Congrats to our winner, Shana Levin!!

When Vlad and I visited the Botkier showroom last week, the bag that neither of us could take our eyes off of was the new Small Eden Satchel valued at $495. Monica sent me home with one myself and I can not stop singing its praises. The supple lambskin is absolutely luscious and the colorblocking adds a current spin on a classic shape.

Before the bag is available to anyone else, we’re partnering with Botkier to give one away to a lucky PurseBlog reader. The winner will be able to pick the color combination of her choice (all shown above).

    To be over colored!

  • Laura

I’m scared it will clash with my outfit unless I dress in all black.

  • Ellen

I love color as an accent! Color blocking can be such a fun way to add to other textures and colors for a fashion forward look.

  • Yen

I love the vibrant colors to make my outfit POP!

  • Alison

I LOVE the look of color blocking when professionally “blocked”. But I am afraid that if I try to do it myself, I will look like a clown.

  • Gloria

To look like I wasn’t doing it deliberately …

  • Melissa

Being color blind, I prefer wearing “safe” colors and having a bag that will stand out will be awesome but at the same time, I’m scared it might shock my friends or I might not find an outfit to downplay the colors.

  • Shannon

Increased risk of clashing with the rest of my outfit

  • Irina

clashing with my bag, most of them are big colors

  • Caroline R.

I love color blocking but I’m afraid that if I do it wrong, I’ll look like a rubix cube!

  • Patricia

I fear being mistaken for a character from Sesame Street. That won’t stop me from trying the trend, though!

  • Jessica

To OVER do it. Also, that my colors will look odd and “fruit like” (ex: color blocking with yellow and brown… You know what I’m talkin about… Or green and pink and black like a watermelon).

  • Janice

I love color blocking because it’s so interesting! I like that many colors can be mixed together but the final result is still beautiful. Plus, it’s a guarantee that your outfit will stand out and really pop!

  • Michelle Oliveto

I love color blocking with accessories as a way to add color to most of neutral colored style.

  • Ladyash

While I love colour blocking I fear that if I buy something too out there with colours that it won’t match the rest of my wardrobe. I am just starting to love colour, so I kind of fear that I would look like I was trying too hard with too many colours.

  • Miryem

I love the infinit possibilities of outfits i can make using colorblocking.. The thing I fear the most is the shoes and bag , but with a color blocked bag this double up the fun!!!!

  • addrienne mertens

color blocking can be easily matched in shoes and outfit! nice bag
o my gosh those are fabulous! i saw a VW once that looked like that and wanted it so bad! a purse is easier to take around

  • LatnCooknDiva

I love this fashion trend of “color blocking” – its very easy to do – which is what I most enjoy about it. All I have to do is pick three main colors and off I go! My favorite combos of “color blocking” are: chocolate brown, pink, peach / cobalt blue, yellow, orange
    and coral, gray , ivory
If you know how to pair the colors this trend is so much fun!!

  • Rivly

I like colour blocking because it gives me a sense of identity. I am a colourful person inside and out, and people have always made fun of me for this, now that colour blocking has become popular, I feel proud more than ever to mix colours and let my true personality shine.

  • Ivis

    I want the pink one!!!!

  • erin

I love the contrast and brightness between the pieces
I’m wearing. I fear nothing while rocking this trend, because the only thing there would be to fear is other people’s opinions..and those don’t matter.

  • Stephanie

My biggest fear about color blocking is if I’m over doing it or not. I find that I express myself with too much color, but I just can’t help myself.

  • Sosti

I love how colors that I would NEVER thinl to put together look GREAT, but I always fear my outfit will clash and I’ll look like a rainbrow brite mess!! Ha

  • JennMSU

I worry about not using the bag enough because of the color scheme… then I get over it when I realize how much I love the bag! :)

  • Cate

What I love about color blocking is the array of combinations, and how great a colorblocked bag pops next to a black dress.

  • Karen

I’m always afraid of making the wrong color choices when layering pieces, but I do love colorblocking because it makes you look so effortless and clean when you do it right!

  • Meller

It’s going to be so hard for me to choose when I win. All the colors are blocked perfectly! This is what I LOVE Botkier, you simply rule this one! XOXOXOX

  • Simar

I love color blocking when it’s done right. Botkier actually did it better than the Chloe ones that were posted earlier. Those looked like art school projects.

  • Sharon

I think I’m afraid that I’ll get tired of the color combo although I still love the style of the bag. I can take two colors together but hesitate on more.

  • Erica

I love the crisp, cleanliness, yet it can still be fun!

  • Tebussy

    I fear looking like a 4th grader!

  • Jessica C

I love color blocking because I love anything colorful and fun! :D

  • Grace

My biggest fear about color blocking is wrong placement of colors on a garment. As fun and bold as it is, it can make a person look bigger if the blocking is not right.

  • Tre

I’m afraid I’m going to look like a crazy person! But I love it when it is done right!

  • Candace

I don’t think I could pull it off on my own! Thankful for designers who do it for me :)

  • Terri B

    Color blocking is so eye-catching!

  • Silversun

I love colourblocking because I’m a big fan of clean lines and geometric shapes. A beautifully colourblocked bag sometimes reminds me of a painting by Mondrian or Rothko – there’s an immediate impact, but it also rewards much closer scrutiny.

  • Angie

With color blocking, I fear that it would not look right on my plus-size body. As I chubby girl, I feel really uncomfortable drawing attention to my body. As a result, I rely A LOT on my accessories. Don’t get me wrong, I love the look of color blocking, but the thought of wearing it on my body simply frightens me. I wish I were more brave …

  • Erin

I love the unexpected pairings of colorblocking

  • Sara

clashing with too many bright colours
and I’m mostly a neutral type of person
I love black, white, and any shades of tan
but maybe this will be just the type of purse to add the right amount of colour to my outfit

  • Alexis

I love pairing bold colors with a black or navy foundation color because your look is always original and almost incapable of being copied! it always looks classic/modern/retro at the same time! But, my favorite is something my friend once said, “it’s always refreshing to see someone wearing black + a hot pink shirt + a neon green bag and some worn in leather boots!”

  • Claire

I love that it’s a way to be a little playful with yur outfit. I am just afraid to be too bright and colorful, not exactly a good combination for law school. So colorblocking in a satchel, perfect!

  • Vivian

How ironic! I just saw a pic of Botkier trigger at lunch (yes late in the game I know) and have spent the last few hours on tpf finding out more about Botkier! Would love to win this and own my first Botkier!

The thing I love about color blocking is variety. You can make your wardrobe seem fierce by selecting complimentary colors. You can make an outfit harmonious by selecting analogous colors. The biggest fear of colorblocking is selecting too many colors. You don’t want to look like a rainbow.

  • Caroline

I like color blocking but my wardrobe already has a lot of color so there’s a danger of becoming a color explosion.

  • Chris

I love color blocking because often it makes me smile. It can really brighten up my day!

  • Priscilla

What I love most about color blocking is the zest it injects into an outfit. What I fear about color blocking is looking too much like a bag of Skittles.

  • Onewithbooks

I love color blocking because it allows me the freedom to be daring and to put color combinations together that I never would have otherwise (sometimes combos I would have never thought of!).

This comment may appear more than once and I apologize if it does.I tried doing it through Yahoo but it did not appear.

  • Kayla

I don’t know how to match it to my outfits. :(

  • Kara C

Color blocking is scary because though it can be beautiful, it can easily be overdone.

  • ter garney

I love the unexpected element of colorblocking. Putting together bold colors is very eye catching…an awesome conversation starter.

  • Eden

I really LOVE seeing people wearing color. My favorite part about color blocking is being able to express myself through clothes outside of my boring 9-5. The more bright and loud the colors, the better. Always!!!

  • fsc

I love being able to wear bright colours, but there’s always a fear of colours clashing and producing an atrocious outfit instead

  • Susanne

I fear color blocking can look juvenile at times and almost look like you got dressed in the dark. I don’t think everyone can pull off color blocking.

  • Elaine N

I fear, it may be a little to much color or it will clash with the colors in my outfit.

  • cheri wagner

Color blocking is such a fun and strong trend. So festive and vibrant!

