The hottest color for fall is burgundy, and it looks like every designer has made sure to include the color in their accessories for the season. We talk often about Marc Jacobs, but I feel like when it comes to Marc by Marc Jacobs I am always covering the same bags. Sure, they look good and are great staples, but enough of the Classic Q line. That is why, when I saw this new design from Marc by Marc, I jumped for joy just a tiny bit.

This design is fresh and new for the line, and I really like the direction Marc Jacobs took when creating the Marc by Marc Jacobs Thunderdome Travel Doctor Bag. This bag may be called a doctor’s bag, but the style is reminiscent without looking overly old-fashioned.

I was immediately drawn to this bag and can’t get it out of my mind. I love the structured top paired with the pebbled wineberry leather. There is something about the simplicity of this design that draws me in so much. As you all know, I’m a major shoulder strap fan, and this bag comes with one, which will make it easier to carry for daily use. Price is $498 via ShopBop.

I bought this bag a couple of weeks ago… I prefer it over my Hermes!

I think im the only one disastified with Marcs new…and old bags. Every bag has cheaper leather now, and the details have fallen short in terms of quality. He changed his old sturdy cotton lining to the now slick and slippery nylon (gasp). Also…all his magnetic closures are weaker and no longer concealed. It is also disappointing that the piping seems to be less able to stand up to normal W&T. I have a couple of his bags…older q hilliers and a lil utika and the quality is unmatched over the years I have had them. I just returned a replacement q hillier to Nordies bc although the color was gorg…I couldnt waste money on a lesser quality product.
