The Best Suede Bags for Fall 2020

Suede shades of brown, does it get more quintessentially autumn than that?

While suede is admittedly a tricky material to care for, it’s easy to argue that it’s also quite stunning, and when I think of a bag that screams fall, I think of a suede one. In fact, I think of a tan or brown, soft suede bag. Now that we’re halfway through October fall is fully in session, and with that comes Halloween, Thanksgiving and a whole lot of beautiful autumnal colors. Here in the city, the leaves haven’t reached anything close to peak yet, but they have finally began to change a little bit. The park near my apartment in lower Manhattan is full of beautiful yellow leaves that will soon turn to brown and the autumn breeze is just the perfect temperature—not too hot and not too cold. There’s truly no better feeling than fall in New York City, so I’ve rounded up my favorite suede bags for this season in the hopes that you can experience that quintessential fall felling no matter where you are!

First, thank you for providing such a range of brands and bags in this post, although I have to admit the Fendi Baguette was my favorite, perhaps a tie with the Tom Ford shoulder bag (vaguely reminiscent of a Tod’s bag). I like suede bags but hesitate to order them online because, in my experience, it’s important to see and feel the suede in person. Some suede is fabulous, others feel rough and cheap, even in a more expensive brand. Also the color in the photos doesn’t always match up to the color you get.

The Off white is my favorite, followed by TB’s Lee. I generally don’t care for suede bags. The material soon looks grungy.
