenes at her position at Instagram than she was as an EIC, but her sense of style has clearly not wavered.
Gigi Hadid
Saint Laurent Sac de Jour Bag
$2,990 via Net-a-Porter
Gigi debuted a big collection with Tommy Hilfiger at NYFW, but she stayed loyal to her other designer bags.
Gina Gershon
Tom Ford Minaudiere
Shop Tom Ford via Neiman Marcus
Tom Ford is always a safe bet for an interesting guest list.
Glenda Bailey
Gabriela Hearst Nina Bag
I don’t understand why so many establishment fashion people are into this bag. It is…not attractive?
Hailey Baldwin
Givenchy Antigona Bag
$2,435 via Nordstrom
For some reason, I was surprised to find out that Hailey Baldwin walked in a couple shows during fashion week, but then again, I’m not really sure what I assumed Hailey did for work, if not modeling.
Hannah Bronfman
Chanel Boy Bag
If I had Ms. Bronfman’s abs, you best believe I’d be in a crop top too.
Helena Bordon
Prada Cahier Shoulder Bag
$2,660 via Net-a-Porter
It’s too early to tell how Prada’s new designs will do with consumers, but celebrities and fashion “influencers” seem to be into them. (And so am I, honestly.)
Ji Hye Park
Coach Rogue Bag
$895 via Coach
Coach has long been a quintessentially American brand, but Vevers’s designs have helped it gain a more global following, which includes international celebs.
Jessica Alba
Narciso Rodriguez Clutch
Shop via Shopbop
There’s always one or two actresses who end up all over NYFW in a given season, and for Spring 2017 it was Jessica Alba–she was everywhere.
Jessica Alba
Saint Laurent Sac de Jour Bag
$3,490 via Net-a-Porter
To her credit, she looked great everywhere she went.
Jessica Alba
Tory Burch Multi-Stripe Convertible Bag
$595 via Tory Burch
She was also particularly fond of this new Tory Burch bag all week.
Julia Restoin Roitfeld
Chanel Shoulder Bag
Carine Roitfeld’s daughter usually sticks to Paris Fashion Week, but this season she was surprisingly present in NYC.
Karolina Kurkova
Chanel Flap Bag
Anyone else suddenly craving a little blue velvet bag?
Karreuche Tran
Alexander Wang Roxy Bucket Bag
$595 via Alexander Wang
Alexander Wang always hosts a blowout, and Karreuche sure looks like she’s ready to attend a party.
Leaf Greener
Delvaux Brillant Bag
$5,750 via Barneys
I’m obsessed with the sleeves on this shirt.
Miroslava Duma
Proenza Schouler Hava Top Handle Bag
$1,650 via Proenza Schouler
Miroslava used to be quite the street style swan, but she’s toned it down to something much more relatable and wearable in the past season or two.
Nicky Hilton
Dior Mini Lady Dior Bag
Nicky, on the other hand, becomes ever more ladylike as the seasons pass.
Nicky Hilton
Hermès Kelly Bag
All of her NYFW looks this season were fit for a garden party.
Olivia Palermo
Salar Milano Mini Bag
We’re always happy when fashion week street style is a conduit to finding a new, small bag brand.
Paris Hilton
Moschino Powerpuff Girls Bag
Shop Moschino via Neiman Marcus
Sure, why not.
Priyanka Chopra
Altuzarra Ghianda Chain Strap Shoulder Bag
$2,395 via Barneys
Like I said earlier in this post: Altuzarra’s bags are such a welcome addition to the market.
Qin Li
Tory Burch Mini Bag
Shop via Tory Burch
This dress makes me wish it weren’t about to be cold outside.
Riley Keough
Coach Rogue Bag
Shop via Coach
If I had to deal with paparazzi, this is the face I’d be making all the time.
Sara Sampaio
Chloé Drew Bag
$1,650 via Net-a-Porter
This is just about as no-muss, no-fuss as a fashion week outfit gets.
Serena Williams
Coach Varsity Patch Turnlock Saddle Bag
$495 via Coach
What do Courtney Love and Serena Williams have in common? Coach show attendance!
Susie Bubble
Altuzarra Ghianda Hobo
$2,195 via Barneys
The bag is beautiful, of course, but am I the only one who didn’t know Susie was expecting?
Tavi Gevinson
Proenza Schouler Hava Bag
$1,650 via Proenza Schouler
Tavi has grown up to be such an accomplished young woman and I feel very motherly toward her.
Teyana Taylor
Saint Laurent Sac de Jour Bag
$2,790 via FWRD
I can’t be the only one of us who googled “Teyana Taylor workout” after seeing the Fade video.
Victoria Beckham
Victoria Beckham Bag
Shop via Net-a-Porter
Carrying one’s own bag, as one does.
Zendaya
Chanel Classic Flap Bag
Zendaya was on hand to help host the Project Runway finale show.
Zoë Kravitz
Alexander Wang Roxy Bucket Bag
$595 via Alexander Wang
This is one of the most flawless executions of no-makeup makeup that I’ve ever seen. Bravo.
I can’t believe how much I still love the SDJ. I thought I’d be over it by now (though I wouldn’t want to carry it as extreme as Jessica Alba has done). The Hava is my personal favourite bag of NYFW so far. Great compilation. Such variety. Paris Hilton, lol.
Google is paying 97$ per hour! Work for few hours and have longer with friends & family! !mj384d:
On tuesday I got a great new Land Rover Range Rover from having earned $8752 this last four weeks.. Its the most-financialy rewarding I’ve had.. It sounds unbelievable but you wont forgive yourself if you don’t check it

Chriselle!!!!!!!! I’ve been reading her blog for about 4 years now! Love this woman so much
17 is not Irene Kim but Ji Hye Park.
Some of your pics have improperly identified celebs and bags.
I love that red Delvaux!
But why is the tabby thing so big…it looks like it practically reaches to the top of the bag?
The SDJ is still looking great year after year, season after season.
http://a-woman-of-a-certain-age.com/2016/08/best-bags-for-fall/
I love the red Delvaux too. and the chole faye with Aimee song’s look. I didnt know susie bubble was expecting either, this site is the first i have read that. Also i am disappointed my mirsolava duma’s looks and hair styling, she seems to want to go unnoticed now. loving jessica alba in green bomber look. Great post
Hailey Baldwin is giving serious Nicole Richie early 2000s vibes!
Hahahaha! This is apt!
It’s bad enough that the choker is making a comeback from the 90s but it seems that tops or dresses that looks like slips or lacy camisoles (ex: Hailey Baldwin, Zandaya and Zoe Kravitz) are making a comeback too? No, no, no
It’s great to see Altuzarra out in the wild! But I don’t recognize many of these faces. Are there more “influencers” from the bloggerati at NYFW than other cities?
The Altuzarra in 30 gives me, dare I say, Coach vibes?? The chain/whipstitch/suede combo made me think it was a Coach saddle bag until I read the description!
TBH there wasn’t a ton of celebrity buzz this fashion week in NYC, which is why I think the paps ended up photographing more influencers. A lot of designers switched to presentations versus runway shows and typically the celebs go in a back way and rush in as quick as possible. On the other hand, the influencers/bloggers mostly really want their photo taken – so much more opportunity for that if there isn’t as much competition.
It was nice to see Jessica Alba more than one time in same list because I am great fan of her.
I think you answered your own question (pic 13) Amanda. The key word: establishment.
Sorry crop tops are now, always have been, and always will be, purely tasteless and tacky regardeless of ones physique. Emily is full on tacky as usual. She has zero taste and style period.
Anyones else who stopped at/and laughed/loved at Paris’ Moschino? 😀
