English brand Cambridge Satchel Company burst out of the UK school bag market several years ago with a line of simple, affordable leather bags that appealed to fashion-conscious consumers on a tight budget, and the brand’s bags quickly became fixtures of personal style blogs of all sorts. Now, the company has made its first real aesthetic leap away from the classic school satchel.
The new bags come in three sizes and colors, with a price points at $105 for the mini, $120 for the small and $150 for the large. All have removable straps that enable them to be carried as either clutches or shoulder bag, and they use the ultra-smooth, structured leather that’s always been a brand signature.
Cambridge has branched out in small aesthetic ways since it first became popular, but these bags are by far the most feminine bags the brand has designed, and they’re the least similar to the original satchel. For the price, they’ll be hard to beat.