  • Chris H

Love the pop of color especially with solid colored outfits!

  • Linda

Color blocking adds demention…ESP. If you are wearing a solid color… can Also inhance a pattern by bring out color….never be afraid to wear color blocking bags ..color, pattern,florals..anything goes today.have FUN with it!

  • Stacy F.

I love having different colors all on one bag AND THAT is also my biggest fear…what color combo a designer uses and the placement of said color. On bags it’s not That big of a deal as far as placement is concerned, but on garments…oh yeah.

    • Carolyn

I love how a pop of color can completely change the look and feel of an outfit, especially with a handbag and shoes!

  • CharBernard

I love the trend like the stella mccartney dress it can be slimming and a nice way to incorporate hues into your wardrobe – especially if you are not too keen to prints it’s a great alternative – now what I fear about the trends and trends in general is that everyone looks the same so now when it comes to style and dressing you truly how to think outside of the box and make the look all on your own…

  • Chrarles

♥ the look & fun of color blocking!

    • Noor anissa

This bag made me fall in love with it’s vibrant colorsand would be a chic bag for mommies especially when on sHort shopping trip as fashionable diaper bag!

  • Helen

I love color blocking as a way of expressing one’s personality. I live in New Zealand where women are addicted to wearing black and afraid of wearing colour. Our lives need more color, and what better way to do this than a beautiful colourful bag which says “look at me, world!”

    • Jackie Ellis

Totaly agree! (said from another NZ woman lol)

  • courtney d

My color blocking fear is overdoing it and looking like I’m wearing a flag!

    This purse if amazing!

  • Julie

I love the bold look, but worry I will tire of it easily.

  • LeaD

I love the boldness created by color blocking.

  • Elise

I love that color blocking can add a much needed pop or flair to an otherwise uninspiring outfit. Color blocking with an accessory is a great way to make work clothes transition to happy hour, or to weekend wear!

  • Elisabeth

I love color blocking because the bright colors make me happy! :)

  • Donna

What I love about colorblocking is that because of the many colors I think it will carry over well into spring

  • Bonney

I “fear” buying lovely bright pieces to colour block with and then once i’m home finding out that I don’t have anything to wear with them, so having to endure more shopping! Although endure isn’t quite the right word, I love an excuse to shop!

  • klee

  • chrisine

fear of looking like a clown!

  • Sarah

I love colour blocking because it can create a great statement piece and make an outfit really pop!

  • Kate

I love color blocking because it gives me an excuse to wear multiple standout colors at once!

  • Charlotte

I love the way it looks on others but have not yet had the courage to try it myself yet!

  • karoline

i like colorblocking but the only thing i fear about it is that the color combo will be tacky

  • sunflower

I love color blocking because it is unique in a sea of black bags. I really do not fear anything about them. I have been wearing color block bags for a few years now – I just put my stuff in them and go! I do try to stick to a color scheme with the whole outfit though so I don’t look like a clown.

  • Kristen

I fear looking like a quilt when color blocking.

  • Jackie Ellis

I fear getting it wrong and it looking cliche, and large blocks of colour over parts you want to hide!. But I love the fact that it adds more colour to mix and match with, and just adds a sense of spark to your style.

  • Mags

I love how easy it is to add punch to a simple outfit with a little color blocking. I fear that overdoing it will make me look like I stepped out of the ’80s though.

  • Mei

I love colour blocking because it looks fun but I’m not sure I’m brave enough to pull it off!

  • Stella Tran

I love colourblocking because its fun and add some twist to your look, sometimes when your already in a one solid color outfit you need to twist it up with a colorblock bag so it doesn’t get boring.

  • Sam

I love colorblocking because of the striking colors that come together.

  • Joy

I love color-blocking because it’s easy to express your individuality, but I fear that it’s easy to go overboard with the mixing of colors.

  • Sundeep

I love the confidence that comes with wearing some serious colourblocking…totally afraid of looking overdone.

  • Donna Vitan

My most favourite part about colourblocking is getting to wear my fave bright colours and feeling the fun just exude from within!

  • Shana

I love the vibrancy and the bravery of the color combinations!!!

  • SabbyFair

The one thing I fear with colorblocking is if I’m wearing it right or if I’m a fashion don’t. On the other hand I love how the pops of color make me feel sassy and gi e me a kick of confidence.

    Thanks for the amazing giveaway!

  • Katie

I would love to colorblock, but I am constantly afraid that if I try it, the colors will be all wrong and will make me look like a train wreck rather than a well put together color blocker! :-) I absolutely am in love with the navy and minty green version! What a great giveaway!

  • Maria

“What do you love or fear when it comes to color blocking?”

I love and fear that I am a standout. I love that I am different and extraordinary but I also fear that I would look unorthodox and ludicrous to the untrained fashion eye!

  • Vix

    I fear color clashing!

  • Shelly

My fear is that I will not know how to pull together an outfit that complements the gorgeous Botkier bag! I love the tan and navy one–total classic!

  • Britta

I love that it is so simple, yet says so much.

  • Janis

I love colour blocking…I get to wear a few of my favourite colours in one bag!

  • Nicole

I love that color blocking adds a touch of boldness to any outfit!

  • Ursula

I love the look of color blocking, but I’m afraid that it will fight with my outfit.

  • Sara Martinez

I’m always afraid of overdoing it with bright colors. I’ve recently started doing it. The more I colorblock, the more I love it!

  • Jamie

I would fear that the color blocking would lead to limited wardrobe options but I love the second two and I could see many outfits they could work with if I put my mind to it!

  • May V

What do you love or fear when it comes to color blocking?

I would fear that people would look at me in a negative way, especially if the colors do not work well together. As a person who is self-conscious about what I wear, it would definitely be hard to want to stand out in a crowd, especially in a bright color.

  • Chongy

I love wearing colour blocking pieces as it really puts me into the right mood for the day! I feel eccentric! There are no rules for colour blocking, it’s fun and experimental and you can just put peices together that you can’t wear on it’s own! :)

  • kesya Moedz Jenan

Color Blocking is Pop is Fun is Love so its fashion … And fears about it ? What for ?!? Its fashion … Is the place that u can have fun with ….

  • Jean Estrada

Color blocking is really eye catching and darn well pulls a neutral outfit together! However, I’m a little shy of standing out in a crowd especially since I’ve been accused of dressing younger than my age group. lol! That won’t stop me from using this bag if I were to win it!

  • EM

I fear I don’t have enough of the right color clothing to go with a color blocked bag.

  • Amanda

I’m not afraid of color blocking on handbags since I wear mostly black. Any color blocking effect will be so POP on me.

  • Melissa mcintyre

I’m never sure what colors work well with each other! I love the look, just not sure how to pull it off!

  • lil

love colorblocking because its a great way to pull off bright colors!

  • olivera davidoff

“What do you love or fear when it comes to color blocking?”

Colour blocking has been the staple of many bags that I have seen but in order for it to work you need to marry the right colour tone with the bag’s material or choice of texture. What I fear when it comes to colour blocking is a busy tapestry and what I love would include a modern line with a strong sense of colour to give the bag personality.

  • Suzie

I love colorblocking in accessories when you’ve got all neutrals going on- it makes any outfit much cheerier!

  • FJ

I am afraid I might have so much color going on that I will look like the Griswald Christmas house.

    • IslandBB

Love colorblock but agree- if not tempered it can be overwhelming!

  • Jen

I have absolutely no idea on how to put together an outfit with colorblocking, though I would love the opportunity to ROCK such an amazing bag!

  • laura

i love how color blocking incorporates different colors and provides bright pops. it all depends on the coordination of color, though.

  • Alexander Davidoff

As a garden designer and a male who would not wear a handbag I won’t speak of anything to do with colours but I can tell you that a bag which grabs the attention of a male passing by is an accessory worth clutching. All accessories whether it’s in the garden or worn, are used for attention – a handbag although useful to hold all the necessities of daily life can still be a piece of art that brings attention to the holder.

  • Kim

What do I love about color blocking?

I love the graphic flair of color blocking, and all of the unexpected color combinations the designers are dreaming up.

I fear that it would be hard to match outfits with so many different colors.

