Celebs Make Their Way to Paris with Louis Vuitton

And Men's Fashion Week equal more man bags!

How about a quick getaway to Paris? We’d all love one, I’m sure, but many celebs are actually making the trek to France this week to take part in Men’s Fashion Week (the lucky ducks). We look forward to seeing what they bring to the front row. So far, it’s exclusively Louis Vuitton! But that checks out. There’s a fair amount of Louis Vuitton on our fair shores as well, with a little Gucci, Celine and Chanel sprinkled in for good measure. Let’s take a look!

Jillian Michaels

Jillian Michaels looks bizarrely happy to be caught heading into Buzzfeed in New York City with this Gucci Backpack. I have no idea what she’s actually trying to promote though, because all she’s making headlines for is speaking ill of Lizzo.

Tyga

Rapper Tyga brought this Monogramouflage piece from the Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami collab to Paris for Men’s Fashion Week.

Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber brought this distinctive Gucci Backpack to his gym in Beverly Hills. Several major labels do their spin on what I call the “faux backpacker” backpack.

Bella Hadid

Bella Hadid is also in Paris this week! She’s seen here carrying a Louis Vuitton Multi Pochette Accessoires while out to dinner with friends.

Bresha Webb

Actress Bresha Webb was spotted arriving at her Midtown hotel in NYC with a Celine Luggage Tote. She’s making the press rounds to talk about her new film, A Fall From Grace.

She didn’t “speak I’ll” of Lizzo. She merely, correctly, pointed out that obesity is not healthy. Don’t label people stating true statements as having ill intent. It is gross.

Nan

She admitted that she should not have used Lizzo “as an example because she didn’t ask for it”. That was her mistake for which she took full responsibility.

Traveldoc52

This is the usual cancel culture mandatory apology and changes nothing about my original assertion. Lizzo just doesn’t happen to be obese. Her schtick is fat acceptance. A differing opinion is not “speaking ill” of someone and doesn’t require an apology.

Nan

Yes, she wasn’t “required” to apologize, but she did. There is an influx of female models, in their lingerie or bathing suits, promoting acceptance of their obesity. Like anything, it doesn’t mean that the public has to accept it. Currently, they may not be experiencing health issues, but they will if they don’t make changes. However, no-one makes changes until they are ready and a few examples are Jennifer Hudson and Rebel Wilson, but there are obviously more.

SeeJay

True. I feel like Jillian was placed in a position to comment on Lizzo when Lizzo wasn’t the topic of conversation. I love Lizzo’s energy and her music but I also believe eventually she will want to make changes for herself. In the meantime, it will be literally impossible to “shame” society into celebrating her size as a whole. Jillian was tricked into commenting on Lizzo and as a health professional, it seemed she had little choice but to give her honest opinion. Do we want health professionals to be honest or pretend?

SeeJay

Totally agree. I’m so sick of ppl having to apologize for being frank. Julian was in a convo interview and the interviewer asked her opinion about Lizzo. For f**** sake, the woman is a personal trainer. She isn’t here to celebrate obesity. Lizzo IS fat and for all of the ppl who celebrate her, I’d bet money that NO ONE wants to be her size. Period.

Patricia

It’s absolutely unprofessional to speak about someone who you do not know or treat. I have friends who are Lizzo’s size who do not have diabetes or cholesterol problems. I’m skinny and I do. It’s a hereditary factor I try to control with healthy diet and exercise. The reason true professionals speak generally about these topics is because every “fat” person you see is not unhealthy, just like every “skinny” person you see is not healthy. What Jillian did was extremely dangerous and perpetuated a stigma. She was right to apologize

Traveldoc52

No, obesity is unhealthy-full stop.
This is like stating a smoker is healthy when the stigmata from smoking isn’t obvious yet.
