It got really, genuinely warm in NYC for the first time this year over the weekend, and naturally, that got my yearning for a trip to a body of water. I grew up in the …

In the US, Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer and all the beachside fun that comes with the season. The PurseBlog team is going to take most of today to relax and enjoy the advent of season vacation season, but if you’re stuck indoors and want some bags to consider, take a look at these three reasonably priced, sun-ready straw totes: The Mar Y Sol Panama Striped Tote, Club Monaco Tall Straw Tote and Elliot Man 24/7 Tote. I don’t mean to throw a little temper tantrum, but THIS IS SO UNFAIR.

It was 40 degrees, windy and rainy outside yesterday, and the Mar Y Sol Gigi Flower Clutch is making me dream of summer. No matter how much I despise humidity and being hot in every way (unfortunate, since I live in the South), this straw clutch needs a sundress and a frosty cocktail in order to do it justice. I guess I’ll just have to deal with the hot weather. (more…)