  • Ruhee

I love color blocking as it adds so much pizzaz to an outfit….

  • Amy

I love color blocking because it instantly adds drama to any outfit!

  • Ann

I love that colorblocking is the perfect opportunity to transform an otherwise BLAH outfit or accessory and make it outstanding! Like me LOL ;)

  • Christine

Since my wardrobe, especially for fall, already consists of blacks and grays, I LOVE colorblocking because it adds that extra touch of sparkle(*) to my outfit, well, asides from the jewelry ;)

(*) – color, variety, wow, etc. etc.

  • Heather

Love the idea of combining colors that don’t typically go together into 1 sleek look!

  • Lori

I love colorblocking — it shows how bold colors can go together even if first glance you might not think they can.

  • Peach

I love that I could wear the simplest, monotone clothes and let a colorblocked bag do all the talking!

  • michele wetmore

I don’t fear it! I love the bright colors. Will add a spark to any outfit….

  • Debi

What I love about color blocking is being able to combine structure (geometric shapes) with a hint of playfulness (colors) without seemingly going gaga. Color blocking is truly infectious :)

  • Kathy Hanley

I love how you can make a color pop with colorblocking especially with a beautiful bag! I also like the way it would look with say jeans, boots and a simply T in one of the colors!

  • Laarnie

I love COLORBLOCKING! I have a tendency to either not match at all or match waay too much! With colorblocking, you can show others how to work those outfits that you thought looked improper with anything, and then wear it and have no care in the world because you look GOOD even though others may find it distasteful.

  • Alicia

I love it because it allows you to change up a classic neutral outfit, whether professional or casual… and it hints at personality while sharing your own personal take on style.

  • Joani

I love color blocking, reminds me of the swinging sixties and the carnaby street looks. Those bags are to die for!

  • Alex

I LOVE that I can pull items in my closet from past seasons that I haven’t used in ages. I can combine my old fuschia, citrus, and jewel-toned pieces that I once purchased as “a pop of colour” to create perfectly on-trend looks – and without breaking the bank!
I also like how much colorblocking contrasts the neutral-on-neutral trend that has been so popular.

What I fear is that colorblocking will go out of style before I realize it!!

  • Libbie

I love color-blocked accessories since I tend to wear a lot of neutral-colored clothing.
The best color-blocked bags toe the line between eye-catching and overdone. Those Chloé bags from a few seasons ago were really good examples of color-blocking gone wrong; they had too much going on and just ended up looking like a failed craft project. This Botkier model’s shape is perfect for color-blocking, especially with the satchel straps and crossbody strap. The hardware is fun and different, and I love that it doesn’t have overt logos. I’m partial to the coral/fuchsia/persian blue iteration, myself.

  • missjenny2679

I tend to fear colorblocking in bright colors. I feel like i can get more use out of a solid colored bag. However, winning one of these would be the perfect chance to step outside my comfort zone!:)

  • carl

I fear that it might make me look shorter than i already am!

  • Jessy

I fear colour blocking because I’m so used to wearing neutral colours. There is a lot of black in my closet, even when it comes to my handbags!

If I win this contest, I’m afraid I might end up choosing the mustard satchel although I’m telling myself that I must MUST choose the bright purple one because it’s so out of my colour range!

  • s.l.

Love – the boldness & how it can add freshness to something basic. Fear- the colors not working out well.

  • Cadence

I am afraid that if I buy a color blocked bag, it won’t match any of my clothing! I don’t mean “matchy matchy” but more like it will just stand out against my clothing like a sore thumb! But I just love the colors in these and can see any of them coordinating nicely with my wardrobe!

  • gpc

I love color blocking when the contrasting colors are unexpected, but not “over thought”!

  • Lisa

Love the idea of colorblocking, since I usually shy away from color, a perfect way to add a pop to my wardrobe.

  • Dee

I love an unexpected mix of colors. I fear blending in too much, so color blocking can resolve that.

  • melissa

i love colorblocking when it uses bright and muted colors together to bring a sense of whimsy to something others might think is staid and conservative!

  • Lorie

I love color blocking because it takes me back to my childhood when all my favorite toys had bright colors in fun combinations. How fun is it that we can have big girl toys like that too?!

  • DJ

Color blocking is the trend that is inspiring me the most this Fall. It’s liberating to see unusual and exciting combinations of colors graphically splashed on shoes and hats, and everything in between. Botkier’s satchel is a perfect example of color blocking done right.

  • Zmama

I love it! Its a great excuse to brighten up fall and winter wardrobes and of course add a splash of color to the mostly black outfits I often wear!

  • Alex H

When color blocking I worry that things will be too matchy-matchy, or that I am forcing certain colors on an outfit. Especially if some are more Summary or Autumn themed colors in the wrong season!

  • Seashells

Love colour blocking accessories (like the interestingly hued Botkier’s new small Eden Satchel – so many different eye-popping shades = so spoilt for choice!) because it can be a statement piece and give any look du jour a refreshing twist.

    Disadvantage is that one may go overzealous with the many colours although I guess you can always argue that you’re trying to create a new take on wearing colour blocked accessories by matching colour for colour. Even better if you can carry that look off, but even if you couldn’t, you can wear the badge of a fashion deviant proudly with your colours-inspired outfit, along with a Botkier Eden Satchel of course (;

  • Tina

Color blocking can be trendy and can work really well when it is done correctly. It also gives that wow factor because it shows that you are daring. But when it goes wrong it can be really embarrassing and you can look like a box of broken crayons. I love how color blocking is daring yet classic at the same time!

  • Hilary Fenwick

I love how it makes you stand out and you can wear colors you usually wouldn’t wear on their own XD

  • Rachel

That colors will look too much like a crayon rainbow…

  • klynneann

I love that, for me at least, it’s a lot easier than mixing prints!! Plus, I love color.

  • Bebangskie

I love color blocking because its an asset or an edge of such bags. If you have those lovely bags, it signifies that you as a person is a vibrant one; that you are optimistic and happy. Color blocking nowadays are very trendy, but some makes mismatch… But for me, it really express who you are, because color itself represents your totality as a person

  • Bebang

  • Aparna

When done right it adds drama and a pop of color. Love it!

  • Jenn

I love the look on others, but I’m afraid that color blocking will look ridiculous on me!

  • Izzi89

What I love about color blocking is that it makes me stand out from the crowd and it brings attention in a good way.
What I fear about color blocking is going overboard with too many bright colors.

  • Zanya

I love color blocking because it adds vibrant in your outfit and makes you stand out in the crowd

  • May

I fear pairing colors that don’t go together!

  • annabelle

I color blocked a lot this summer, and I loved it…BUT my brother and guy friends called me a “pumpkin” when I wore an orange shirt with green pants. (>.<) Don't care what they say though, I'll still color block till I die. hahaha

  • Cathy Fitz

I love colorblocking! Especially when done so that the beautiful hardware and design are accented. It’s a way to have a classic looking bag (like this Botkier) and have color pops that make the bag modern. Modern/hot and classic at the same time. How can you go wrong?

  • Nyc

I fear looking like a60’s throwback aka Goldie hawn’slaugh in girl..remember she would pop out and be wearing a color block mini with writing all over her,,,but these bags are GORGEOUS I love the blue green one all the shades of the sea which will be nice when it starts snowing in NYC to remind us of the sun and sea.. I also love the pink one yummy!

  • Cassie Marie

I love how bold, daring and vibrant color blocking is! It’s a fashion style that is unique to each person wearing it, and there’s never any right or wrong answer, its just whatever you chose! Love the Botkier bags, perfect for Fall!

  • Jenny

As good as colorblocking looks on this bag (nice one Botkier!) I’m always afraid I’ll end up looking like a bad 80’s sweater.

  • Sharon

Those bags are just so lovely! I love colour blocking when it spices and dresses up my outfit of the day. However, when colour blocking goes all wrong, I would appear to be trying too hard and end up looking like a clown.

  • Tami

I always worry that I will look a like a Mondrian painting. But color blocking is so fun!

  • Tania

I love how colorblocking looks so effortless, but hate how it could all go awry if not executed well!

  • skyez

love it with a plain outfit! brings out the vibrancy and the cuteness of bold colors! :)

  • Jacqueline

I worry that it won’t match with my outfits.

