I would like to express my frustration a little bit about not living in NYC right now. Two words: Sample Sales. Sample Sales give you the opportunity to score such incredible deals it seems not right. One Sample Sale that I would love to attend is Devi Kroell‘s. Not only is she a talented designer, but also an amazing person. Click on the invite for details about the sample sale (up to 90% off!!).
Luckily, Vlad and I are moving to NYC in August, so I will not need to lament any longer.
Well, isn’t this just the ray of sunshine I’ve been looking for! Here in South Florida, we are in the midst of our rainy season. While I have become accustom to afternoon storms, the past week has been full of doom and gloom. Rain in the morning, thunder in the afternoon and a nice combination of the two in the evening. So, I’ve definitely been on the hunt for a handbag to brighten my day.
The Devi Kroell Degrade Wide Hobo uses bright colors in all the right ways! Python leather adorns this wide hobo (11″ x 17″ x 6″) perfectly. For me, exotic skins almost always look good on clutches or small handbags, but the same skin on larger bags can sometimes look a bit sloppy. If the sunflower inspired python wasn’t enough, open the bag and you’ll see a silk lined interior. Sure, I might worry that my keys or perhaps a pen (I never leave home without a pen and lip gloss in my bag) could snag the silk, but this is a risk I’d be willing to take. This bag is a complete hit, I love it! Buy through Barney’s for $3490.
Have you missed Vlad and I? We are totally MIA while on vacation right now and loving it. Goodbye internet, hello peace and quiet. It is odd, but we are loving it. But I feel an itch. An itch to shop. And shopping in Columbus, Ohio is nothing like shopping in South Florida and nothing like braving the NYC sample sales. I am yearning to be in NYC for Sample Sale season. The next Sample Sale we are missing but some of you must attend if from Devi Kroell. Beginning tomorrow, the Devi Kroell sample sale will begin where you are sure to spot amazing exotic bags, shoes, and accessories.

Vlad and I had the pleasure of meeting Devi Kroell, the glamorous designer who is soft spoken and radiates when speaking of her designs. I have always been a fan of Devi’s slouchy hobos, that made her name known, and more recently her box clutches. Many first wore Devi Kroell’s python slouchy hobo, which at the time Devi was one of few designers implementing the use of exotic skins. In fact, Jessica Simpson made the bag quite popular and her sister Ashley became a fan also. Her purses are designed with all attention paid to detail. Devi’s focus is on the exotics, and while she has been known for her python use (including python boots who are worn by stars like Kate Moss), Devi has ventured into alligator skin. Vlad was obsessing over her orange Alligator Large Hobo which retails for $28,990. So with that being said, I shall start to re-obsess over her python bags, because her alligator bags are not in my budget right now. Devi Kroell has lived around the world taking in different cultures, languages, and experiences to make her handbag and accessory line what it is today.
