Behind The Scenes    Oscar de la Renta

My look at Oscar de la Renta Resort 2012

Last month, we had the pleasure of attending the Oscar de la Renta Resort 2012 runway show, and Vlad and I arrived early to capture behind the scenes photos before the show began. Once backstage, I immediately spotted the incredibly talented Jamie Beck, photographer and co-creator of Cinemagraphs, whose website From Me to You is one of my favorites for visual inspiration.

We got to chatting with Jamie and her fiance, and they were every bit as nice as I imagined they would be. As the duo popped around backstage taking photos, I was using the much more low-tech (but easier) option of tweeting photos from my iPhone. Jamie snapped me backstage as I uploaded a photo, and she recently shared the image she captured with her readers. I must admit it is one of my favorite photos of myself, not only for its composition but also because I was and still am obsessed with the outfit I wore.

I decided before the resort show that I wanted to wear OdlR and began perusing his website to decide on an outfit. When I spotted these trousers, they immediately called my name. We trekked uptown to his Upper East Side boutique and I remember hoping the pants would look on me like I imagined. Right as I put them on, I was sold. A long wide-legged trouser in a burnt orange ($850) was the perfect pant to wear to the show along with a crisp white OdlR button up blouse ($650) and gorgeous earrings ($290). Shoes are from Bottega Veneta and my clutch is my beloved Hermes Kelly Longue. Thanks again to the Oscar de la Renta team for having us and to Jamie for taking this beautiful photo! Make sure to visit her site, From Me to You.
