Today, I’d like to switch bases a bit to talk to you about the greatest scourge threatening America today: Zombies. Thought The Walking Dead was just a fictional TV show, did you? I’m here to …
Is there anything that says “summer” more than a Lilly Pulitzer print and a weekend trip to a sandy locale? I can’t think of anything. I suspect that Pulitzer’s sunny, girly patterns may be more popular in my native Southeast than in some parts of the country, and even in my black-loving, pastel-hating mind, they represent posh pool parties and days spent on the deck of a large boat.
That might not be how I spend most of my summer days (although a girl can wish, right?), but that doesn’t mean that I can’t still own the Lilly Pilitzer for Le Sportsac Large Weekender. Pink-and-green prints are something of a Lilly signature, and the floral couldn’t get any more Southern sorority-girl appropriate. It’s out of character for me, but I think I might love it. (more…)
It has now been above 60 degrees for two days in a row in Georgia, and the sunshine is giving me the travel itch something fierce. My fair skin has never ingratiated me to tropical vacations, but the advent of warm weather is making me wish that I were laying in a beach chair right now.
Perhaps spring makes you want to do something different – go hiking in Colorado or maybe (if you’re lucky) shop for your summer wardrobe in New York City. Wherever you want to go, we’ve got some bright and cheery travel essentials that don’t skimp on functionality to get you to your destination of choice. (more…)
I get to take a little weekend vacay, you guys! This weekend, my friend and I decided to get the heck out of dodge and booked an $80 hotel in Savannah so we can wander around, eat, drink, and look at the ocean for a few days. Yes, we’re cheap people, and this is the cheapest hotel we could find that didn’t look like it was going to get us shot. You know what I’m not cheap about, though? Anything that can be classified as a handbag or accessory. Which is why, if I had had a bit of forethought (which, face it, forethought is not really my strong suit), I would have bought a LeSportsac Page Cosmetic Bag to take with me.
I’m one of those people that needs a huge one – I have ‘problem hair’ that I flat iron, which requires a ton of product, and I’m a big fan of things like foundation primer, setting powder, and having 800 eyeshadows from which to choose. This cosmetic bag has two big compartments to separate hair and makeup toiletries, plus a zipper for brushes and small items to keep everything organized. I think even my gigantic bottle of contact solution would fit in to it, and that’s quite a feat indeed. Buy through ShopBop for $62.
