If you’ve been following our celebrity bag coverage the last couple of weeks you won’t be surprised to learn that Elle Fanning was recently spotted out and about carrying another bag. Her bag-drobe has been pretty impressive during her time in Cannes, but her most recent carry takes the cake. Like every other celeb style star staying in Cannes for the film festival, Fanning was seen leaving hotel Martinez, presumably on her way to a fancy A-List only party wearing the most stunning blush monochromatic outfit.
At just 21 years old, Fanning is a style icon in her own right, often donning looks that are well beyond her years. She opts for classic pieces instead of overly trendy looks, and she accented her latest look with a chic Valextra Iside Top Handle Bag. The Valextra Iside bag is incredibly sleek and classic, with structured clean lines and not a logo in sight. Though Valextra is not new to the handbag game, it’s often been spotted on the arms of celebs, until I saw Fanning carrying the Iside Bag in blush pink, I mostly dismissed it as a bag I would want to own. I wonder if I would be able to carry this style and still retain some elegance and style, or if it would look out of place!
I do like the look , of the bag! Some bags without any visible branding (like a logo or something else) just looks plain in a boring, non-exiting nor eye catching way, like any piece of leather, as a logo/symbol sometimes works not only like branding but also like a design element that adds interest to the bag. But this bag look fairly distinct despite it’s “simple” design, which to me adds to the attractiveness of the bag.

It’s funny that you posted this today, I just googled the exakt same bag as I have seen it pop up frequently on the arms of influencers during the past couple of days, searched for it on TPF and Instagram, and then I went in here and you have made a post about it! Haha. I had to double check if I had mistakenly entered an old TPB post from way back when searching for the bag in google, but nope! I thought this was a fun coincidence.
Or it’s an no fun market campaign driven by advertising money. ?

Well in order for me to get one I need to be an influencer and get it for free. Every bag is over $2000. Its pretty and all but Valextra is not calling me at all. So many other bags I would want for over $2000 before this bag.

I have a few. I would say a medium collection. I primarily hang out under the $2000 range. But I hope to one day be in the Chanel range.
I’ve wanted one of these bags since seeing Jane on The Bold Type wear one. Fell in love instantly but the price is OUTRAGEOUS. I’d rather buy a Chanel!
Jane’s bag was actually a Ted Baker Ellice Top Handle which is much more affordable….they just don’t make it anymore. I was also in love with that bag, but I couldn’t bring myself to spend 10x more on a bag with the same look.
She really killed it with her looks at Cannes. Kudos to her stylist.

I’ve got a black mini version. I saved up the money, but my sweet husband surprised me and bought it as a gift! I absolutely love it. This bag, like every other designer bag out there, has gone up in price. I’m not sure I would pay what they’re asking now, not because it’s not a beautiful bag, but because we all have our number. I actually am really wanting theValextra bum bag now, but I’m kind of drooling over the Loewe Nugget in white.
