I was looking at my handbag collection the other day and I realized that most of my handbags are very “safe”. There are typical shapes you would expect, typical colors, and typical materials. I can’t say that my collection is boring, but the day I was looking at my bags I felt the need for some spice and pizazz amongst my bags. I bought a new Marc Jacobs bag recently (reveal to come this week) that is so loud and edgy, it will surely bring an immediate burst of energy into my collection. But I am craving more.

After I saw the Louis Vuitton Spring 2010 handbags and accessories at the LV boutique in Bal Harbour, I ordered two items. One is the colored fox tail that continues to be seen adorning the Spring bags. The other item I will not reveal, as it is one of the four bags I am having you vote on. But I am second guessing my choice and want your help. Help me decide which Louis Vuitton bag from the Spring 2010 collection will add more spunk and character to my collection. (more…)

Fergie Louis Vuitton Satin Plisse Matelasse Fergie and the rest of the Black Eyed Peas made an appearance at the Paris Menswear Fashion Week’s Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2010 show at Le 104 on Thursday, June 25th. The only way to attend a designer show is decked out in their items from head to toe. Fergie had on the most amazing outfit from the Fall 2009 Louis Vuitton collection. Her dress was amazing, but her accessories topped the outfit off so perfectly that I cannot stop staring. This is why Fergie makes our weekend obsession list, as our love of the Louis Vuitton Satin Plisse Matelasse and the Louis Vuitton Cancan Shoes is taken to a new level.

After Vlad and Shannon gave us a preview of the LV Fall 2009 line, I have been having a LV itch for the Louis Vuitton Satin Plisse Matelasse. Now I am obsessed. This clutch is similar to the Limelight that everyone went nuts over, but it takes it to a new level, adding studs, a color combo, and satin and leather combo as well. The extraordinary Louis Vuitton Cancan Shoes will cost around $1350 while the Louis Vuitton Satin Plisse Matelasse will cost $2,575.

Louis Vuitton and Takashi MurakamiLouis Vuitton and Takashi Murakami go hand in hand now. But it was only six years ago when they first collaborated on the spring-summer 2003 season. We continue to be excited by new Louis Vuitton and Takashi Murakami collaborations and wait anxiously to hear about the new additions. For your viewing pleasure, Takashi Murakami has created a film animation to follow his Superflat Monogram film from 2003. The new filmed is dubbed the Superflat First Love.

Louis Vuitton Core Values

Louis Vuitton brought us news and an image of the new Louis Vuitton Core Values icons. Say farewell to the Coppolas and hello to three new exceptional figures. Louis Vuitton commemorates the 40th anniversary of man’s conquest of the Moon and features Buzz Aldrin, Jim Lovell, and Sally Ride as their Core Values icons.

The photograph by Annie Leibovitz is not only amazing but captivating, showing three individuals who have accomplished a similar feat which seemed unimaginable. Louis Vuitton has found a way to inspire with this Core Values Campaign and continues to reach above and beyond. (more…)

In rather hectic fashion, Shannon and I made our way to New York last Monday for the unique chance to meet and greet the Chief Operating Officer of Louis Vuitton North America, Mr. Daniel Lalonde. When we received the invitation last week whilst being on vacation, there was no real hesitation before realizing that we had to take advantage of this unique opportunity.

The Location

Louis Vuitton Corporate Showroom NYC

Shannon and I had high hopes that the event was going to take place in the flagship store on 5th Avenue, in our fantasies we had envisioned Vuitton clearing a whole floor off eager shoppers and letting the event attendees roam the palace freely.

The disappointment was only faint when a kind SA in the store pointed us to the adjacent building down 57th Street, where part of Louis Vuitton N.A.’s corporate headquarters are located. To my pleasant surprise, the showroom was presenting beautiful pieces of LV’s fall collection, some of which I captured on camera. (more…)

Daniel LaLonde Louis Vuitton Tomorrow Vlad and Shannon will be attending an intimate cocktail hour hosted by Daniel LaLonde of Louis Vuitton for online publishers. Louis Vuitton is slowly making its way into the online world of publishers and social media (last week Louis Vuitton announced that it is officially on Twitter). We are extremely honored to be invited to this event as we have been longtime followers and fans of Louis Vuitton.

