I’ve been spending quite a bit of time trying to figure out if I like this bag or not, and frankly, I still have no idea. I simply cannot make up my mind. While I do like the color and unique design of the bag, I still think that it is a bit too much. Perhaps I can’t get over the fact that the bag looks a bit like marshmallows. Do you see it? (more…)
Why hasn’t anyone made this bag before? Did someone do it and I just missed it? Because the Dautore Leather Lattice Tote is a strong design idea, and I can’t believe that there aren’t a great deal of similarly styled bags on the market right now.
And is anyone else looking at this and seeing shades of Project Runway, Season 5, during which Suede made the latticed dress for the Natalie Portman/”green” fabric challenge? Or am I the only one that lets reality shows take up that much of her brain space? (more…)
When you guys were kids, did you ever take part in the really elaborate lanyard-weaving with the plastic-y, brightly colored strips of…well, whatever they were? The stuff which you used to make lanyards? I did, and the end result was always this weird, rigid box-weave column of uselessness. For the life of me, I can’t remember what we did with them or why we felt so compelled to make them. It was an odd ritual of girlhood, and one that I can’t entirely place now that I look back on it.
