It’s winter, so of course the pin-heeled Kurt Geiger Britton pumps are extremely popular with celebs this week. Celebrities go through phases with these shoes, for reasons that aren’t exactly clear. (They’re great, so you’d …

If you’re like me, you don’t buy a new wardrobe every season; not only does that require a limitless budget, but it’s kind of a waste when you have things from last year that you’ve …

Celebrity Handbag Moments Summer 2013

Summer is coming to a close, which is terrible for a number of reasons – first and foremost because I only just found a swimsuit I actually like a mere two weeks ago. But also, …

One complaint I’ve long had with Balmain’s handbags and shoes is that they never seem to embody the luxe-punk aesthetic of the brand in quite the way that the clothes so convincingly do. As the old saying goes, it looks like I should have been careful what I wished for.

But just in time for fashion to get sick of the glam military aesthetic, Balmain might have kinda-sorta gotten its handbag game together.

The Balmain Glitter Top Handle may not be a great handbag, but it’s a very Balmain one, which rights most of the wrongs with the company’s previous accessories designs. Not only were the bags not particularly cute, but they didn’t have any of the edge or joie de vivre of your average Balmain piece. (more…)
