A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about how much I didn’t like the See by Chloe Poya Minibag, and you guys responded in almost unanimous agreement. It was too small, too twee, and too unfinished to command several hundred dollars of anyone’s hard-earned money. And yet, the See by Chloe Poya Satchel, made from similar materials, seems significantly better.

Maybe it’s just because Net-a-Porter tends to style things really well in order to help you get a more accurate feel of how a bag will look its best, or maybe it’s because the scalloped edges don’t take up quite so much surface area on a much larger bag. Whatever the reason, my feelings about this bag are a bit less critical.

I still wouldn’t say that I like this bag; like’s a strong word. I simply dislike it less vehemently. The colors are richer and more current, the shape is trendy right now (hello, Mulberry Alexa), and for the size, the price is comparatively much better. Sometimes only a few design tweaks are necessarily to make a bag bearable. Buy through Net-a-Porter for $495.
