Mother Nature seems to have skipped over winter and went straight into spring this year. Today is the first official day of spring, and I have no idea how that happened or how it is …

St. Patrick’s Day is one of those days when everyone claims they’re Irish. It’s fun to celebrate St. Patty’s Day because to most of us, it means wearing green, drinking green beer, eating green shamrock …

I have shared this before, but my first ever handbag was a Coach bag. From that day forward I was hooked on bags and it clearly changed my life going forward, as I get to talk about the accessories I love every day. While many designers have come in and out of my collection, Coach will always have a special place in my heart. Over the past few years, Coach has churned out higher quality and priced items season after season. The true Coachies (a name given to Coach bag lovers by our loyal Coach PurseForum members) have grown with the brand and found the collections that they love most.

For $800, brands like Alexander Wang and Louis Vuitton can be purchased, but right now I am crushing on the Coach Pinnacle Leather Allie. (more…)

We keep talking about spring trends in handbags, clearly there are many. We have brought you stories on denim and perforated leather, and today I will tell you about another trend; floral patterns. Typically we would cover this Coach bag on PurseBlog Savvy, but I actually wanted to feature this on PurseBlog.

Coach bags receive quite a bit of flack from many handbag enthusiasts. And while this may be the case, Coach continues to be the brand that starts many people’s handbag obsession on their way into other brands while remaining the go-to brand for many as well. In fact, my first bag was a Coach bag. (more…)

Coach Zebra Brooke

When we were part of the Coach Holiday Program one of the three bags we picked was the Coach Brooke. The Brooke is a favorite of mine, an elegant everyday shape that Coach continues to find a way to change up. While the crackled metallic caught my eye, so too does the Coach Zebra Brooke. (more…)

Coach Kristin Preview

One of the most well-known brands in the handbag world is Coach. Both men and women recognize the Coach logo and millions continue to support Coach bags season after season. Established in 1941 as a family run workshop in Manhattan, Coach quickly became renown not only for their style but also quality. With an expanding company and product line, we continue to expect and be given innovative lines and multiple collections every season.

We were given the opportunity to review the upcoming Coach Kristin Collection which is set to launch online and in stores on November 1st, 2009. The Kristin line is clean and effortless, possessing many Coach qualities without having the Coach signature logo. The colors used for this line are soft and elegant, including shades of coral, pink, ivory, and burnished amber. Not just simple leather, the bags are given different finishes for optimum dimension and appeal, including fresh color blocking, embossed exotics, and rich glazed leather. (more…)

We don’t talk a lot about Coach handbags on this blog, and maybe that’s an oversight on our part. What better way to start correcting it, then, than by talking about the line of bags named after yours truly (ok, well, they’re not necessarily named after me. But I came first. So there.)? The Amanda Satin Mini Satchel is, by my standards at least, kinda cute. There are disadvantages to using a material like satin (snagging!), but the advantage that Coach has realized is that it takes vivid color much better than almost any kind of leather. You get a sheen and brightness with satin that you don’t usually find in a handbag, and in small doses (this satchel is “mini,” after all) it can be a beautiful addition to an ensemble. I wouldn’t suggest buying a massive satin handbag, but something petite and bright could potentially be a lot of fun, methinks. Particularly at such a friendly price point. Buy through Nordstrom.

Coach handbags, oh how I have a special place in my heart for them. For both Megs and I, our first designer handbags were Coach handbags. Now, as my taste and knowledge of designer handbags has evolved, there have definitely been times when I find myself on the fence looking at Coach bags. The Coach Amanda Satin Mini Satchel is one that I think I would place on the “liking” side of the fence. It is classic, sophisticated and has an ever so slight hint of edge to it. Now, this purse comes in several colors, but I am featuring the “grass” color because, well, it is different. I think I would opt for the double handles as the means to tote the bag around, so luckily the shoulder strap is removable. I don’t always know how I feel about satin bags because to be honest, they can just snag so easily. Yet, here, I like the polysatin with leather trim – the combination works. What do you think – is Coach able to compete with some of your favorite designers? Buy through Nordstrom for $268.

Call me idealistic, but I love when I hear that co-stars on screen get along and hang out off screen. I have no problem admitting that I love reading gossip mags and searching through photos of celebs. Call it my guilty pleasure, but it is one of the things I do when I have some free time. So, although Blake Lively and Leighton Messter are rivals on screen, apparently they do in fact get along off screen. I guess I really like the warm and tingly feeling I get when people can remain close friends while they become increasingly famous. Here Lively and Messter are sporting some items from Coach’s fall line.

Messter is carrying the Hamptons Embossed Python Flap which looks gorgeous. The bag features black python printed leather with fabric lining. This bag is once again the kind of bag you can carry day or night without a problem. Her shoes are the Claudine Pump. The pumps look perfect for fall. I’m a huge fan of dark, rich brown shoes in the fall. Call me traditional (in this sense), but I think dark, rich tones are a must for a fall. Even living in Florida, brown, orange and even some deep yellows are a must in the fall. The Hampton Embossed Python Flap is priced at $1,000.oo while the pumps are $318.00. Lively is sporting the Coach Wool Maude Hat which comes in a variety of colors. Hats like this are classic. We’ve all seen them from season to season; they just never seem to become outdated. The hat will cost you $248.00. So, what do you think about any of these items? Might you add them to your fall lineup? Everything can be purchased through Coach online.

Mandy Moore with Coach Ergo ToteOne of the biggest celebrity fans of Coach handbags is Mandy Moore. The casual appeal of many Coach bags is perfect for Mandy’s style and she constantly opts for their exotic line of bags. Most recently Mandy Moore has been spotted toting the hard to find Coach Ergo Convertible Tote, which can be carried hand held or over the shoulder with the removable shoulder strap. This tote is not easy to find, as it is not online right now but you may try your luck in your local boutique. It is available in black, white, burnt orange, and natural. The beauty of the bag is how it can be worn three ways; traps are also removable to create a large daytime clutch or keep them on to wear like Mandy as a fold over style, or as a tote in hand. I love how the bag is not overpowering but still looks great on the boho chic look Mandy tends to sport. Price is $478 through your local Coach retail store or through Nordstrom online. (more…)