  • Victoria

I fear that I will clash or look like I got dressed in the dark.

  • desaria

my biggest fear is that it wont match my outfit or that it looks funny

  • Karen

I love how each color looks even richer when color blocking is done right, and how color blocking highlights clean, modern shapes. With one of these gorgeous bags, I wouldn’t fear anything!

  • mm

I love color but fear color blocking might be a trend that will not last. So fashion lovers we have to keep it going LOL

  • Ron

What I really love when it comes to color blocking is it can stand out from what I wear. If I wear plain clothes and carry a color blocking purse, whoah! makes a statement and highlight my outfit. I don’t have fear of color blocking as I’m confident in choosing the right color to wear.

  • Nook

Sometimes I love how each color contrast to each other when the color blocking is match each other and looks futuristic, but sometimes I fear when the color blocking is too rich or too contrast to each other and it doesn’t suit with my skin color.

  • Stephanie

What I love about color blocking is all the endless possibilities it gives you. Color blocking really allows you to express yourself, you can be ultra bold by creating a unique outfit or ultra chic by going with something tame and letting the bag do the talking.

  • Christine A.

I’m thrilled to see the Botkier Eden Satchels! Color blocking is so striking it is hard to ignore. It is bold, daring and fun! The vibrant hues immediately captured my attention. These purses know how to pack a punch!

  • Jen

The thing I love and fear about color-blocking is the same thing: its intensity! It can add such a pop of color that it feels almost dangerous mixing it into my wardrobe but that’s what makes it great – that unique, interesting touch when it’s done right.

  • Julie Stam

I love color blocking on purses because I tend to wear a lot of black so it feels like a “safe” way to add color to my outfits, especially colors I would not normally wear.

  • mimika

I love everything about Botkier bags whether it’s colorblocking or anything else!! what i fear is not winning this lovely bag! please please please please please let me have it!!!!!! thank you !!!

  • izzy

I fear wearing too many clashing colors at once, and I love being able to be creative and bright!

  • alouette

I love how this trend can make any drab outfit really stand out amongst a bland sea of neutrals. However, I fear colorblocking may seem dated come next year.

    Prove me wrong!!

  • Fatima

I would be most afraid of being over colored wearing too much color

  • May

Love the clour blocking of those lovely Botkier bags, especially the purple/blue one! What I love about clour blocking is that it catches people’s eyes at first glance, and makes one stand out from the crowd. This season, more is more! So for the this spring season (living in OZ!), I’m going to experiment with clashing colour on outfit, and asseccories!

  • An

I love that the colors can work and harmonize with each other while stating each or their own personality at the same time.

  • Melinda

I don’t know about “fear”, but I definitely feel that colorblocking needs to be done right. It can look very awesome or totally ridiculous.

  • Lisa

Color blocking is just fun. It lets you have fun with colors and just show off your flirty side.

  • Emily

I love the contrast between the multiple colors. Gorgeous bags!

  • Chele

Since I’m petite, I’m afraid colorblocking will make me look even shorter! So I tend to stick to a fairly conservative color palette (lots of black, brown and blue). A colorblocking bag would be a great way to spice up my outfits!

  • Janine

I love color blocking accessories for a bold pop to my wardrobe basics but fear using it in some clothing because it can cut your bodyline and shorten your appearance.

  • Jenni

I’m afraid I’ll end up looking ridiculous. I’d love to use a colorful bag with something else than a black outfit, but I’m afraid I’ll overdo it and end up looking like something that should be returned to the eighties….

  • Jane

Color blocking is such a fun way to experiment with different hues! I would love to carry any of the beautiful satchels!

  • Ang

The fun thing about color blocking is that you can let your imagination run and dare to combine the most incredible combination of colours. The best part? It is so on trend right now that nobody will look at you as if you were a strange creature from another planet! Indeed, you can even get the chance to be snapped by some of those famous street-style reporters and eventually show the world that a bit of colour has never hurt anyone. This bag would be the perfect detail to spice up an office suit during the coming winter!

  • May514

    The bag looks wonderful!
I like color blocking because it gives a feeling of youthfulness, also it is versatile.

  • Nectarine25

For me, bags are the way to be playful by showing color. Wearing usually black or other neutral tones, color blocking is a trend I embrace during the upcoming long dark winter.

  • greenpixie

I love the way color blocking can bring together unexpected colors successfully. It can be bold but also clean and simple.

  • Mari

I love how colorblocking can be achieved by adding fun-colored accessories so that I don’t have to stray too far away from “easy” basic colors!

  • agatha

I love color blocking where it has does a ‘fashion’ on the bag so that i can chill and relax on choosing my outfit :)

  • samia

Love color blocking, but normally just using accessories, its easy as compared to doing it with clothing which can be tricky.

  • gaby

I love color blocking, it’s such an statement. But you have to be careful and be elegant with it, nobody wants to look like a clown. For me colors are life and they brighten up your your day and give in some way a youthful look.

  • Cecilia

I love that color blocking can be bold, daring, and unique.

  • liz

I always always wear black.. so I love colorblocking because it can add the vibrancy to an outfit, it can make everything pop.. PLUS it’s so funny to match funny bright colors to a neutal outfit!

  • Francoise

I love colour blocking as it can instantly brighten an outfit without looking “too much”. It can easily turn a somber outfit into something more lively. For example, a simple orange blouse can be co-ordinated with neutral colours. This can look elegant without it being too extravagant.

    • Victoria

I like color blocking, but in clothing I’m afraid it will make me look bigger if done wrong. In bags I’m afraid of clashing with the rest of my outfit. But I still do it :)

  • Vanna

I love colorblocking because it’s fun, fresh and unexpected! It’s also great for giving an old outfit a breath of fresh air. I’d be a little wary of mixing too many colours, patterns, and prints unless you’re 100% confident you can rock it. Confidence (and color-blocking) can and will really make an outfit pop!

  • Bella

Color blocking says “Yes, here I am, in all my glory, I’m worthy to be looked at because I’m beautiful. Enjoy”

  • Antonia

I love color blocking, esp. for accessories – it makes an outfit pop! It makes you stand out without beeing too flashy.

  • Kolja

Color blocking enhances the possibilites the designer gives with form. And gives us the chance to make a difference. Eden Satchel knows how to. And I would love to wear it!

  • Florencia

Color blocking? I fear looking like a traffic light! :) But I love it, especially on bags and accessories, because I am able to wear my favorite bright colors all at once!

  • Sophie

What I love is that colour blocking has nothing to do with colour but styles and shapes.

  • Julija

I love color blocking on other people, they look stylish and on trend. When it comes to color blocking myself, I fear I scare people!

  • Jinky

i love color blocking because it is attractive color, I have nothing to fear because it suits my taste.

  • bri

I am afraid that the color blocking won’t go with whatever else I have on!

  • Emma

I love colour blocking because you can make your body look like a flower garden in spring! :)

  • DJGO2200

It makes me remember an awful colorblocked jacket I had in the early 90s. I dont want to go back there!

  • Diane lariviere

Love color! No more boring black!

  • zaali

Color blocking is such a hot trend for 2011/2012. I hope that I can wear it with the right colors this Fall/Spring 12.

  • ~bastet

I love color blocking, but I’m scared that I’ll look like an extra from Star Trek: The Next Generation if I pair the wrong colors.

  • tina

I love color blocking because it is so colorful and cheerful to me. It just pops right out you!

  • jackie

what i love about color blocking is how you can experiment with it. Mix and match different stuff and you’ll get a whole lot of results. though what i fear about color blocking is looking weird to some people, but hey, it’s a free worl out there. :)

  • Inge

I love how vibrant and poppy your outfit looks. However, I also fear that I will look like a walking traffic light, as I somehow always lean toward bright colors (red – pink – coral). In the city where I live, people are not very fashionable.

  • Camille

There’s nothing to fear with color blocking, I love that if your confident , daring and playful enough to wear the vibrant colours, class and personal style will show through

  • jamie

i love color blocking because you’d stand out from the rest. and you definitely wont have anyone with the same outfit..

  • mizbizwiz

Block to shock a frock, rocks.

