While we give our handbags plenty of attention, our trusty wallets that live inside them often go forgotten. That’s why we’re dedicating an entire day to the one thing that keeps our beloved credit cards …
Buying a bag for someone can be a bit difficult; although purses don’t have to “fit,” in the traditional sense of the word, most women have very specific preferences and picadillos about how their bags will be filled and carried.
Some people harbor those same preferences when it comes to wallets, but since they’re not something that has to hang on your arm all day, every day, some sort of money-holder is probably a safer gift. If you’ve still got someone on your list, perhaps consider the Marc by Marc Jacobs Saddlery Continental Wallet. (more…)
I always talk about how a great zip wallet could function perfectly well as a clutch, but it’s rare that a clutch functions as a wallet. In the case of this See by Chloe Chantilly Leather Tassel Zip Wallet, I was completely mistaken and thought I was looking at a clutch before I read the name of the wallet.
Like most of the recent See by Chloe creations, the leather looks lusciously soft (and rather curiously padded, but let’s not dwell on that). The ivory color goes particularly nicely with the light gold accents, giving the clutch a luxurious feel. (more…)
We talked last week about the success of Poppy, Coach‘s super-girly line aimed at younger women whose tastes are slightly more, uh, boisterous than those of their traditional customers. It’s been a big success for the brand, which often is a gateway for teens into the world of designer accessories.
That doesn’t mean that Coach has forgotten its core customers, however. Bags like the Coach Kristen Woven Leather Clutch remind us all that just because a brand makes bags for teenagers or the logo-obsessed doesn’t also mean that they are incapable of making bags for sophisticated, stylish women – that’s exactly what this clutch is. When it comes to happy, summery bags, I immediately think of Kate Spade. Growing up in the South in a city where Lilly Pulitzer abounds, the Kate Spade brights would always come out when the weather warmed up. Without fail, something like this Kate Spade Jane Street Neda Calfskin Wallet would be paired with a bright little cardi and a Pulitzer dress.
It’s not my style at all. You see, I’d pair the wallet with something much different than this particular Southern preppy style, like with something quirky and bohemian for a nice contrast. However, that just shows how versatile this little wallet it. (more…)
So, tell me something, do you own as many wallets as you do handbags? Well, perhaps you won’t own just as many, but are you someone who switches up your wallets just as much as you switch up your handbags? Sadly, I am not. I tend to have one or two wallets that I work with and rotate in and out of my favorite bags. However, I do find myself coming across more and more wallets that make me want to change my previous practice. (more…)
So, you may or may not know that I’ve been on an ongoing search for the perfect wallet. Megs rocks a great Louis Vuitton Zip Wallet that I’ve had my eye on for some time, but I haven’t gone out and bought something similar quite yet. I can see myself adding that wallet to my collection at some point, but I feel like I’ve been holding out for something else. And you know what? This Linea Pelle Alex Corset Wallet might just be what I’ve been holding out for. (more…)
There’s a reason I was never the fan of the massively studded bag trend. Those stylish, seemingly innocent studs can be sharp. Sharp in the way that makes you wince a little bit if you have to grab on to a heavy clutch covered with the things. I’m speaking from experience, folks.
But that same reason is why I absolutely adore, not abhor, little clutches covered with conical studs, like this Be&D Studded Zip Around Clutch Wallet. I know, I know, the studs are still like pyramids, but they aren’t sharp. The dull end, my friends, is what matters to the hand. (more…)
I’ve been loving zip-around wallets every since Megs bought my mom a Fendi one and later got herself a Louis Vuitton. I love how these kind of wallets practically double as a clutch. With cell phones being so tiny and skinny these days, there’s a good chance that you can even zip your cell into the wallet as well. I love seeing yet another option for this great style of wallet.
