Hey, BB (burgundy bag). I can’t get you out of my head. From spotting your kind on virtually every online shopping forum, to checking you out in person at places like Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus, it’s clear you’ve gained momentum in the past few months and I want you to know I’m here for it.
Seriously, though, it feels as if this color has popped up everywhere! Not only that, it’s a pretty interesting time for burgundy to make waves, considering it feels more wintery than spring and summer. But hey, I’m not complaining.
I treat burgundy like a neutral, which is why I believe having a wine-colored purse is almost as important as an LBB (little black bag). Plus, what pairs better with a happy hour glass of Merlot than one of these chic burgundy bags? (Answer: Nothing.)
Have you noticed a rise in burgundy bags? Whether or not you’re in the market for a new addition to your collection, do any of the below catch your attention? As always, I’m eyeing the Fendi. The Givenchy is pretty interesting too, considering it offers multiple ways to wear it. Also loving the Chloé and the Marni. Ugh, if only I had an unlimited amount of money in my bag fund.
Pleeease make a post about Simon Miller bags! <3
I’m surprised to see a post on burgundy bags with summer around the corner. Is that a summer trend?
Why not? Americans seems weirdly restricted when it comes to wearing different colors depending on what season they are currently in.. 😀 I have never heard anyone in Europe restrict themselves in the way I have seen many Americans do. Just let loose a little, it makes fashion a lot more fun! 😀
Your opinion about “Americans” is grossly exaggerated since I’m sure that you don’t speak for the majority. As for me I wear whatever color whatever season. I have no restrictions or arbitrary fashion rules that I feel I need to follow. However, I’m curious where in Europe you reside? I’ve been to London and France and my senses were dulled by all of the black and white attire men and women wore. Then, on top of that I’ve never seen so many women, anywhere, carry so many random cotton or polyester bags to keep their stuff in. I rarely saw any nice or even high end bags unless I was shopping at Chanel or Harrod’s. So, if European’s don’t “restrict themselves” please clarify what you mean because I’ve traveled extensively and cannot back up your story.
Agreed. It’s like the weird “no white after Labor Day” BS.
It’s color association. Warm weather calls for fresh colors and textures. Americans are not uptight about fashion. That’s rude.
Agreed, and it is rude!
Nice for fall but I agree not for summer, trend or not.
That McQueen bag is gorgeous. I love Alexander McQueen bags. They’re so underrated.
Maybe it’s me, but that Balenciaga looks like it is from the Macy’s Sale handbag pile.
To me it looks like a cheap fake