  • Catherine

I was just looking for a satchel yesterday.
Being a teen in the ’70’s, when fashion was all about color, it seems time- 40 years later- for me to step out of the comfort zone I’ve created for myself.
    It’s time to ROCK!

  • Babs

Hmmm…don’t care for these bags…the colors used do not work for me. Plus, this style already seems old to me. Been there, done that.

  • Ann

Love the pink/orange combo- perfect pop for New York girls who live in Black!!!

  • Caroline

I love the creative freedom color blocking allows; it opens up a new dimension of accessorizing with color.

  • Sandra

I love colour blocking because it makes a fun statement piece. I fear that I do not properly coordinate the rest of my outfit to my colour blocked accessory!

  • Patrizia Worrall

I use color blocking in a couple of ways; To maximize the color combos used to draw attention to certain areas of your body, ie face, shoulders, waist etc…. Or to make the colors used POP against each other

  • Iris

Colourblocking helps me use clothes in my wardrobe in new and creative ways. My fear is looking like a layer cake!

  • Jinnie

I love color blocking because a small touch will bring a ton of fun to what was previously just an “eh” outfit. I love these bags!

  • Addy

I love the strong swatches of color as I wear mostly neutrals. Perfect for fall and winter!

  • Amy

I fear looking like a Mondrian painting, like this one:,_Blue,_and_Yellow.jpg

I don’t think these Botkier bags would do that to me though. I love them!

  • Samreen

I love colorblocking because of the vibrant colors that can completely change the look of your whole outfit.

  • Nina

I love the look of color blocking. It brings color and fun to classic pieces. What I fear, though, is taking it too far or not pulling it off. I think that, when done right, color blocking can be beautiful but, when done wrong, it can also be a disaster.

  • BLynnT

I love adding a strong pop of color to an outfit, but I’m afraid of overhwhelming the rest of my look.

  • melinda g

I really like color blocking because it’s like having multiple bags with just one purchase, you get way more for your money by having a bag you can wear with tons of colors.

  • BagMiss

I’ve always loved colors so color blocking is one way to express myself. And what I fear: I don’t want to look like a Mondrian’s painting! :D

  • Mimi

I am fearless when it comes to color.. but my if I had to pick something I am afraid of, it would be looking like everybody else with the color block trend. The blue/green is TDF btw!!!!

  • Jess!

I love colour blocking because it really allows a bright pop of colour into your outfit. What I fear about it, is that unless I wear all black otherwise it’ll clash and my look goes horribly wrong!

  • Lori

My only fear is will I clash – oy!!! But love the color blocking on these bags – just will have to match clothes to the bag instead of vice versa!!

  • Laura

I fear the color blocking will be trendy and I will not be able to get a lot of use out of the bag. These color combinations are beautiful.

  • Sarah

I absolutely love color blocking because it can be a bold statement or subtle and refined depending upon how you choose to wear it. I think its a timeless fashion trend and these bags are just TDF!!!! (seriously though – this bag is begging to come live [and of course be used/flaunted/paraded around] with me)

  • Shana

I love bold colours, so I’m loving the colour blocking trend! But I’d be afraid of wearing too many colours in one outfit.

  • Yngvil

I fear color blocking some times because I’m afraid looking like I’m trying too hard. I think it’s cool if the outfit is carefully thought out and it does not give the impression that you have stumbled into the closet and put on your most colorful clothes. But color blocking can be really cool if you get it right.

  • Widi

I fear color-blocking because i feel color blocking pieces are so attention grabber (esp those with contrasting colors combo). I feel they are one off pieces to be worn alone or only with neutrals. It takes away the fun of layering and mitch-matching.

  • Widi

I fear color-blocking because i feel color blocking pieces are so attention grabber (esp those with contrasting colors combo). I feel they are one off pieces to be worn alone or only with neutrals. It takes away the fun of layering and mitch-matching in an outfit.

  • Anna

I love the potential that comes with color-blocking: being able to create a unique, distinctive and, most importantly, fun look! The key to me is being wary of the colors that you pair together and wearing the look with confidence.

  • Robynbenz

I LOVE the way you can transform ANY outfit with just one AMAZING bag!

  • Alexandra Davidoff

Colour blocking isn’t for everyone, and is never the same when shown on two different women. As an artist with a quirky personality I admire the fact that to colour block successfully one has to have an understanding of themselves and the colours they choose to express their identity to the world. It is easy to dress in shades of grey. However the way one displays colour often says something about the way they see themselves when looking in the mirror. Colour reflects a plethora of memories and emotions which are often hidden in the sea of black that swarms our modern day streets – black is a comfot zone. Colour is a battlefield torn in half by two armies, one composed of the part of ourselves that is fearful and the other composed of the part that is bursting with happiness. Colour blocking makes me dream of a chameleon frozen for a moment while uncertain of how to blend in so that a kaleidoscope of vibrant hues is seen reflected off her scales, dozens of colours at the one time and scattered in all the right places.

I personally love colour blocking and have been indulging in colour even before it was on the top of the trend list, expressing much experimentation with colour in my fashion forward paintings and my wardrobe.

  • Renee’

I so adore color blocking and even more so in accessories like bags! It allows me to wear my admittedly often times boring NY all-black wardrobe AND wear my favorite colors at the same time.

  • Katherine Seikkula

Living in a small town and being fashionable is hard because everything has to be ordered on line. I love color blocking because it is a bold statement that you are confidant and strong!

  • Aya

I like it because it gives you a chance to brighten up your wardrobe!

  • ArleneP

I am surprised that I am liking the looks of these bags and my greatest fear is that I would like to own all of these cute bags!

  • Amy A.

I love that the purple & grey color blocked dress that I am wearing RIGHT NOW makes my waist look much smaller than it is! I fear that I won’t win one of the gorgeous bags to go with it!

  • Juli

I love the shape of the bag and color blocking is great for so many reasons. It’s a clean aesthetic that allows you to add accent colors without looking too busy. I really like that you can put together colors that may not go together in a traditional sense but in the presentation of the bag they compliment each other perfectly. In that way it opens up your whole wardrobe and allows you to wear items that you may not have worn together in the past but can now wear with confidence because you have a major style element bringing together items you own in a new way. It’s a modern element that’s from the past yet is now new and relevant.

  • Lisa *

Love Color Blocking…makes anything look like a piece of artwork. Thanks for the chance to win this gorgeous bag!

  • Kelly

I love the bold statement and challenge of the colors (fear taking it too far…)

    • Aminah FK

It opens up so many options and gives you more ways to wear the same outfit; a white tee can pop with fuchsia shoes and just a pretty purple belt can make a coral dress look more vibrant. No dress ever has to look the same twice thanks to this delicious fashion statement and the best part is that there are no fashion rules to hold you back. On the other hand, though I’m enjoying color blocking now, I do fear that looking back, if overdone, it will be a look I may regret.

  • jenny

absolutely love color blocking! it lets you wear two entirely colors easily!

  • Sammie

To me colorblocking has a positive and a negative aspect.Positive in a way that my summer wardrobe was not all grey and white this summer, and that i really looked more friendly during the hot season :)
negative aspect : too much is still too much,i have sometimes been afraid to look like a walking ample :)

  • Brandi

Color blocking is scary for me. I’m not that good at matching colors. :) I really like these bags, though, and think they would be a fun addition to any wardrobe.

  • Aquarelle

I’m truly, madly deeply in love with the pink and red combination – it makes me feel a bit naughty…

  • t

I need the color blocked bag to add some kick to my mostly black and grey wardrobe. :)

  • Annalisa

What I love about colorblocking, especially on the new Eden Satchel, is the way in which the individual colors highlight the architecture of the bag itself. The different parts of the bag (flap, handles, shoulder strap) are all highlighted, meaning that no part of the bag goes unnoticed. There are no “throwaway” components, here. Everything is a jewel in the crown. The colorblocking on the Eden satchel is particularly well-executed. The bag has some serious structure, and the vibrant pops of color keep the bag incredibly fun. In plain black or brown, this bag would be an attractive workhorse for the business world, but would be lacking that element of special surprise. The colorblocking brings that element to the bag, in a visionary collaboration of business and pleasure. I love how colorblocking bold hues can bring a sense of whimsy and humor to something with so much utility.

