If you haven’t yet seen the newest teeny tiny Foley + Corinna City bags, then make your way to your nearest Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, or Saks Fifth Avenue as soon as possible to take a peek”” within reason, of course. (more…)

I am sure I sound like a bit of a broken record when I start talking about Linea Pelle handbags. So, I am going to go ahead and get everything that I always say out of the way first. I absolutely love the leather Linea Pelle chooses for all of their handbags. It’s the kind of leather that gets better with each use. How could a handbag lover not appreciate that? And the next thing is, while Linea Pelle bags aren’t typically over-the-top kind of bags, each bag really demonstrates how it doesn’t need all sorts of bells and whistles to be a knock-out. (more…)

See people, this is what I am talking about when I express how I feel that so many shoulder straps are unnecessary. The shoulder strap on the Olivia Harris Lambskin Round Sack Tote is not only unnecessary, it is also absolutely FUGLY. I know for a fact that I would have a much different opinion if say, the strap was the same color as the bag itself. However, a black bag with a tan shoulder strap just screams “handbag don’t” to me. (more…)

You know, I wish this wasn’t the case, but, I don’t really see anything all that wonderful about the Marc by Marc Jacobs Q 49 Catherine Lambskin Satchel. Is it just me or does anyone else feel the same way?

Yeah, this is a nice enough handbag, but I don’t see anything over the top about it. In fact, I’m kind of bored with this bag. To be honest, I don’t think I’d use this bag for anything other than a carry-on when traveling. (more…)

I feel like there is a good chance the handbag Gods are reaching out to me in a very strong way today. You see, today, every single bag that has caught my eye thus far is a crossbody bag. Granted the sizes of these bags are all different, but crossbody bags they are.

As I’ve said multiple times during this seasons crossbody craze, I don’t have one. I know I should and I know I want one, but I just haven’t taken the plunge. While crossbody bags are all the rage, I think I need a bigger crossbody rather than a mini like this Cole Haan bag. Yes, that is a personal preference and it’s too bad, because this one is actually relatively cute. (more…)

It is absolutely no secret that I am a huge Linea Pelle fan. I love their bags, belts and accessories. The great thing about this brand is that nothing is bogged down with too much hardware, frills, or random designs – just because. This brand sticks to what it is good at and that is one of the main reasons it is so successful. Each item is made of fabulous leather that seriously gets better the more you use it. I dare you to show me a Linea Pelle bag that doesn’t age gracefully.

All of this being said, it doesn’t mean that I don’t yearn to expand how many Linea Pelle bags and accessories I have in my closet. In fact, I think that is something I need to do ASAP. Perhaps this Linea Pelle Dylan Leather Messenger Bag is where I might start. (more…)

When it comes to happy, summery bags, I immediately think of Kate Spade. Growing up in the South in a city where Lilly Pulitzer abounds, the Kate Spade brights would always come out when the weather warmed up. Without fail, something like this Kate Spade Jane Street Neda Calfskin Wallet would be paired with a bright little cardi and a Pulitzer dress.

It’s not my style at all. You see, I’d pair the wallet with something much different than this particular Southern preppy style, like with something quirky and bohemian for a nice contrast. However, that just shows how versatile this little wallet it. (more…)

So, there is a good chance you know that we do our best *not* to replicate handbag coverage here. There are so many handbags out there that we become busy trying to cover a wide variety of our favorites (and sometimes not so favorites), meaning we don’t really find a need to revisit a given design. However, every now and again there is a bag that has already been reviewed by myself or another member of the PurseBlog team that deserves a revisit.

All of this being said, the Olivia Harris Zip Pocket Leather Clutch is a handbag completely deserving of the revisit. Amanda covered this bag back this past fall and while I liked it, I completely appreciate this version oh so much more. (more…)

This past weekend was wonderful. I was so lucky to have two of my college roommates in town for a visit. There is something about getting together with old friends that just always warms my heart. One of the great things we did was take some long walks up and down the boardwalk. And of course while I was walking, I of course was checking out all of the beach totes. Some were good and others, well, not so much. So, come today I was on the hunt for a great canvas bag that would be perfect for the beach and beyond. Leave it to Longchamp to fulfill my search. (more…)

Now, this is a gorgeous bag. The first thing that came to mind when I saw this Tory Burch creation were the countless quotes I learned back in high school. They weren’t just any quotes, but quotes about how important and crucial simplicity in life is. And you know what, it is true. While those quotes weren’t intended for handbags and the design of them, I still appreciate how simplistic this bag is; it is just so clean. (more…)

So, tell me something, do you own as many wallets as you do handbags? Well, perhaps you won’t own just as many, but are you someone who switches up your wallets just as much as you switch up your handbags? Sadly, I am not. I tend to have one or two wallets that I work with and rotate in and out of my favorite bags. However, I do find myself coming across more and more wallets that make me want to change my previous practice. (more…)

This is cute. And you know what? I like cute. It’s a funny day because when I think about my taste in handbags I realize that I am all over the place. Some days I complain about a certain thing and other days I say I like that. I guess my mood is one that changes on a whim. But, hey, that’s actually fine by me. I feel like if I came across this Cole Haan Halsey Straw Clutch on a different day, I might not like it. However, today, well, today I like it. (more…)