Vlad was granted photography access as well, which means exclusive photos for all of you! While photos are an intricate look into this gathering, questions directly asked to the CEO would share even more information on the much-loved Louis Vuitton. We can make no promises, but what if we were able to ask the CEO of Louis Vuitton some questions? If we are lucky we may snag a few minutes of Daniel LaLonde’s time and if we like your questions, we may put them on our list!

If you could ask Daniel Lalonde, the CEO of Louis Vuitton North America, anything what would it be?

Louis Vuitton Ipanema Beach TowelThis right here, folks, is why they hate us. And when I say “they,” I’m not talking about terrorists. I’m talking about everyone. Because there are few things more imminently hateable than a $450 beach towel. The Louis Vuitton Ipanema Beach Towel, to be specific.

And I totally get that’s it’s all in good fun and totally hilarious and kitschy, but seriously, a beach towel? Something made specifically for putting on the ground and messing up with Corona, sunscreen, and sand? At this point, all it elicited from me was a serious eye-roll. I know that people with money to spend will spend it as they please, as well they should, but I think we may be beginning to stretch the bounds of reasonableness. Maybe I just feel like that because of the price, however – if this was $150, I probably just would have chuckled and moved on, and wouldn’t even be writing about it right now. But it’s not, it’s three times that, and that’s not a typo. It’s also something that I can simply not abide. Buy via Vuitton.com for $450.

As most of you know, back in February we partnered with our friends at Who What Wear to bring you an amazing giveaway: Louis Vuitton Luggage Set. Throughout the month, you waited, on the edge of your seat to see who the lucky winner would be. Well, we tallied all the entries and randomly selected the oh-so-lucky winner. Congrats to Kaitlyn T. from New York!!!

We hope you’ve all enjoyed the giveaway and if you’re not Kaitlyn, fear not, we have some great new giveaways on the horizon.

Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis Cosmetic Pouch MMI’ve been on the look recently for a very tiny pouch or wristlet to use as a clutch. I want something small enough to fit easily in my hand that will hold only the very essentials – house key, car key, ID, cash, phone. But the phone is where I’m hitting an impasse, because I have an enormous Blackberry with an even more enormous clear plastic shell to keep it safe (gotta brag for a minute – it’s one of the new click-screen ones! I love it!). As such, the thing is approximately the size of a small computer, and even if I can find a wristlet into which it fits, nothing else will fit alongside it. So I’ve decided to get a bit creative in my current search, and this morning came across something that could potentially work very well – the Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis Cosmetic Pouch MM. I realize that it’s meant to hold lipsticks and whatnot inside of a larger bag, but since it doesn’t have cosmetic pouch emblazoned on it anywhere, I doubt anyone would know the difference. Besides, I’m all for repurposing things (kinda of like the tv stand holding the microwave in my kitchen. Ahem). At any rate, it looks like it’s just small enough to fit in my hand while being just big enough to contain my giant brick of a phone, and it zips all the way across the top, lest I drop it or hit anyone in the head with it. Perfect! On top of all that, amarante is my favorite color of LV vernis ever and would go really well with all the black I tend to wear. Now if only LV ever went on sale. Buy through eLuxury for $450.

Kanye West Louis VuittonFor the most part, we are all pretty familiar with the fact that designers like to collaborate. I’m totally fine with this. I love seeing how two, three or four creative minds can work together in order to arrive at a final product. As some of you might have heard, singer Kanye West has collaborated with Louis Vuitton for a shoe line. I’m going to go out on a limb and say, I’m not a fan. While I come across images of these shoes, what I am more interested in would without a doubt have to be the Louis Vuitton bags he has in toe. In this image, you see an up close and personal image of a Camouflage Louis Vuitton Bag. Unfortunately, I don’t have information on where you can buy it or how much it is, but let’s have a little fun here. What do you think? Last week I talked about Heidi’s Chanel Manicure, which definitely stirred some debate. So when I came across this bag, I thought it might do the same. For those of you who LOVE all things and everything Louis Vuitton and for those of you who just like to admire any handbag you can, what do you think? You see it now, but do you wish you never had?