  • Judy

In color blocking each part of your outfit needs to come together. It makes you feel as bold as the colors you are wearing. But don’t include every color of the rainbow unless your the next act in the circus.

  • Amanda K

I love the look and feel of many different colors coming together to make one ensemble!

  • Margaret

I love the intense color saturation gained by the process, but I fear that some combinations, especially of bright complementary colors, could create a color vibration effect that calls too much attention to itself. Thus, if I were to buy a color blocked bag, I would want the colors (intensity, saturation, hue) to be perfectly balanced. But I also fear that carrying a color blocked bag (especially one that lacks that perfect balance) would make me look like a walking Mondrian painting!

  • Brooke

I love color blocking because it’s so daring, which also makes me feel a bit timid when it comes to the trend

  • Claire

I love the way color blocking showcases sumptuous materials while drawing attention at the same time.

  • Kat

i don’t fear anything about colorblocking; i love it but these days it’s gotten so popular that i haven’t been wanting to do it too much lately. that bag is so cute, though!

  • Lindsy S

To be mixing too many colors which is why I usually keep it to accessories. Love this bag!

  • Tammy

I love color blocking because it is a great way to standout and make a statement about what you are wearing, but at the same time I fear that I will look like I am trying too hard. This bag is a perfect way to dip my toe in the trend! Thanks for hosting a fabulous giveaway!

  • Shelley W

I’ve only owned one color blocked item. I’m fearful of owning more because I dread waking up in the morning and fearful of what I should pair with it. As I get older, but wiser, I’m more opt to experiment even if I do break a few rules along the way.

  • Lisa V

I love color blocking but I’m afraid if I choose the wrong colors, I’ll look like a box. lol Also afraid to choose colors that clash. It’s so funny how things can look good in your mirror in the morning..then half way through the day you’re like “what was I thinking”?

  • Oli

I love colorblocking because it allows me to experiment on combining different bright/muted colors and find new color combos that works together beautifully. It also emphasizes the attention-getting factor, which is why we are all into fashion, right?

  • Monica

I fear that it may clash with my outfit!!

  • Lianne

I love color blocking because the possibilities are endless, both in the colors, and what kind of outfits you can match it to.

  • Sam

Love it!!!! I always wear black so it adds color!

  • Judy

Love all the colors that Botkier…especially the magenta/coral version.

I love everything about colorblocking it forces you to be creative about color…there’s nothing to fear. Fashion’s all about taking risks!

  • Leslie V

The vibrant pop of colors! I love how it make bold fashion statment! Totally luv’n The Botkier bag!

  • Lucy

What I fear about color blocking the most is the color! I’m afraid of color. All my bags have been black until recently when I finally stepped out of my comfort zone and purchased a purple bag. I love it! I’m drooling over the green and blue one. It’s gorgeous! What I love about color blocking is the versatility. I love a bag that can be worn with many outfits and for many occasions!

  • susan

Love the bold way it can change an outfit you already have, making it completely new…however always fear that I will look like I might be color -blind, like my bff ‘s husband! ;)

  • LocalCeleb

I love the expression of color blocking and I fear absolutely nothing, you only live once!

  • Manda

I love color blocking but I do fear some color mixes are hard to pull off. I fear that I will tire of certain color mixes.

  • Kritika

Colour blocking is a fabulous trend because it isn’t absolutely outrageous – it’s extremely accessible to everyone. The Botkier bag is especially lovely because the rigidity of the shape contrasts with the light frivolity of the colours splashed on it, highlighting features like the buckles and straps.

  • Veee

Colorblocking makes me feel like a Golden Girl and Samantha Jones from SATC at once!

  • Christine

I love color blocking because I believe you can never have too much color in an outfit! Color blocking is simple, yet makes a bold statement.

  • Kristina

I’ve stayed away from color blocking because sometimes I fear looking like an outdated Rainbow Brite patchwork quilt. But hey, I realized–you know what? Who cares if I do! As long as I feel good and I’m rocking it, no fear of color blocking will stop me!

And those bags make me squee like no other.

  • Lynda

When it comes to colorblocking, I love how the colors are so opposite, but they somehow work! It makes such a bold statement and I love it! [:

  • pc

I like color blocking on a stand out article of clothes or accessories, it makes a statement!

  • Emily

I love the freshness that color blocking bring to an outfit. When properly done, it can turn any outfit from drab to chic! Love it!!

  • cq

Yes, contrasting colors really stand out in a crowd. If you don’t “own” the look, it may come across as being clownish. It takes confidence to pull it off!

  • crow

Color blocking requires a leap of faith. When it misses – sheer disaster. When it works – sheer heaven.

  • Joanne

I like colorblocking when done right. I think Elizabeth II does it well. She always looks put together when she is out and about. Helps to have her wardrobe budget. Cheryl Cole did it badly last summer with the orange blouse purple flairs that did NOT fit. I tend to stay within a color family myself. I mix colors of the same family or complementary family when I dress. I usually stick with 3 colors at a time. More than that … it’s clownsville.

  • Jun

Colorblocking is lovely. I adore the fact that it gives a “pop” to an otherwise simple outfit or accessory. However, I’ve limited my colorblocking purchases to mainly accessories and tops for fear of “over doing” it.

  • Alex

I’m nervous about colorblocking because I’m short. Harsh lines in my outfit could make me look stumpy or square. Practice makes perfect I guess!

  • Tricia

I love color blocking, it is an easy way to put an outfit together.

  • Marnie

I love the splash of colors and I fear nothing about them!

  • Melissa

I love colorblocking! It’s bold and fun!

  • Tina

I love color blocking (that is, if the color combo is right) because it can look very modern and pop-art-y, make a strong fashion statement, and brighten up a very simple outfit!!

  • Michaela

I fear that the colours will clash in different lighting, but I love that it allows me to create fun, unique outfits

  • Lena O

I love colorblocking. Fear that I look like a ragdoll sometimes, though. Hope not :)

  • elizabeth

I love the idea of color blocking, such a great way to add life to an outfit. I worry that it will look clownish if not done well. Eden is done well!!

  • Susa

I’m starting to love color blockin and I’m trying to learn it all the time. I’m from Finland, so using colors is not “every-day-thingie” in here.. If you wear bright colors you will be noticed and stared at (usually everybody wears neutral colors, black, grey and kinda boring stuff). There was a time when I couldn’t even imagine me using bright colors, but now I have started to spice-up my wardrobe with little pieces of orange, red and so on. I try to do it little by little, so I won’t scare myself and go back wearing nothing but black and grey.
So please help me to achieve my goals with this wonderfull bag! :)

  • Cat

I fear looking like bozo the clown :(

  • Daisy

Love color blocking cos it’s definitely the way to grab attention ;D

  • susan

I love color blocking and I think it’s so pretty but I always fear it will look dated after one year. I know i shouldn’t because what comes around goes around.

  • Francesca

I DO love color blocking as a way to express myself,my everyday mood and my “enjoying life”…color blocking is like a SMILE ON YOUR DRESS

  • Candace

Such a great mix of classic and trendy! The color blocking really makes the bag POP! SO CUTE!!!

  • Jessica

I love colorblocking because I love wearing bright colors. It gives me a chance to put pieces together that I would ordinarily think would compete with each other.

  • Ioanna Tsourma

I love colour blocking. I have a couple of sweaters that add a pop of colour to my wardrobe. I don’t have a bag like this, but I believe it will make my office look more interesting! And this one is gorgeous!!!

  • Jen

I love color blocking because its fun and vibrant and can instantly make an outfit pop. Sometimes people can go over board though with too much going on. My rule of thumb is to wear neutrals with colorblocking.

  • Michelle

I like colorblocking because I like the energy it brings to an outfit! I don’t do it too often, but when I do, I FEEL it. Those bags are gorgeous and I looooove Botkier’s lambskin!

  • Kristen

I love color blocking because the bold pops of color engage the eye with any outfit. It can be fun, bold and even humorous at times depending on your look. Also, I love color blocking with a conservative office look to add the extra va va voom!

