I am constantly looking for a great black clutch. I am sure you are all too familiar with my absolute adoration for clutches. However, when I was looking in my closet over the weekend, I realized sadly enough, that I don’t have a good black clutch.

Of course my next thought was, do I need a fancy one or more of a casual one? Well, clearly the answer is I need both, but I think I’ll get more use out of a casual black clutch than a fancy one right now. Ask me again around the Holiday season and you are sure to get a different answer. So, going with the casual idea, I want to make sure it is fun and not boring. (more…)

I love a great big slouchy bag that I can throw over my shoulder and run out the door with. As much as I love to dress up and look all fancy, I am admittedly more of a casual chic kind of gal. This being said, you can probably imagine that my go-to outfit consists of great jeans, a fab t-shirt and sandals. I even have a couple casual yet gorgeous dresses that offer that bohemian look I tend to lean towards. I can’t think of a better bag to fit my needs than the Tylie Malibu Nomad Crackle. (more…)

Tylie Malibu StoreHere at Purse Blog, we love to shop. I speak for all of us when I say we love shopping both in stores and online.

Another great gem is when we come across smaller boutiques or design houses that might even be a bit more regional than national or international. Now, for those of you who frequent the Purse Forum you may have read about Malibu, California store Tylie Malibu.

This is the kind of store that doesn’t bring in outside designs, instead they house their own. Every item in the store captures the essence of LA. The combination of casual and glamour is noticeable and welcome. Gorgeous materials and great attention to detail can be noticed as you peruse the collection. (more…)

I don’t think I’ve ever written about a Tylie Malibu bag before, but when their designers are making bags as cool as the Tylie Malibu Rose Studded Shoulder Bag, how could I resist the opportunity? We know by now that studs and other industrial details are a huge trend for fall, and when so many other designers are flooding the market with similar bags, it’s surely difficult to make your studs stand out among the others. Yet somehow, this one does. And in a really good way.

Tylie Malibu Rose Studded Shoulder Bag

Part of my attraction to it is because of the big mass of studs right in the middle. The only other designer we’ve seen do studs in such a bold way is Alexander Wang, and while this is certainly not an It Bag of that caliber, it’s probably a bag that could be implemented into more different types of looks. I particularly like that the studs are gunmetal instead of bright silver or gold – it’s simultaneously more industrial and more sophisticated than the alternatives. On closeup, the leather looks great and the bag looks very functional, so I can’t help but wonder if there’s a way for me to come up with 500 extra dollars. Buy through Neiman Marcus for $495.
