I promise, I am not trying to brag, but I have an amazing trip ahead of me this week. I am heading to Hawaii at the end of the week. I’ve been a couple times before, but this time I am going to Maui, an island I’ve yet to visit. So, as you might imagine I am scrambling to do a little bit of last minute shopping and prep work for the trip. With all of this shopping and packing comes the need for some great, fun and fresh handbags. (more…)
Piperlime is a great site for savvy price worthy handbags. There is so much to choose from and you are bound to find something that won’t make your wallet and/or bank account cry.
At the same time, the site also offers picks from superstar stylist Rachel Zoe. I love checking out her picks for handbags and beyond. However, I am not sure I am with her on this pick, are you? (more…)
I love options and I especially love options when it comes to handbags. This is nothing new.
Of course there are some styles of handbags that don’t leave much room for options, but then there are others where there is just so much that can be done. Case in point, this Lucky Brand Abbey Road handbag. (more…)
Help me out here, what do you think about drawstring handbags? Although this isn’t the first time you are reading that I am on the fence about something, but I really don’t know here. I’ve never owned a drawstring handbag in fear that the drawstring feature will do nothing but get on my nerves. Yet, when I came across the Lucky Brand Tulip Leather Drawstring Satchel I had to stop and think twice. I find myself leaning towards liking this handbag. I think more than anything, it is the deep, rich color of the leather. The shape, color and size of the bag all work well together. It seems to be a great choice for a day to day bag. But for those of you who have owned a drawstring bag, do you like it or did you grow to hate it? This particular bag looks sturdy enough to last for several seasons of wear and tear. Buy through Zappos for $177.95.
Does this bag make you think of Austin Powers or what? Well, I guess what the bag reminds you of also depends on when you grew up. The Lucky Brand Liquid Light Show Tote certainly has a hippie vibe going on, but I have to say, I kind of like it. There are times when this sort of design is way too much to take in, but I think more than anything, the bag is rather fun. Clearly the bag is not anything fancy, but it proves to be extremely functional. It is absolutely perfect for running errands, heading to a bookstore or for stuffing all your stuff into as you head to the park. The handbag is made of leather and has plenty of room to hold your wallet, sunglasses, iPod, books, magazines, etc. I’m also a huge fan of the platform bottom; it ensures that the bag will hold a bit of a shape no matter what you throw in it. The bag is lined on the inside and has a zip pocket (which I always use for my really important stuff, read: lip gloss) and several slip pockets for whatever you might need. I guess the only draw back might revolve around the design. Is it only appropriate for a specific age group? I can’t decide. What do you think? Buy through Zappos for $292.