  • MJ

I have to admit I’m somewhat intimidated by the whole colour blocking trend. While I love what I see when styled, the concept of re-creating that at home with my existing wardrobe and operating in a professional environment is enough to make me stick with what I know. Having said that, I think that a purse is a wonderful way to be on trend without really putting myself “out there”! Call me a wimp. But if it’s an excuse to have to buy one these bags, then so be it.

  • Ellie

As a fan of black, colour blocking used to be just a colour mixed in with a lot of black. so colour bags and accessories are very important to me. the past few seasons of colour blocking have really shown me that colours i would never have put together, such as red and pink, can look really good. and, because of this, ive become much more adventurous in what i wear.

  • Lauren

I like colour blocking, but fear that it will make me look shorter.

  • Shannon

I fear colour blocking because I have literally never worn anything colour blocked.

  • anissa

I fear about colorblocking that the colors will not look right.

  • Anita

I love colorblocking because if it’s done right, it can breathe life into an accessory.

  • Lynda

Color blocking is a breath of fresh air and can really liven up your look.

  • Julie

Normally I hate to clash colours but colour blocking has become a necessity on the high street this season – and I just can’t resist! Blue and green will never be enemies for AW11

  • Emily

I love everything about colorblocking – so many colors to match! I can’t resist a great bag either :)

  • bagluvah

I love colorblocking because it makes me stad out; gives me more character, ndividuality and confidence!

  • julieh

I fear that it will clash with my outfit.

  • Karolyn

    Simply said…
Colorblocking can allow all my favorite colors and my many faceted personality to come together in one truly fabulous look! Nothing can be sweeter than that.

  • bonnie

fear nothing about colorblocking and adore everything….it’s so fun and bold. like me! ;)

  • Jennifer

I love colorblocking, it looks so funky!

Color blocking is something I absolutely love on others but have yet to try on myself. My fear is that I will not be able to pull off a sleek look as so many stylish women I see do. Color blocking is not just about throwing a bunch of colors together, but rather taking seemingly opposing colors and bringing them together in such a way that appears seamless, where no one color ooutdoes another. It is a delicate balance, that, when done correctly, will look like a wonderful piece of art, and yet wearable enough on a daily basis in the office, to a party, or shopping (for more colors that is!)

  • Susie

My fear is of holiday colors. Black and orange and red an green are very hard to pull off.

  • MissV

Biggest fear with color blocking is…looking like a hot mess :P

  • Haylie

I love white/black, green/yellow color block combo. I fear red/purple combo. If you wear black all the time, any color block handbags will be fine with your outfit.

  • Edda

I’m not sure if I can pull off colorblocking. I love it when I see other people trying colorblocking with bright colors and pulling it off. My wardrobe colors are more neutral & muted. I would try it on smaller things first like accessories & shoes.

  • Janet H

i am not too sure about color blocking because i might bit be bold enough to pull it off. i love seeing it, just not on myself. i think i would need to start off slowly and small if i were to try it.

  • Lara

love colour blocking because it can really liven up a ‘simple’ outfit. i fear that if mismatched looks too funny.

    love these bags, really beautiful

  • Jen

Color blocking can add vibrancy to an otherwise blah outfit. The problem is if not done right, it can look gaudy.

  • Jen

Color blocking can add vibrancy to an otherwise blah outfit. The problem is if not done right, it can look gaudy. But the challenge of experimentation is half the fun!

  • Dawn

Fear that it will clash with my outfit

  • adrienne z

my biggest fear is that there won’t be enough colors to choose from and I’d be stuck with colors I don’t like and don’t look good together. If there was an ample selection of colors in the palate, it would be great fun trying to figure out which ones I wanted to put together and where

  • Sheila

As a graphic artist and designer, I have loved color blocking all my life. Clothes and bags with color-block design reveal a wearer’s artistic sensibility. Rock on Piet Mondrian!

  • Jane

Love it! The color blocking can be fun and versatile, a combination between classic and modern.

  • Michelle

I fear getting everything else right when I wear a colorblocked accessory. I Feel like I need to go all neutral other wise I will look like a clown!

  • Denise

I love how anything color blocked really stands out and makes a statement! The one thing that can be a little scary about it though are the color combinations…if they are the wrong ones, you can go from looking chic to freak very easily!

  • KEBrown

I wear a lot of black so I love color blocking bright colors. It gives my look the pop it needs.

  • Rasheedah

What I love is the ability to wear so many great colors at once, including my finger nails. What I fear is not achieving the right balance in colors so it doesn’t look like a crayola box gone wrong.

  • Joy Prado

Color blocking is not for the faint hearted. It makes you stand out in a crowd especially if you wear muted, neutral colors. If you choose a color block handbag with wonderful colors you will definitely be a scene stealer. The fear in color blocking is if there are so many colors that clash or do not go together like a jigsaw puzzle gone wrong. But life is too short and handbags are to be enjoyed. Let’s live a little and wear color block handbags proudly.

  • Deb

I love that color blocking, when done correctly, can really a “pop” of interest. However, I am afraid of blocking the “wrong” colors with each other and looking like a mess, so a perfect accessory like this one is a perfect fit!

  • gabrielle

I love the look of colour blocking BUT i fear i will use colours that dont match.

  • Beth

I am always afraid that I won’t know what to pair with a colour blocked item!

  • Davina

I love that colour blocking looks so sleek and modern! These bags are especially gorgeous!

  • Toni

I am afraid of color blocking because I always like things to match!

  • Lonnie

I love the idea of “color blocking” because it allows for multiple complimentary colors to be displayed, together, in a non-traditional way.

  • Jodi

I Love color blocking, mixing bold colors is sexy, it looks so chic!

  • Alex

I love color blocking, especially with boots! Tory Burch has some great ones, it would be lovely to expand it to my accessories.

I worry sometimes though that it’s a little 60s feeling, I like to be careful how themed I’m getting.

  • Deb

Colorblocking is beautiful, and vibrant and hip, fun and cool…my only worry is whether I can carry it off with my wardrobe!

  • FashionIsMyHobby

If you wear more monochromatic clothing, it tends to let the color blocking on the bag stand out.

  • KateV

I love color-blocked bags because they are so distinctive and eyecatching and always receive lots of complements! Thank you for offering this opportunity to win one of those lovely Botkier Eden Satchels!

  • Brit W

When it comes to color blocking, on bags specifically, I fear drowning out my outfit!

  • ladyloo

I’m afraid that I’ll end up sectioning my body in unflattering ways.

  • BevM.

I love and fear colorblocking as it is either in style, out of style, or vintage!

  • mary beth i

I fear “striping” the look, and not in a good way.

  • myriadmaze

Color blocking is scary as u spend a bomb on these gorgeous bags only to find yourself out of outfits with which to pair them! But they are great to give life to a dull outfit and brighten up a dismal day.

  • Pinkfeet

I’m afraid of color blocking. Love the bright colors, the stand out of the bag but clothing? I don’t want the clothing to over power me.

  • Jackie

I love color blocking because it’s minimal without being boring. I love how it highlights clean lines and structure. At the same time, color blocking adds an element of fun to outfits!

  • swati

I love color blocking because it just puts me in such a happy mood. It is hard to despair surrounded by colors. But you have to be careful, too much and you can end up looking like a cartoon.

  • nitrile gloves

It is really a beautiful bag and would be perfect for this summer. I also agree that the price is high but it’s because of the brand! Thanks for sharing information.
    nitrile gloves

  • pinky

colour blocking would colour your day without blocking the light of your day!

  • fattofasho

What I love about colour blocking that it’s super fun to add vibrancy in an outfit when I feel like it. Especially because I mostly dress in neutral and mellow colours. My fear is over doing it by adding too much colours and not distribute them properly, which at first I would think of as fine but realise my mistake when it’s too late to change (happened a lot!).

  • Bella

I’m a fan of the look and I think the bag is a very inspiring take on the trend. The bag is adorable!

  • chinques

i love it when people can carry the look and i love how each color pops; its like showing different kinds of personality and mood at the same time!! ;)

  • digby723

I like color blocking on other people, but on myself I think it looks weird. I’m not the type of person who can carry off various pops of color in one outfit. I love it with neutrals though, since it can add a great pop of color to an otherwise boring outfit.

