Is that really Nene? Her entire outfit along with the bag is terrible.

Divadeluxnyc

Priyanka always looks like she’s out with her son

Lola

She definitely looks years older than him. ?

Olivia Isaksson

Well isn’t she? The odd thing would be if she didn’t.

Lola

She is, and 10 years older. What I meant was that, to me, she looks more than 10 years older. I should have clarified myself and thank you for bringing this to my attention!

Kate

I don’t think she looks older than her age. She looks 39, 40 to me. He just looks much younger than his actual age, so they always seem like a kid hanging out with his cool aunt. But if they’re happy, good for them.

Sheinash

I’d guess 39-49 on her too, 20-21 on him… 🙂

Arch

I think the fendi bag is the large fendi runway shopper with a rattan handle

Mona

A quick google search reveals that you are correct. If I consistently made errors in my employment I would be out of a job. I read this blog looking for answers re: bags and don’t feel I should be required to research the topic to ensure that the information presented is accurate. It gives the appearance of a lack of professionalism.

Megs Mahoney Dusil

I totally agree with you, and I’m sorry for this frustration. This shouldn’t be happening and you hit the nail on the head: we should provide you with the answers. Of course, we will miss some identifications, or have grammar/spelling errors from time to time, but we are working on a process to streamline this better going forward.

Now, I always say, many of our readers and forum members are the most knowledgable people I’ve ever met and talked to when it comes to bags! In fact, they know more than many sales associates.

We are all in this together, but there are for sure errors we make and bag IDs we miss that we could be avoided!

David Cardillo

Megs,
Li’l; Lucy and I look forward to your reviews. Usually fraught with style and humor….? (We bagged this little poodle as a rescue hound…! Imagine that!)

Mona

I feel that I sounded harsh and that wasn’t my intent. I was rightly critiqued by others, as you can see from below, and that made me realize that I could have expressed my opinions more appropriately. I enjoy this blog and appreciate that you provide this service to the public. This blog assists me to determine what bags, etc. work best for me based on the articles and the feedback from your readers.

For instance, I was interested in purchasing a tote, but could not find one that I liked. When you posted the Dior Phoenix tote I fell in love and immediately purchased it on the Dior site. I recently received it and it is stunning! I went back online to find a scarf and saw that the Phoenix tote is “coming soon”. I contacted my local Dior boutique and they said it “hasn’t been shipped yet and they aren’t even receiving it”. I have no idea how I received it when it hasn’t yet been released to the public, but I wouldn’t have found it if I had not read Purseblog. I’ll continue to read the blog, but be more mindful of my words. Thank you for your feedback and understanding!

Jettsam

Then don’t read this blog. It’s a free blog you act like you are paying for it and are owed something.

Jaime G

But if you own and operate your own business who is going to fire them? ABC News, CNN, and many online sources have grammatical errors on the regular too.

Mona

I’m not speaking about grammatical errors, although that is important to consider, too. I’m speaking of providing misinformation to the public on a subject that the writer should be better informed. No-one can possibly have all the answers, but in every line of work it is important to research the answer prior to responding. In my work I need to be accurate because my answers will detrimentally affect the livelihood of the elderly, that I serve. Since there are so many different situations and circumstances, re: my clients, I don’t have all of the answers; however, I am guided by my research and my Supervisor prior to answering their questions. No-one has an issue with honestly when I tell them that “I don’t have the answer, but I will find out and get back with them”. In the community that I serve my clientele require and appreciate accurate information.

iMO while this blog is not life or death it’s still important to provide accurate information. It may/may not be important to you and other’s, but I appreciate an informed writer.

Jettsam

Then don’t read this blog if it’s not up to your standards! Stop complaining! I love what they offer – a lot of work goes into this and I get to read it for free. A mistake here and there that gets corrected by readers or writers is not a big deal. My god.

