Christian Louboutin continues to work his way into the handbag market, though the famed designer is still most well-known for his red-soled shoes. Sometimes one of his bags really makes an impression, while others don’t …

Christian Louboutin has been working hard to bring the awareness of its handbag collections up to par with its world-famous shoes, and the line is well on its way. The brand has transitioned well, bringing …

Happy 20th Anniversary to the famed Christian Louboutin! To celebrate 20 years of amazing bags and shoes, the Christian Louboutin Capsule Collection has been released that showcases 20 iconic shoe styles and 6 bags that have been redesigned to celebrate the occasion. The collection is being shown on the official Louboutin Facebook page.

Tomorrow we will show you the true beauty of this bag, but today here is a sneak peek at a sketch of one of the six soon-to-be-released bags. Behold, the Christian Louboutin Artemis Plumes. What are your thoughts?

They are as follows: 1) Fashion-forward appearance 2) Protection from anyone or anything at anytime.

Have you ever seen a bag with studs implemented in the way Christian Louboutin did on his Artemis Python Shoulder Bag? Because I have not. In fact, this bag both intrigues me and worries me.

First off, I wonder about the reasoning for naming this bag the Christian Louboutin Artemis Studded Python Shoulder Bag, as Artemis comes from Ancient Greek Mythology. The daughter of Leto and Zeus, and the twin of Apollo, Artemis is the goddess of the wilderness, the hunt and wild animals, and fertility. So this bag’s gorgeous body and skin represents the beauty of Artemis while the massive spiked studs symbolize her being a huntress. (more…)

We’ve covered a lot of interesting bags on PurseBlog, but this Christian Louboutin Eden Vision Fur Ball Clutch takes what could be termed as an “interesting” bag and just makes it beautiful.

Of course, it’s expensive for such a teeny bag, but it’s mink and it’s Christian Louboutin. The best thing about that, though, is that it looks amazing and subtle and understated. Most importantly, it doesn’t look like this. (more…)

Yesterday Amanda asked you all if you think Christian Louboutin should stick to shoes. I personally do not think he needs to, he has released some amazing bags. The problem is that some other bags have been not so amazing, bordering on downright confusing. I understand the spunky design of many Christian Louboutin shoes. Call me safe, but when it comes to making a bold and quirky design, a pair of shoes is a better fit. (more…)

In grade school we had to do a project on Joan of Arc. I don’t remember any specifics other than if you dressed up you got extra credit. And being the type A personality that I am, extra credit was just about the best thing ever. Any way to make a grade go over 100% or get multiple check plus plus or A ++ had my name all over it. And give me a sticker that says “You’re a Star!“, whew, that was like Christmas morning. So, I didn’t just dress up. My mom and I drove all over town to find the most authentic-looking Joan of Arc ensemble. I had a metal chain vest on while I presented, and it was awesome.

All I can’t think about when I see this Christian Louboutin bag is that day back in 3rd grade. Granted the Christian Louboutin Carillon Quilted Clutch is not made of metal, rather silver quilted leather with sequined disc embellishment. This effect from afar appears like pounded circular metal and I love it. (more…)

Christian Louboutin Piercing Softy HoboI don’t even really know how to begin. I am bringing you a Christian Louboutin handbag that isn’t a clutch? I think this is a first. While there are times I write about handbags for no reason other than shock or surprise; this time, being surprised is a good thing. I am so pleased with the Christian Louboutin Piercing Softy Hobo I almost don’t know where to start. The soft “makeup” colored leather is a shade that can go with so many outfits during so many different seasons. The way the leather is gathered as well as the pleating and vertical welts draw the eye to the detailing that went into designing and crafting the bag. And of course, as you might be able to tell, this is a bag that would be perfect to use during the day. Yet at the same time, I could see myself carrying this during the evening as well. If you aren’t a fan of the color, fear not, the handbag comes in black as well. If you ever doubted that this was truly a Louboutin handbag, open it up and you will find the signature bright silk satin lining. Gorgeous. And since you are pretty much sure to drop a pretty penny or two on a Louboutin, maybe a larger bag like this one can be more justifiable than one of the clutches. Buy through Saks for $1895.

Handbags and shoes, what a wonderful combination. And I have to say, Mr. Louboutin tends to make me a happy camper when it comes to both categories. I’ve always dreamed of owning a pair of his shoes. In fact, I usually stop and admire his shoes any time I get a chance. And his clutches, I do still find myself drooling over the Christian Louboutin Cancan Satin Clutch. Yes, his handbags and clutches will set you back a bit, but one day, I will own one of each. As for today, I find myself wishing the Christian Louboutin Nappa Laminato Envelope Clutch will be found in my stocking on Christmas morning. How gorgeous? Unlike the Cancan Satin Clutch, this one is a little more, I guess you could say, reserved. Yet, it is downright elegant. The well thought out pleats add a little spice to the clutch while also adding a sense of sophistication and fun. And of course, open the clutch to find the signature red satin lining. The more I think about it, the more this clutch seems to boast understated exquisite taste. Buy through Saks for $925.
