Jennifer Lopez has not had the time or opportunity to show us her abs in a while…on a related note, how are your New Year’s fitness resolutions working out? I myself am doing a fantastic job of NOT running twice within a seven day period. Most midriffs will definitely be in hiding as colder temps brutalize most of the U.S. this week, but we can always rely on celebs in LA and Miami to remind us what the sun feels like. And to reliably carry great bags! J-Lo, Celine Dion and other aspiring divas are boasting a very strong bag game these days. Take a look.
Jenna Dewan
Paparazzi caught up with Jenna Dewan leaving celeb lunch hot spot Joan’s On Third with a black velvet Coach Parker Bag.
Freida Pinto
Freida Pinto brought this alluring Danse Lente Phoebe Bag to BUILD Series London, where she talked about her new film, Love Sonia. (And yes, BUILD Series has a London studio too!)
Jennifer Lopez
Here’s J-Lo, reminding us that hard abs never die outside a gym in Miami. She’s carrying a bright yellow Hermès Kelly Bag.
Victoria Beckham
Victoria Beckham has been favoring her own Victoria Beckham Eva Clutches as of late. We saw her carrying a python version last week, and she carried this red suede Eva during a recent evening outing in NYC.
Oliva Culpo
Olivia Culpo wore this Fendi Mania Belt Bag to the set of Extra! recently. This may technically be a men’s style, but let’s be real. Fanny packs are for everyone!
Hilary Duff
Hilary Duff also frequented Joan’s On Third with a luxe-looking mystery tote. This is not even the first time she’s carried this tote…but what is it?!
Celine Dion
Here is Ms. Celine Dion, heading into Givenchy’s offices in Paris with a fetching, black patent leather Thom Browne Mrs. Thom Bag.
Nikki Bella
Finally, we have WWE star Nikki Bella, looking elated as she makes her way to dinner in NYC with a Stella McCartney Falabella Tote.
what lol
Same here……????
Agreed! What???
Love Celine Dion’s whole look and especially love that bag!!!
THANK YOU! As much as I enjoy PurseBlog I find it an amateur invention trying to pass itself off as professional. No way. Their knowledge of bags is extremely limited.
If you have something you think we aren’t covering or could do better on, do let us know and be specific so we can look into including!
I’m unfortunate that Purseblog is being so viciously attacked. Many of us enjoy it despite any “errors” made. If you don’t like it then find something else that makes you happy!
The bag in #7 looked interesting so I clicked the link. The PRICES! Ouch!
I’m not sure you can criticize when you write “I always do a perfect work at my job all the time….” You are right this blog is about handbags and “it’s not serious”, but you work with patients? They should be concerned.
This person is ridiculous.
Well, it’s not my fault that you are such a poor writer. If you don’t like the blog, despite some errors, then find something else that meets your “Dr.” standards. BTW…are your really a Dr.??? Hmmm….
As a fellow healthcare professional I think it’s important to point out that we acknowledge that people are also human. Errors happen despite our best attempts to provide perfect work. Please be kind to the writers.
A few things I wanted to address: I’ve always welcomed all comments and typically if I see someone asking a question of having issues with what we’ve posted or mistakes we’ve made, I respond. Since you’ve read here for so long I hope you do know that and know how much I appreciate all of our readers and commenters. I find no problem with anyone who wants to share negative feedback with us – for any reason, but especially if we are falling short, I want to know that so we can rectify the issues and do better as a team.
Of course we make mistakes. I suppose in your example above the reason it’s easier to make a mistake in this job than in yours is because I know someone’s life isn’t on the line. If I feel pretty sure about a bag I identify or a sentence structure I use, I may not triple check it then double check again because the result of a misidentified bag is far less impactful than that of giving a patient the wrong medication.
That being said, of course we should do the best we can to identify every bag properly, use proper punctuation, spelling and grammar, and overall provide the best content we can to you all.
I shared this above but we are a small team – and a small team that right now is tiny because I just had a baby and have been pretty diligent about taking time off to be with our baby. And Vlad has too. So there goes 2 people of an already small team.
We will continue to work to provide you with the best content we can, and when we make mistakes or there are areas we can improve upon, please do let us know!
I’m glad for your input. Since you and Amanda have moved on or aside, the expectations, ridicule and criticism has been harsh, constant and IMO, over the top. As a blog for material things, NOT health, medical cures, spirituality or even GOVERNMENT, the reader response appears snide and mean girl/boy. Comparing the writing and research to a medical profession is off base on so many levels but it’s not the first unnecessary post and maybe not the last. I enjoy the posts, reviews and comments but not the snarky commentary. I suppose social media is to blame and perhaps some readers are leaning on their FB & Twitter personalities when spewing frustration. It goes without saying however, I will. You and Vlad and the staff perform an enjoyable and informative service not to be taken as life and death. I say carry on PB staff & the naysayers, “Try to have a nice day!”
We appreciate your feedback and will do our best to maintain the quality of content you’ve come to expect from us over the years.
the purse blog is a blog. You don’t have to follow if you don’t like. I love this website, the stories, and purse reviews of new bags. I love when people come here and they know so much more about purses, why are they here?
