Things from Jimmy Choo have been a bit “blah” lately. They’ve continued to make a lot of popular styles from previous seasons in new materials and finishes, which should make the brand’s devotees happy, but I always prefer to see something new alongside old favorites.

The Jimmy Choo Rosa Satchel maybe not seem all that striking or innovative to the casual observer, but for Choo, it’s something a bit different. Many of the brand’s bags have been a bit over-designed in recent seasons, and with that in mind, the restraint and editing that went into this design are admirable, not to mention very attractive. I was looking back at some of the bags I’ve been covering lately and it seems like most of them are rather structured and classic in nature. So, no wonder I’ve spent much of my day thus far drooling over bags that have more of an edgy feel to them. Case in point, this Jimmy Choo Bag.

As soon as I started looking at this bag, I was taken back to the last time I was in a Jimmy Choo store and how many fabulous edgy bags they have. It is always great to find a bag that makes a name for itself before you even know what name is on the label. (more…)

I’ve heard that turquoise is the color of spring this year. Ok, well, I heard it from something that Megs said on Twitter, so maybe I can’t claim any original research in the “color of the season” category, but turquoise sounds just about as likely as anything else. I have seen a lot of hot pink bags for spring, though, so I’d like to nominate that for second place.

Anyway, turquoise: perfectly lovely, glad to hear that it’s going to be big in the next few months. I much prefer it to orange or an alternative that looks equally terrible next to my skin. So, time to find a good turquoise handbag, I suppose, and the Jimmy Choo Rahmyn Snake-Embossed Hobo is one of the strongest contenders that I’ve found. (more…)

I have become increasingly pleased with Jack Rabbit handbags. This past year has really turned my head a bit. At first, I thought some of the designs were flawed and stopped short of a finished product. Yet, as soon as I started thinking that way, this designer made me think again. I completely embraced the Jack Rabbit Collection Twilight Messenger Bag and now I think I’ve found another bag I really enjoy. (more…)

Alright, it is official, I am on a stocking stuffer kick right now. Now, top that off with the Coach bag Anna just covered and I think my eye is fixated on small, sort of flashy handbags and accessories. So, with these two things in mind you might be able to see why I had to stop and take note when I came across the Perlina Snake Embossed Mini Bag. Obviously, the key word with this handbag is mini. In fact, I almost thought it was a wristlet when I first saw it. (more…)

I remember being a small child and going to the hair salon with my mom. Megs and I would sit there patiently (well as close to patiently as possible) while my mom had her hair washed, cut and styled. As Megs and I sat and attempted to stay out of trouble and not fight with one another I remember watching all the other ladies come in and out of the salon. Each one of them seemed to carry a very large bag and it always intrigued me. Coming across the Longchamp Roseau Crocodile-Embossed Leather Tote instantly reminded me of those very bags I just described. (more…)

This isn’t the first time that we’ve covered the Helena De Natalio Sofi Leather Hobo but I have to say this is the version I like the most! We’ve seen the bag in black and another one in a sea green color. Both gorgeous in their own way but when I saw the latest version I said to myself, ok, I really need to get this! (more…)