  • ElanaVR

What I love about color blocking is that inspires me to put together new looks that I may not have considered before!

  • Sil

what a great contest! thanks to Botkier and to you, guys!

i’ve always liked strong beautiful colors, they’re so full of energy! so seeing them together in every possible combination makes me really happy :)

What I fear about color blocking is that, at least where i live, all the teenagers will be wearing this trend, so i’m a little afraid that i’ll look kind of youthful when i do too. But that’s why I need a great bag to rock! xD

  • Cindy White

I for one, am thrilled how my monochromatic and neutral wardrobe filled with blacks grays and taupes has been revived with color blocked accessories.

  • Kara

Living in Michigan the weather gets dark and depressing for 3 to 4 months straight. Color Blocking allows me to feel bright and vibrant even when the weather feels drab and depressing!

  • Shawna

I fear excessive color blocking. I really like the pop of color you can add to an otherwise neutral outfit – I just want it to be a pop, not a “boom.”

  • Naima

Fear Nothing! Love everything about color blocking, whether it’s tone on tones or bright bold colors, it’s a fresh new way to liven up your wardrobe and accessories.

  • Veruska

Color oh color, how I love thee…
You add such exuberance when worn upon me.
When I mix you and match you,
    you really pop!
    Bold colors on my bottom,
    as well as my top.
    Accessorizing you color,
    creates statements that can’t compare.
    And nobody does it,
    quite like Botkier!

  • Katie

The color blocking bag completes any outfit. Makes jeans a a tshirt look “finished”.

  • Lena

I love color blocking, because I am a colorblind. Yep, red green with defects in blue. Although it is at times a challenge when it comes to coordinating colors in the outfit, it has never prevented me from bright color in my accessories. Love the new colors!!!

  • Erika

I love love love color blocking because it can add a pop of color to your look. It can add a fun interesting aspect to you.
I am a little fearful though because I wouldn’t want it to look like a bad ’80’s retro look – although this beautiful bag does not go that way so I wouldn’t be fearful with this beauty!

  • Kate

I think color blocking is a great way to wear many colors at once. However one of my major concerns with color blocking is mismatched colors and colors placed in the wrong places. It has to be symmetrical and colors have to be complementary in order for color blocking to be done right.

My favorite combination is the green and blue (my two favorite colors!) bag. It looks so fresh and fun!

  • Zoe

    I love colour blocking.
    It’s so simple.
No fussy patterns, just the colours blocked against each other. <3

  • LizCordova

I love the color blocking. This color blocking looks very Mondrian in inspiration. I love to see different colors against one another to see how they contrast with one another. If one wears a simple outfit the pink one would pop!

  • Melissa

I love color blocking for its ability to transform. Siimple shapes and forms are electrified with architectural layouts of complimentary shades and tones.

  • Dana

You would think color blocking would never work but it does and it’s so different and that’s why I love it! The different splashes of color really make a bold statement and I just love this trend!!

  • Victoria

I love that colour blocking allows you to wear more than one bright colour per outfit. Although this has always been possible, now even more people are experiment and step out of their comfort zones with colours in their wardrobe.

  • Nora

I love colorblocking because honestly, I like the attention. Proper colorblocking brightens up even the worst days, and you gotta start with yourself to change the world right?

  • shopalot

I am not afraid of no color blocking! Love to be shocking!

  • temo

I love how bright and bold the color blocking is because I think it would look great with all the black that I seem to wear in winter. (Fingers crossed!)

  • Penelopeb

i love expressing myself with different colors, i fear the laundry and color bleed in the wash!!!

  • Tracy M.

I’m deadly afraid that it will be hard to match when color blocking!

  • Sena S

I love color blocking because it pretty much takes care of your whole outfit looking great!

  • Debbie B

I always fall in love with the most shocking and vibrant color block combinations and want to wear them with everything!! :)

  • Durkhanae

I’m afraid if I get it wrong, I will look outdated. I don’t want to end up looking like a relic from the eighties! On the other hand, I love that this trend ensures that one outfit will never will never look the same on two occasions or two different people :)

  • Melissa

I’m always afraid that the colors will clash with my outfit, or that it would be difficult to wear. I usually stay with very neutral colors or black. I definitely need to add more color to my wardrobe.

  • Vivian

I love having the complementary colors in one piece so I don’t have to choose, and it’s such a great way to highlight whatever color “mood” I’m in with the rest of my outfit.

  • Anne

Color blocking is definitely in again! I love how it gives that splash of life and personality this season.

  • Kells

I love how color blocking adds excitement to any outfit, especially since I always gravitate towards black, white, and other neutrals. What I fear about color blocking…. spilling something and ruining the clean lines of the colors!

  • JenG

What do you love or fear when it comes to color blocking?” I fear that the colors will clash. I usually like simple and one basic color. I have learned that color blocking can and is beautiful. Sometimes we have to let go of our old beliefs and get with the program! Color blocking is beautiful especially with these handbags. I would love the blue and green one!

  • Tovonnia

I love the look of color blocking because it is so chic and fresh. However, I also fear color blocking because I worry about how to pull an entire look together with the bag. I think it takes a degree of confidence to pull off color blocking and to feel good doing it without wearing all black.

  • chrunchy

I love color blocking, but I always fear looking like a clown….

  • Xinlei L.

I love how with colour blocking, you can add a nice, surprising pop of colour into any ordinary outfit.

  • Tiina

I enjoy wearing neutral colours but I still don’t wan’t to look boring so that’s where colour blocking comes in handy. For example I like to mix beige and darker colours such as blue, green, pink, orange…

  • Meredith

For me, I love color blocking because you can wear a piece year round no matter what the season. A classic looking purse that’s pink, green, and navy translates to all looks- evening, casual day, special events, etc. You can’t go wrong!

  • Sabina

Color blocking? Why block color from your wardrobe? No one wants to live in a dull black and white world? Just kidding:)
Color blocking gives dimension and artistic quality to a piece. It creates shapes with color that are not already there. Its like an abstract work of modern art. It’s unexpected in a bag, which is itself an art piece, making it an even greater masterpiece!

  • TinaC

I love colour blocking with my accessories. I usually wear neutral hues and love to add a pop of colour. I have a tote that is colour blocked and wear it all of the time and get tons of compliments. I also have a pair of pumps with colour blocking. LOVE!

  • Linda

Gorgeous bag. I love how the color blocking gives it a fresh outlook. Color blocking in fashion can also give personality to a conservative look . Love it !

  • Sheila

I love colorblocking because you can spice up any outfit like a plain white t-shirt and a pair of jeans with a bag like this gorgeous botkier to add that pop of color… otherwise a black skirt with a white tee and pumps to give it that extra “umph” for a night out on the town…can’t go wrong..

  • Annie

I’m a self-proclaimed wallflower, and haven’t yet found a colorful purse to bring me out into the foreground. I really love the yellow one shown above, however. Although it is bright, it’s not over the top. It’s sure to add a pop to any outfit.

  • Allison

I love colorblocking because it really makes a statement. I love when bright, beautiful colors are paired together and everyone stares at the bag as you walk down the street!

  • Angela

I love colorblocking because it stands out, like me. I love when all eyes are on me. It adds color to any outfit. With a colorblock handbag you can wear an all black outfit and oh my gosh this handbag would be off the chain!!!!

  • Meredith C

I fear colorblocking because it seems like it would be a younger woman’s purse. While the bag pops for me, I’m afraid someone like me over 40 carrying one of these purses would raise some eyebrows. However, if I won, I’d pick the tan/black combo, which is a much easier introduction to owning a colorblocked bag.

  • nah nah

i love color blocking!.. my fear is taht im going to look like a clown or my hand is goign to look like a clown lol.

  • Vchik

What I fear about color blocking is that it is a trend that goes in and out of fashion. Because of that I don’t want to spend too much money on color blocked items.

  • c.lo

i love color blocking! it’s a great alternative to express your individual style compare to different shades of black and grey. with color blocking you can express your mood in any particular day of the week :)

  • marnay

I love that color blocking lets you add a pop of color without having to commit to a whole bag in a bright color.
