Your Nails Have to Make the Fall Transition Too, You Know

There’s been some noticeable crispness in the morning air lately, and now that the calendar has turned to August, we can no longer avoid the fact that fall is coming at us. While it’s too warm during the days for fall clothes, there are little ways that you can start your seasonal transition without producing any excess sweat; one of the best is with a new nail polish.

Below, we’ve selected a number of shades that are still colorful enough to be summer-appropriate but dark enough to feel like the first element of your personal, sartorial transition into the coming season. Almost any color is appropriate for this time of year; the key is finding just the right shade.

I don’t know about anyone else but I have a hard time spending over $10 for a nailpolish. I would rather spend the money on handbags or other things. I wish you had included some budget friendly nail polish in there. Essie and revlon make some great fall transition colors.

I can totally identify with Jillian’s point. It’s a very good one. I would just add that this past season instead of buying a couple of less expensive polishes, I changed my strategy and splurged on 2 really high-end ones, which I wore almost exclusively. And I loved them because they really were high quality and gorgeous. It depends on your budget, as well as your preferences (mix it up with lots of colors so you spend less per bottle, or splurge on just a couple).

I change my polish every week (5 days on, two off) so I don’t really need a long lasting nail polish. I try to find polish on deep discount or buy from TJ Maxx. Sometimes, the high end polished don’t work that much better than my .99 cent polishes. I’d rather buy a high-end lipstick. With that being said, I am loving that Jin Soon color, but I’ll probably just buy that Estee Lauder lipstick that I’ve been lusting after.
