We’ve been diligently working on putting together Holiday Gift Guides that should help everyone figure out what handbag to give or receive this season. Somehow, though, I didn’t find the right gift guide to add this little number to, but it is worth its own post.
It’s no secret that I am a BBag admirer and carrier and while I love the classic-sized City bag, the Balenciaga Arena Giant Hip is too hip to pass up. I’m always telling you how I love a crossbody bag, and more often than not, I go out and don’t need to carry that many items. For days like that, a small bag with a long strap is as perfect as it gets. (more…)
I know I’ve asked before, but seriously, where did summer go? School is no longer out for the summer; it’s back in session and the month of August is nearly gone. I spent much of the season traveling on short weekend getaways, and each time I began packing I ran into the same problem: I don’t have an overnight bag that I love. Large luggage with rolling wheels is in a very different category from spacious but efficient large duffel bags; one is much harder to find than the other.
Of course Balenciaga has an answer for my travel bag woes, and in a bright, eye-catching fluorescent color at that. With small details that are oh-so-Balenciaga, the Voyage 24H in Rose Fluo is a statement piece for every girl who loves a quick escape. (more…)
I never turn to Balenciaga for bucket bags. But that all changed today after I saw the Arena Cross Pampille Mini in Barneys. The black version was on the shelf as well, but there was this gorgeous mint green option that I was coveting. Actually, I snapped a photo – here it is. I started to feel the itch when I laid eyes on the bag. The only thing that held me back was its size. While I appreciate a nice bucket bag, I need a long shoulder strap and a sizable body of the bag for it to work. And unfortunately, this Balenciaga bag does not get the job done.
However, if you want a smaller bucket bag with a 10″ shoulder drop the new Balenciaga Arena Cross Pampille Mini could work for you.
You all know about my seemingly never-ending quest to find the perfect Balenciaga bag right? If you follow us on Twitter (do that now), you will know that the hunt is over. In fact, rather than it being me that finally found the one, it was Vlad who surprised me with the bag. He took away the constant worry and stress over this BBag hunt that I have been actively taking part in and simply got the job done. Matter of fact, I could not have picked a better combination if I tried. My bag is a color that I spoke of highly from Balenciaga in a hardware finish that I never considered: rose gold.
Let me tell you something, the Rose Gold Hardware on Balenciaga Bags is the perfect touch of glam. The post all about my new bag will come next week, but for now I have another option that my eyes are currently stuck on, the Balenciaga Giant City in Military Green with Rose Gold Hardware. (more…)
Ready to have the not only the cutest dog on the block but also the most fashionable? Then Balenciaga is ready to make you happy. Said to be released next season, Balenciaga will launch a line of dog leashes and collars to join the group of luxury pet accessories. We have seen animal geared luxury items from the likes of Louis Vuitton and Gucci previously, but now you can add Balenciaga to the mix.
Balenciaga’s creative director, Nicolas Ghesquiere, was inspired to create this line because of his new chocolate Labrador pup, Fred. Available in bright colors such as neon pink, orange, yellow, and green, these collars and leashes will be pure eye-catching fashion statements. The price is rather hefty at $275-$295 (since many of us spend around $25 for a collar/leash), but the right Balenciaga fan will love to treat their pet.
Well this is an unexpected design from Balenciaga. I am so accustomed to seeing their motorcycle bags that seeing a suede open tote with alphabet embellishments takes me completely off guard. There is black, white, and beige versions available of the Balenciaga Alphabet Tote. Buy via Barneys for $1,795.
Fill in the blank in the comments section below: The Balenciaga Alphabet Tote is ___________.
I am actually totally excited by all things related to Balenciaga’s 10th Anniversary right now. First we had the metallic finished bags at Neiman Marcus, then the lizard embossed First version, and now an animal print Balenciaga First. And this version is by far the most ‘out there‘ of the group, but it is also the one that takes the biggest chance.