Mona

You addressed me twice about this issue and I appreciate your feedback. I also appreciate quality work and I know that Purseblog works very hard on providing a free service to the community. I also love what they do and feel they do incredible work; however, at times there are errors and in the past when mistakes occurred Megs addressed them. I’ve read this blog for a long time and greatly enjoy it, but knowing that they hold themselves to a higher standard, and when I find blatant errors, I inform them and attempt to provide constructive criticism. If I came across as offensive or rude, please accept my apologies as that was not my intent.

Overall, I believe that this blog is greatly influential in bringing to the forefront handbags from all design houses. I’m influenced to purchase because their articles are informational and the photographs are outstanding. When they discuss the pros and cons of handbags it assists me to purchase if I’m on the fence about a particular bag. With all that said I hope they continue to provide their free service to the public because I enjoy it as well. Again, thank you for bringing this to my attention and helping me understand another perspective, as well. I’ll try to be more mindful in the future because I don’t want to come across as offensive to anyone. ?

Jaime Gray

Can I ask why you continue to follow if their professionalism bothers you? To put it into perspective this is about purses. Not life or death at all. Truly nothing from this site is going to save the world (well except the article about counterfeit purses and terrorism). It just surprises me that someone can actually find a complaint about a purse website.

Mona

Of course! Their “professionalism” at times is lacking. Anyone who writes for a living should do their due diligence which includes researching a topic prior to publication. Writing about bags, or any subject, requires a certain knowledge and skill level that should be expected from any professional. To do so leads to credibility. If someone is performing a job shouldn’t they be expected to perform to their best ability? Sometimes, but not always they fall short.

Also, I wrote that “this blog is not life or death” so we agree. And you ask “why do I continue to follow…”? I read this blog because I LOVE handbags as presumably everyone that reads it. I appreciate the subject matter, but the errors can be improved, IMO. It’s always interesting to explore others point of view so thank you for your questions, I appreciate the opportunity to clarify myself. Enjoy your day! ?

Lisa

What in the hell is Nene Leakes wearing? It looks like a yarn monstrosity! Also, IMO women over a certain age do not look good in torn knee jeans; it just makes them look ridiculous. However, I love her Fendi tote!?

Jerri R

I thought she stopped at Home Depot and bought several new mop heads

Sparky

no one looks good in torn jeans – period

Confused

It’s a ceremonial button blanket from/”inspired” by one of the tribes along the pacific northwest coast. Never thought I’d see one on a celebrity, let alone on Nene of all people. It’s a really odd choice for anyone not from those tribes, or for anyone from those tribes to just be wearing out in the world like that.

http://www.rubberbootsandelfshoes.com/2013/05/button-blankets-first-nations-tradition.html

Lisa

Thank you for leading me to this article! It was helpful and informational! I agree now that it is a really odd choice for anyone, not associated or related to the tribes, to wear. The blanket itself is beautiful, but the overabundance of fringe is what made me think “wow”! ?

Jaime G

What’s that age category that can wear torn jeans. I’m over 40 and wear them but have been complimented never a look of disdain…IMO 🙂

Lisa

The age can be nebulous and there isn’t a specific number. When it’s time to stop wearing them it seems to be more obvious to others, but perhaps not to the person wearing them. If you are familiar with the mini skirt era it’s similar to that. I wore them, but eventually stopped despite their continued popularity. I was still young and model thin, but just knew that it was time.

JHH

Wow, I did not recognize Nene but then again I have not seen a picture of her in years. Her outfit is awful except for the bag. Greta, neck down, looks like a 50ish year old boss. I’m in my 50s so this not meant to be an insult. Priyanka’s bag is the only thing worth saving from that look.

Lolly

I have to confess, when I see people holding their bags like Nicky Hilton is (above) I automatically think they were give the bag and paid to be seen out and about with it. I know many are, and I wish it weren’t like this – I wish we could follow people’s real style.

Sparky

Agreed.

butterbox

Love NeNe Leaks and her ginormous Fendi bag.

Jerri R

Priyanka has reached rock bottom of desperation with that ridiculous dress oy vey

Nene’s Fendi tote looks perfect for a carry-on bag!