I like Celine’s look and the bag is gangster..all except for the sunglasses.
That shape makes her face look insect like. Kind of creepy.
Just saying..
You hit it on the nose with those sunnies–she looks a little like a praying mantis!
JNo
I love this blog as its the first website I check in with every morning. I feel it’s well designed and has an informality which makes me feel so welcome. I guess they could pay people a ton of money to properly identify bags, but honestly I love it when they ask the readers if they can identify a bag and the readers are like detectives and come up with the name. I want to be one of those readers! Keep up the good work Purseblog!
Thank you Lori! Long ago we had a category called “Name that Bag” where I would ask readers to identify a bag that I didn’t always know. I still can’t identify every single bag, sometimes because of the image and other times because I actually don’t know! Glad to have so many readers so well versed in the bag world 🙂
Agreed! It’s fun and creative. I certainly enjoy it!
Haha YES, and I hate it when I go “Ooooo, I know that one!!!!!!!!” and then someone has already commented which bag it is! ? …
I love purseblog too. Such a great blog.
We appreciate supporters like you! Thank you!
I agree. It’s lacking. Has been. Posting outdated news. Simple mistakes on posts. Being unable to identify bags that are easily identifiable or have been blogged about. It’s frustrating when it’s THEIR JOB. If it was just a simple little blog starting out and was a “hobby” on the side. Sure. But it’s not. I get the whole “it’s not that serious” thing but like when you can’t properly form sentences, mistake different materials, etc… It’s more than just about a purse. It’s about having proper skills to write and …. identify materials???? Take two more minutes to proofread before you hit publish???
In the scheme of life, a site about handbags is not nearly as important as other jobs or just life in general, but we do take the site very seriously and aim to do our best for you all. Our goal is to provide great and new content to our readers. We work to bring the latest in the handbag world.
In our defense, we are a small team and I’ve been on maternity leave since having a baby a few weeks ago. Maternity leave in a small company is nearly impossible but I’ve really tried hard to take the time to soak in every moment with our son, and when the two of the team members (Vlad and I) aren’t working, it means a ton of work falls on a smaller number of people. That on top of recent changes of not having Amanda with us (whom we all miss terribly!), means there have been a lot of shifting here in a small period of time. I suppose this comes off as an excuse, but I see this as an important aspect to share. I always try to be transparent with our readers.
We can do better and we always strive to do better. I appreciate you coming to share your thoughts and pointing out when we are making mistakes or something is lacking.
Nope. That’s a genuine reason. If these things were happening because you weren’t there to oversee things, I understand now a lot more. Wishing you and your family blessings in the New Year. Thanks for your response XX
I had our son on January 3rd! (Post coming shortly, I am re-reading it because I am sure I have some grammatical errors haha!). So I’ve been taking the time to be with him and Vlad has too. That makes our small team tiny, and there is only so much our team members can do when they have to take on multiple other jobs and keep everything running!
I am trying to get back to work slowly, hoping this baby starts napping/sleeping a bit better so I can!
That’s Brie Bella not Nikki
Many of us come to this site to covet bags we may never be able to afford, learn about up and coming brands, and stay current on trends. I enjoy reading the comments until they turn negative. If you feel like this site is not meeting your standards, find somewhere else. But generally spreading negativity on something minor in the scheme of life speaks more of you and not the contributors to this site. Keep up the good work Purse Blog! If you are ever looking for more content…I do miss your Real Housewives recaps:)
Amanda’s Real Housewives recaps were some of my favorite ever – sure do miss them and her!
Thanks for the kind words! I think we typically have really positive commenters and sometimes we make mistakes and commenters let us know, and sometimes we have some commenters who find fault a bit more. I welcome all comments (as long as they aren’t bullying other commenters, calling names, cursing) – always have and will!
JLo’s leggings are side-eye-ing her prominent camel toe oy vey
Even the wild pattern doesn’t minimize. Honestly, it would seem she is such a perfectionist as to not do this UNLESS this is some provocateur sexy classy thing you now do in public like cleavage that I missed the memo on? Miley was 24/7 on the ‘trend’ but that was Miley. This is JLo. It’s hard to miss. Surely not a mistake.
“I gUeSs We CaN’t ExPeCt MoRe FrOm SoMeOnE wHo CoFuSeS pYtHoN wItH cRoCoDiLe.”
OMG, Jennifer Lopez! Who has abs like that at the age of 50!! Or at any age, for that matter… My new inspiration.
Hillary’s bag looks like a Givenchy.
Oh… well, the comments I’ve seen today on this page aren’t so kind. One way, I can understand about short of staff and that the staff that’s left are new, therefore, not as knowledgeable, but I agree on the part that they must do their homework better. I know Amanda is hard to replaced, but I guess they’ll have to step up.
I’ll like Hilary’s tote, too.
Hillary Duff is carrying a Givenchey bag!!! Duh!!! come on purse blog…. you need to be able to identify these bags!!! you are getting LAZY!!!!!!!!!!!
